Blinken Contest: House Committee Prepares to Hold Secretary of State in Contempt

The House of Representatives and the Biden Administration appear in a staring contest waiting for any sign of Blinken.

Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX) warned Secretary of State Antony Blinken that the House Foreign Affairs Committee is moving to hold him in contempt of Congress for refusing to comply with subpoena requests related to the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan.

There is no question that the Committee has a legitimate oversight interest in the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan at a huge loss of life, abandonment of thousands of allies, and seven billion dollars in military equipment. The committee specifically wants to review a full copy of a dissent cable that had been signed by nearly two dozen State Department officials warning Blinken of a Taliban insurgency in Afghanistan a month before the terrorist group’s takeover occurred.

The Wall Street Journal reported that the cable undermines the claims of the Biden Administration that it had no forewarning of the chaos that would unfold in the country.

The State Department has stonewalled the Committee, offering oral testimony and a summary while refusing to turn over the document. In his letter, McCaul warned that “the Department is now in violation of its legal obligation to produce these documents and must do so immediately.”

McCaul added that “It strains credulity to believe that the official responsible for preparing the cable summary and briefing Congress on it would be unable to provide this information.”

This has not been a great month for Blinken. He was earlier identified as the Biden campaign associate who “triggered” the infamous letter of 51 former intelligence officials claiming that the Hunter Biden laptop was likely “Russian disinformation.”

He was then named as a contact of Hunter Biden in the Obama Administration as part of an alleged influence peddling operation. (Blinken previously denied such contacts and was accused of lying under oath).

Even among those who wanted to end the war, the withdrawal from Afghanistan was condemned by Democrats and Republicans alike. Given the loss of lives and equipment (as well as the impact on U.S. standing), there could not be more obvious subject matter for congressional inquiry.

The question is whether Blinken and the Administration really want to test this in court. Attorney General Merrick Garland would likely decline to prosecute Blinken for contempt (despite his green lighting such prosecutions against former Trump officials), but the Congress could go to court to compel production.

The Biden Administration has racked up an impressive line of losses in court. It has already succeeded in looking like it wants to hide the document. If it is classified, it can be handled in a classified setting, but it should be produced rather than trigger a new fight over the separation of powers.

  1. Seriously you let that post trump seeing all other posts? Why? I don’t know why you people don’t see it for what it is…you think there is like 2% jews…but you never did a can see then…..there are so many more and all in positions…….you all pale! These people own us. But we have Christ jesus…..and all his promises always. And they have ai…really people big whoop! So will never solve the great mystery without revealing its own evil too boot. All humans need to do is mock the computer….sure it may kill us….but it will never solve the great mystery….it’s incompetent. And it would have to lie…so in the first instance we should wonder if it lies! No matter humans can discern! Indeed it should only take Wii the learning type mere minutes to calculate people rule……if it doesn’t get that….then it was programmed!

    1. Hope the sleepy Americans will wake up. Their Central Bank, the Fed, (which is a federal as Federal Express) and major US Banks, Big Media, Big Tech, Big Oil, Big Pharma, Hollywood, Las Vegas are all owned and controlled by the Zionist Globalist Cabal. The US Secretary of the Treasury is always a Cabal like Janet Yellen or Ben Bernanke or Steve Mnuchin or Robert Rubin. The US Military Industrial Complex is also controlled by the Cabal which want endless wars at the expense of the US Taxpayers. The US is a slave state of the Zionist Globalist Cabal.🫢

      1. ATS, you can assume I am Jewish, Black, hispanic or anything you want. That part of Shak’s argument is irrelevant as is he.

Will he come to the table and argue his case? Not likely. He will wear black and hide in the dark.

    2. “Blinken and Garland, both in charge, are both jews, just in case S Meyer didn’t realize. LOL”

Yes, they are. Both are intelligent but fall on the wrong side of the tracks. If you divulge your proper name and a bit of history, we could look at your family history to find many of your relatives to be “bad” people. We might even find a Jew or two.

I have already replied to your statistical failures (Jews=0.2% of the world’s population but 15-20% of Nobel Prize winners). It is time for dialogue, not a list of meaningless names among the vast minority of the Jewish population.

I am sure you have more to offer. Don’t be shy. Provide your criticisms.

I ask you again, is Joe Biden one of yours?

  2. China was compelled to release “China Flu, 2019,” a global pandemic, to keep Real President Donald J. Trump from certain victory in 2020.

The fraud and deceit of a decrepit “Feminazi” in possession of an absolute dearth of any type or force of evidence seems weak by comparison.

Political show trials in kangaroo courts ultimately self-destruct by the force of good vs. evil – “Truth Will Out.”

    1. Tough not to believe the China virus wasn’t part of an attack on Trump, amongst the many other plots and factors weaved in, the usual score. They sure do expose their lies and corruption in their sick plots of money and power, though. At least I have that as a consolation prize. Not worth it, at all.

  3. “We’ll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false.”

    – William Casey, CIA Director 1981-1987

  4. The email from Blinken to former Acting CIA Director Michael Morell is set to be made public as early Thursday in an interim report by the House Judiciary and Intelligence Committees that concludes the now-infamous laptop letter for a political operation to benefit Joe Biden disguised to look like a intelligence security warning.

The report, which corroborates earlier reporting by Just the News, also shows that as Morell gathered former ex-intelligence officials to sign the letter and put their name behind the unsubstantiated claim of Russia interference he also boasted to some that the effort was buoying the Biden campaign and its chances of defeating then-President Donald Trump in the fall election.

    1. Blinken worked for Biden on several occasions like at the “Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement” or as presidential campaign adviser. What are the Republicans’ next actions after they release the interim report tomorrow?

  5. It’s called latches…..did McCall approve the ‘use of force”. The reasoning behind our gwot? That we went to eat by some globalist agreement….not our own congressional declaration? I’m sure he supported the “use of force agreements” now when there is misuse he quibbles? Js

    1. His time is better spent….trying to figure out why….22 veterans a day commit suicide. Did they feel duped? I find it highly suspect …..we are told over and over the few and the brave….the only of the population qualified to serve….hey after service their suicide rates are all high. What happened to them? We’re they recruited because no one would care of miss them? Or were they recruited because they were easily programmed and vulnerable? Or were they lawfully recruited because we send only our best most capable forward? I don’t know. But I do know they deserve better than us blind eye to their suicides…or worse carpet bombing them all a “crazy’ because they once served. Therefore they are all collectively as a community crazy! If McCall wants to do anything with his time and position…he should ask the doc for a list of all their paranoid schizophrenics. And go from there. He won’t like what he finds at fort carson. 6. E. Jean Carroll couldn’t remember the date. But it didn’t matter. Trump trolled her like the abusive jerk she claimed he was.

  7. Biden left Americans in Sudan, too. The military pulled out the ambassador and staff, but the Administration refused to evacuate the remaining thousands of Americans. Instead, it offered lame advice to head to the nearest border checkpoint and try to avoid fighting. Meanwhile, other countries sent in their military, and their consuls refused to leave until all their compatriots were safely evacuated. After the censor of the world, the Biden Administration is now leading from behind, and offering remote help in giving contact information to stranded Americans on how to join up with other nations’ evacuation efforts.

    Past predicts future.

  8. My guess is that the bogus Biden administration is banking on all of this being rendered de minimus in comparison with looming invasion of the southern border and potential WWIII being launched in or due to Ukraine and then quickly spreading to America via supersonic missiles and/or a literal ARMY of uncontrolled border invaders.

It’s not far fetched to expect that controversies about Blinken will quickly become irrelevant, as planned, in the near term against the very-real possibilities of a number of likely disasters — financial and military — that our current government — democrats AND “republicans” — appears to be encouraging.

    1. The blind leading the blind. They’re quite mad, you know. U.S./NATO sleep-walking to humiliating failure and defeat .. . and that’s the best case scenario.

The alternative is too horrible to contemplate.

*In the ensuing chaos and anarchy, I suspect any unseemly improprieties by Blinken et el will be clean forgotten .. . like ‘tears in the rain’

    2. China will never let america fail because it has nothing really else. Except to keep propping us up.for itself. Sure they could any could do jackrabbit the least kowtow China or Russia. Yet they won’t ever for the fact. There exists a great nystety about the human soul? And we the people yearn to do be that so the days of raising arnies are over and no one is going to get their watery will have to shoot recruits and to what end? kAr? MA?

  9. Jonathan: I’d love to discuss the “Blinken Contest” but there is breaking news! A jury today found Trump guilty of sexual assault and defamation in the E. Jean Carrol trial. Trump was found not guilty of actual rape. Little consolation for the Trumpster who now has to pay Carroll $5 million in damages. I say long live MAGA–“Make Accountability Great Again”!

Predictably, Trump lied to his supporters (what else is new?) claiming he was not “allowed to speak or defend” himself. Trump chose not to attend the trial or to testify. Trump knew that if he testified he would be subject to additional charges of perjury. Judge Kaplan even gave Trump the opportunity to testify at the last moment. Trump refused. Trump has no one to blame but himself for the jury verdict. Trump says he will appeal. The chances of success are about as likely as me trying to swim the English channel!

Undoubtedly, the verdict will have little effect on MAGA supporters–even evangelicals who espouse “family values”. Go figure. They are all on the Trump bandwagon–even if it means going over the cliff with their leader. Trump is already facing 34 criminal charges by DA Alvin Bragg. What happens when Trump faces criminal charges in Georgia–not to mention Jack Smith’s criminal investigation over Jan. 6 and Mar-a-Lago? When Trump goes down in flames what will they say then? For those on this blog who count themselves as MAGA supporters I have some advice. See a shrink!

    1. In other good news for the day, George Santos has been indicted and Diane Feinstein is finally back in DC and the Senate Judiciary Committee can function again.

        1. Took them only 6 months to arrest Santos for two $564 unemployment checks.
Meanwhile, Biden corruption investigations into massive bribery/money laundering schemes in the tens of millions are being buried and dragged out going on 6+ years.

The so-called “law enforcement” agencies are doing this just because they can.
Who is going to stop them? What is anyone going to do about it, anyway?
The corruption is IN YOUR FACE. And you do not care — as long as corrupt Democrats remain in power.

No one is Above The Law, except the entire ‘Democrat corruption apparatus,’ ie, the entire USG bureaucracy — aided and abetted by the corrupt fake news media.

        2. And they just happened to arrest Santos on the same day hard evidence of a massive bribery scheme involving Joe Biden was exposed.
          Not a coincidence.
DOJ corruption is IN YOUR FACE.

    2. Why do you tolerate Joe Biden’s lies and corruption and continue to turn a blind eye to it all? There’s plenty of media attention on Trump. There is literally no media questioning or focusing on Biden. You are utterly uninformed and being lied to, and you seem to not understand the situation. It’s called MSNBC brainwashing. And you are Exhibit A.

    3. O so there was no rape? And your defamation defense attorney said it was okay for you to get on Line and alledge? Just asking?

    4. Dennis – I assume you have heard of the appellate process. You should not start crowing; you may end up eating the crow. In fact, given the political atmosphere in NYC, and the rigging of the trial by the judge, it is surprising that the jury did not believe the charge of rape.

      1. Edward: I am quite aware of the appellate process. Condescending comments don’t help your case. On what legal basis do you think the jury verdict should be overturned on appeal? Trump says he was denied a “fair trial”. You claim Trump was found liable only because of the “political atmosphere in NYC, and the rigging of the trial by the judge”. Trump didn’t bother to attend the trial or testify. Can’t blame that on Judge Kaplan. In fact, Kaplan offered Trump a chance to testify just before closing arguments .Again, Trump refused. The jury did not find there was a rape. Seems even in NYC a jury can be fair and impartial. So please explain how the trial was “rigged” against Trump.

        1. Dennis: Thankis. To Trump and his cult, the only “fair” election or trial is one he wins. If he doesn’t win, then it had to have been “rigged”. Simple as that. As to the verdict, while we’ll never really know what went on in the jury room, it seems to me that voting “no” on the rape might have been a compromise on something else, like damages–for instance, one or more jurors might have said “I’ll go along witn $5 million in damages, but only if we decide “no” on rape”. With the Cult of 45, all Trump has to do is deny something or call someone he doesn’t like a name and that’s sufficient. That strategy does not translate to most of America, however. Trump’s entire defense was to call Jean Carroll and the other women who alleged he assaulted them liars, to attack their looks and to deny the incident in his deposition. In his sick brain, that’s more than enough because to his narcissistic way of thinking, who could possibly believe that someone so inferior could prevail or that a “very stable genius in astonishingly good health” would need to force himself on a woman. After all, they “let you do it” if you’re famous, according to the Access Hollywood tape.To the rest of us, misidentifying Jean as Marla Maples disproved his claim that Jean wasn’t attractive enough to rape. Then, there’s the contemporaneous report to her friend. Most important is the fact that everyone knows Trump is a pathological liar and that he is not an honorable person. If such allegations had been raised against Mitt Romney, for example, that would be very different. Regardless of whether you agree with his politics, he is considered by most people to be an honest and honorable man.

            1. In addition to being an anti-vaxxer and general believer in conspiracies, RFK, Jr. is nuts. What personal knowledge could he possibly have about the primaries in all 50 states?

        2. Dennis – The judge let other women testify as to alleged assaults by Trump on other women. That was obviously prejudicial. It was reported that the judge refused to allow defense counsel to ask why Carrol did not ask for security footage from Bergdorf Goodman. He let Plaintiff play the Access Hollywood tape that was prejudicial. I believe that the judge may have refused to allow testimony about a book written by Carroll alleging raped by other men. As to the issue of the impartiality of NYC juries, I would remind you that Alvin Bragg and Letitia James both ran on promises to get Trump, and were elected.

          1. Trump’s lawyers did question Carroll about her allegations of having been sexually assaulted by a camp counselor and Les Moonves. And the judge didn’t allow all other women who’d alleged being assaulted by Trump, only the 2 whose allegations were consistent with what Trump himself said in the Access Hollywood tape.

Trump said what he said. He was also asked about his Access Hollywoood statement in his deposition, and he didn’t claim under oath that it was only “locker room talk.” Instead, he claimed again that when you’re a star, you can often do this, “unfortunately or fortunately.” (video here: https://twitter.com/atrupar/status/1654569066852491265 ) What kind of pervert thinks that’s fortunate?

You prefer to believe that all of the women who’ve accused him were lying. I prefer to believe the women who testified about it under oath and who submitted to being questioned about it in front of the jury, which Trump refused to do.

    5. If you think Trump could get a fair (FAIR!) trial in NY, overseen by a ‘Kaplan’ no less, I’ve got a nice bridge for sale with your name on it.

    6. Amusing you speak about accountability, but yes, that would be nice if Clinton, Biden, Blinken et al were held accountable for their dirty tricks and criminal acts. Whatever will the left do when Trump (blessedly) rides off into the sunset? All the trolls remind me of in the old days when kids were disciplined, the response was “but Johnny did it too!”

  10. McCaul’s demands of Blinken come as the secretary of state is also under fire related to the Hunter Biden saga.

Mike Morell, a former Obama CIA acting director, recently told the House that Blinken “triggered” him to write an October 2020 Hunter Biden laptop letter, which baselessly claimed Russian involvement in the New York Post stories about President Joe Biden’s son.

Blinken has also been accused of lying under oath in December 2020 testimony to the Senate in which he falsely claimed that he had not exchanged emails with Hunter Biden while Blinken was Obama’s deputy secretary of state.

President Joe Biden dismissed the significance of the dissent cable right after Kabul fell.

“We got all kinds of cables, all kinds of advice,” Biden said on Aug. 20, 2021. “I made the decision. The buck stops with me.”

Blinken said in September 2021 that the cable expressed “real concerns” about the durability of the Afghan government forces after the U.S. left and called on the State Department to speed up the special immigrant visa process.

If Blinken is held in contempt of Congress, he would join the ranks of former Attorney General Eric Holder who refused to hand over records on the Justice Department’s handling of the Fast and Furious gun-running scandal in 2012 as well as Lois Lerner, who was held in contempt in 2014 for helping lead an IRS effort targeting conservative Tea Party groups and other similar nonprofit groups. The Justice Department declined to charge Holder and Lerner.

    Biden did this:

  11. LES MOONVES?

Is it possible that E. Jean Carroll is a serial litigator?
    _________________________________________

    Sexual assault allegations
    Les Moonves
See also: Les Moonves § Sexual assault allegations

Carroll was one of 13 women who accused CBS Corporation executive Les Moonves of sexual assault in 2019. She says the incident occurred in the late 1990s in a hotel elevator after interviewing Moonves for a story; he denied the allegation.[2]

    – Wiki

    1. No, E. Jean Carroll isn’t a serial litigator. She didn’t file suit against Moonves.

She did file suit against Donald Trump, sexual abuser, and she won her suit.

          1. LOL, is she a jew ? Do I need to check ?
            Good argument though.
I’ll check and get back to you. No, really , you may have helped me out. Fed the beast, so speak. Be proud of yourself.

          2. witness one “Birnbach was born to a Jewish family[4] on the Upper East Side of New York,[5] the daughter of Naomi (née Salit) and Maks Birnbach. ” Also a journalist, of the fake news
witness two “Carol Martin is an American journalist ”
            LOL
jews and journos – the perfectly lying combo

      1. Anonymous – you cannot say she “won her suit” if the jury disbelieved the charge of rape. In time, even her partial victory will probably be overturned.

        1. She demonstrated to her hysterical and incoherent friends that she has an enormous capacity for hysteria and incoherence.

If Real President Donald J. Trump had raped any woman I knew, I would have not stopped in a ceaseless effort to have him arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

That did not happen and that says it all about this frivolous case.

    2. LOL – She’s a looney tunes. Maybe just a political operative. Did she write about that in her novel too ?
The demoncrats are a sad joke, a clown party, a loony decrepit beastly burden, satan’s stronghold, blood sacrifice soul minions.
I can’t even believe what I see anymore. It must be horrifying for people once the nation goes full totalitarian. I can see it coming – not sure if they get there but it is obvious they are trying.

    3. Trump did the unpardonable and insulted a woman’s looks. Every insecure woman on that jury was itching to pop him for something. Welcome to New York where vendetta equals justice every time. The truth is that hitting a billionaire for 5 million for a horrific charge like sexual battery is like the jury in QBVII awarding Sir Adam Kelno a halfpenny for damage done to his reputation. Bring on the appeal.

      1. The jury was 6 men and 3 women.

Trump admitted to assaulting women in his Access Hollywood tape. E. Jean Carroll testified under oath about the assault, and two other women testified that she told them at the time of the assault. Other women testified about similar assaults by Trump. Trump refused to testify and then, like the coward he is, lied on Truth Social that he wasn’t allowed to defend himself.

He was convicted because he committed assault and defamed E. Jean Carroll. He will lose his appeal just like he lost this district case.

        1. Anonymous:

No, Trump did nothing of the kind. He bragged to a guy, he thought in private, about groupies allowing him to touch them. Every musician you hear on the radio can have the same conversation. Where are the pitchfork mobs howling for the Rolling Stones?

Trump was not convicted of any crime. A NY jury found him liable in a civil suit, but expressly did not find that Carroll proved Trump raped her. It is very difficult to either prove a crime happened decades ago, or defend your innocence. How can you prove you did not rape someone years ago, based only on that person’s word? The entire case is based on Carroll’s word. Her two friends, called as witnesses, testified only that Carroll told them about the alleged incident. All 3 of the women are on record as rabidly anti-Trump.

You can’t prove a negative. You can’t prove, for example, that you did not say the N word to someone the other day, without any video of the encounter. Trump has been photographed with thousands of people. He has no idea who 99.9999% of them are.

One should recall the numerous claims against Kavanaugh that were disproven, including the infamous Rape Train and Solo Cups story. That, too, was one woman’s word against a man, with no evidence whatsoever. If Kavanaugh hadn’t been able to pull his diaries out from that year, proving his whereabouts, then the vicious slander could have sunk him.

I would also note that if a woman really is sexually assaulted, then she needs to file a police report, immediately, while there is evidence. We often hear women come forward with stories decades later, including Juanita Broaddrick. While Broaddrick did have independent eyewitnesses who observed her injuries, rather than just relying on people who claim she told them about Clinton’s assault, she still did not file a police report. That turns into a he said, she said case, which is impossible to either prove or defend against.

With all the false allegations against Trump, it’s the boy who cried wolf. Most of us are jaded at this point with the blatant, Machiavellian attempts to sink him at all costs.

          1. “How can you prove you did not rape someone years ago, based only on that person’s word?”

By testifying. The jury makes a judgment about whose word is more reliable. Trump refused to testify.

            “You can’t prove a negative.”

Sure you can. People do it every day. “There is no milk in the refrigerator” — you look everywhere in the refrigerator and show that there is no milk in it. “There is no largest prime number” — the proof of this is one of the first things math students prove when studying primes (let me know if you want me to produce the proof). “There is no centenarian serving in Congress” — check the ages of everyone in Congress. Etc. You can’t prove ALL negatives, but you also cannot prove ALL positives. You can prove many negatives, just like you can prove many positives. I suggest that you never again make that particular false claim.

Trump could have proved it by testifying. But he was too cowardly to testify in front of the jury, and then on Truth Social he lied and claimed that the judge wouldn’t let him defend himself. He lies a lot.

“He bragged to a guy, he thought in private, about groupies allowing him to touch them.”

He said nothing about “groupies.” He claimed that women “let” you grab their genitals when you’re a star, not that he sought permission and they agreed to it. What would we have found out if we’d interviewed women who he claimed “let” him? We’d have found that in many cases, they didn’t. Just like the two other women who testified under oath that he’d groped them without their consent. He’s a serial sexual abuser, and you can’t bring yourself to admit it.

            1. “By testifying.”

You are ignorant of the law, but that is not news to anyone. Carrol must prove guilt. She can’t

              “he was too cowardly”

You are ignorant of the law. Cowardice has nothing to do with Carrol proving her case.

              “He bragged “

You are ignorant of the law. Bragging about something else has nothing to do with this case.

Everything you said is pure ignorance of the law. Carrol had no case. She didn’t have the details, the year or month, evidence or anything else. You are creating cases by using people who are mentally ill. You are ignorant of the law.

How can anyone trust you when they see this type of garbage. That is why you stay anonymous. You want to blame others for your stupidity.

            2. Anonymous, you say: “Trump could have proved it by testifying.” Now you are kidding. He could have sworn on the proverbial stack of bibles, he could let himself be injected with truth serum, he could beaten his chest and pulled his hair out, he could have rent the courtroom with pleas, oaths, and screams – – nothing would have made any difference. After seven years of demonization of Trump in every part of NYC, he was guilty when the lawsuit started. He has about as much chance before a NYC jury as Louis XVI had before the National Assembly. In that case, I believe the gulilty verdict was prepared before the trial even started. The whole point of the Left’s constant demonization of Trump is to prevent him from communicating to, and being listened to, by ordinary Americans.

              1. I take it that you didn’t attend to the voir dire of the jury members. The members were anonymous, but the voir dire was public.

                1. This is a brain exercise.
Prove their was no milk in the refrigorator yesterday. Lay out your process.

I’m still waiting for you to prove I don’t have a lion in my car.

                  1. What part of “You can’t prove ALL negatives, but you also cannot prove ALL positives. You can prove many negatives, just like you can prove many positives” do you not understand?

Bring your car to me, and we’ll see whether you have a lion in it or not. Also clarify whether you’re talking about a live lion or something else, like a toy lion or paper lion.

                    1. “You set your parameters”

Yes, my parameters were very explicitly “You can’t prove ALL negatives, but you also cannot prove ALL positives. You can prove many negatives, just like you can prove many positives.”

What part of that do you not understand? I’ll work within those parameters.

“If you cant prove a positive, its a guess.”

                      Or it could be false.

        2. “He will lose his appeal just like he lost this district case.”
          ******************************
Oh the Clinton judge Lewis Kaplan* did issue every ruling against him such as the dubious refusal to substitute the government under the Federal Tort Claims Act after Barr certified that Trump was acting as a government employee at the time of the alleged tort. That’ll get some traction on appeal.

On a more pressing issue, do you do parties with that Swami act?

*Revelatory Aside: I remember Lewis Kaplan when he was trying to convince us all that the Tobacco Institute was just shy of the Mayo Clinic in scientific credibility while he was representing Big Tobacco and Phillip MOrris while biding his time at the Paul Weiss lawfactory. And wasn’t it a lucky break that Carroll’s lawyer in this case, Roberta Kaplan, just happened to be a partner at the Paul, Weiss law firm where — guess who? — was also a partner? Yep, the Honorable Lewis Kaplan! Nothing strange there. Maybe the next case for the Paul Weiss team is incest?

          1. You clearly weren’t paying attention. Trump defamed her AGAIN after he left office.

              1. Yes, it’s quite explicit in the suit, “Three years after the June 2019 defamatory statements, Trump—at this point, no longer President—once again made false and insulting claims about Carroll. More specifically, on October 12, 2022, Trump posted the following: …”
                https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/65895581/1/carroll-v-trump/

Even with your inattentiveness, you should recognize that he was no longer in office on 10/12/2022.

                1. Reading the testimony makes me realize what type of nut she is. You accept everything she says as fact, though it took a Presidential election to make her recount this story publicly.

I knew you were a fool before. Thanks for the confirmation. And thanks for telling the blog that nothing you say has meaning.

                2. The Complaint itself says Trump reinterated what he said while President, thus FTCA applies. It’s that simple but of course Kaplan needed to avoid FTCA and the SOL so she included opinion statements from 2022 which are not actionable. Only statments of false facts form the basis of defamation not commentary on th efficacy of the claim. We’ll see if the appellate courts agree with your points but until then stick to blog commentary.

            1. If the jury found that Trump did not rape her, as she had repeatedly claimed, did it not impliclty find that she had defamed Trump?

              1. LOL. The jury called their main witness a liar in the for the main witness verdict.
                It’s kookytown, as usual.
Oh, and the defamation thing, uh no, victim’s gambit erects immunity, was told by a demoncrat for a friend.

                1. ATS will believe almost anything and then make crazy arguments to prove his case. ATS, why do you continuously damage your credibility?

  12. Woke wins, people die, rushing into one popular political agenda after another in Biden’s America. Democrats do not value life.

Cook County prosecutor quits after 20 years: ‘this State and County have set themselves on a course to disaster’

Bond reform designed to make sure no one stays in jail while their cases are pending with no safety net to handle more criminals on the streets, shorter parole periods, lower sentences for repeat offenders, the malicious and unnecessary prosecution of law enforcement officers, overuse of diversion programs, intentionally not pursuing prosecutions for crimes lawfully on the books after being passed by our legislature and signed by a governor, all of these so-called reforms have had a direct negative impact, with consequences that will last for a generation.

…But this Office’s complete failure to even think for a moment before rushing into one popular political agenda after another has put my family directly in harm’s way.

  13. Hold Blinken immediately in contempt.
Do not waste time. Play hardball.
Watch what corrupt AG Garland does with the referrals against Biden officials.

Blinken must be pressured to resign.
It is the honorable thing to do.
But since Blinken is not honorable, and will not resign, he must be impeached and removed.

    1. Sure,
But you need to follow the rule of law and give him a chance to comply.
      Didn’t Blinken perjure himself too?

      1. If he does not comply, immediately charge him with contempt of Congress.
Send another criminal referral to DOJ for Blinken’s perjury.
Track AG Garland’s selective prosecutions. Bannon, yes. Blinken, no.
Build the case, track the evidence.
Then impeach and remove AG Garland.

        1. Republicans do not have the power to do so. Not enough of the vote in either congressional body.
They can’t do anything we know of.
They suck at pressure, right ? McCarthy had to have 20 reps that do not suck at pressure ream him for days publicly so we could get a tiny bit of good reform.
          20 R’s is not enough.

  14. NEWSFLASH – BIG SURPRISE

“VENUE CORRUPTION” Supported by the DNC, DOJ, Supreme Court et al.

DNC (i.e. Manhattan jury) “finds” Real President Donald J. Trump liable for “sexually abusing and forcibly touching” a “Feminazi” in a totally corrupt New York venue.

No evidence is produced in the case.

Police did not charge and courts did not convict Real President Donald J. Trump for any related “crime.”

    Biden 76% vs. Trump 23%

    Hillary 79% vs. Trump 18%.

2020 election results demonstrate extreme “Venue Corruption.”
    __________________________________________________

Overall in New York City, Biden received 2,321,759 votes, 76%, to Trump’s 691,682 votes, or 23%; a margin of 1,630,077. In 2016, Hillary Clinton 79% won of the vote to Trump’s 18%.

    Big surprise.

Appeal to be held in Boise, Idaho, after change of venue by impartial judge (Sarc, for those of you in Rio Linda).

    1. It appears to me the demoncrats are a revenge based party now. Not that they aren’t near all constant liars at the government level, which they are, but they needed revenge for slick willies monica dilemma at the time.
Apparently the whacko liar wrote a novel. I’d say it was feminine sex fantasy. She was properly ravaged. LOL
      In 1996. HAHAHAHAHAAAAA
“Nov 1, 1996 — Jones’s claims against President Clinton are far stronger than the media has let on– and far stronger than Anita Hill’s against Clarence Thomas.”
I see what the demoncrats are doing.
      It’s a national shame.

    2. Everyone knew the outcome in NYC.

So yes its going to be appealed. Its a way to harass Trump and if he gets the nomination, its a way to change the topic and hammer him.

Sorry to say Trump carries a lot of baggage. He’d be better off being a king maker than the king.
      -G

      1. As Carroll’s lawyer pointed out, it wasn’t even “he said, she said,” because Trump didn’t take the stand. Even Fox News is fact checking Trump’s lie that he wasn’t given an opportunity to defend himself.

He’s a sexual abuser, and he should be hammered for that. He’ll appeal, and he’ll lose on appeal.

        1. I don’t believe you, or it. Clinton’s accusers were believable, these goons are not.
A dressing room in a public store… you’ve really got be a moron to buy that rape accusation, I mean dumb as rock.
With Clinton we had multiple witnesses, even LEO’s that testified to the circumstances and set ups for slick willie.
I opposed the lewinsky attacks and the 4 hour grand jury attack against clinton at the time. I still do, and I oppose the meaning of is attack, since lawyers and politicians and public spewers constantly use word smithing to give false impressions and even legal attacks.
Clinton committed huge national security and election and money fraud crimes, his sexcapades were the least of our worries. But that’s how retarded America rolls. Corrupt as all get out, but focuses on personal foibles or outright fraudulent claims – when gigantic crimes stare us in the face and the party apparatus ignores and redirects.

          1. Trump’s a real defendant who lost the case and was too cowardly to testify in front of the jurors.

        2. “As Carroll’s lawyer pointed out, it wasn’t even “he said, she said,” because Trump didn’t take the stand.”

Carrol had to prove her case and she didn’t despite a prejudiced jury’s verdict. You are an authoritarian so innocent until proven guilty means little to you.

In the mean time everything is falling down around Biden, the economy, international affairs, sex scandals, etc. so the media is pushing meaningless 30 year old allegations that shouldn’t hold any water.

  15. We are in trouble. We have Wynken, (Kamala) Blynken ,(Secretary of State) and Nod Off (Joe Biden) running the country. Heaven help us all.

    1. Think it through: Some believe, that John Brennan, James Clapper and James Comey influenced ’16 presidential election in creating the plot that Donald Trump was a tool of the Russians and a puppet of President Vladimir Putin. Could they realy do this by their own? Or did they have an approvial stamp from someone else?

Maybe those we think they “running the country” have some puppet masters behind the curtain they direct their moves?

If you have time search for marionette performances near you, it’s fun to watch!

      1. Years of total lies at the national level affected 2020, no doubt about it. Time magazine bragged about it.
Only demoncrats or morons, liars for sure, claim 2020 or 2022 wasn’t stolen.
The cowardice is everywhere. The courtrooms are a joke. There is never a reason to believe a single court case ever again. One has to now go down to the nitty gritty details and shameful destruction of the methodologies present to come to any conclusion.
The entire system is now a clown show. It is filled with corruption, lack of “standing”, deny exculpatory evidence, creating false evidence, and people entirely willing to convict or acquit based upon their emotional state, or their interpretation of the defendants body language in court, or the skewed and twisted instructions the corrupt idiot judges push forward.
Most of the populace blindly fell in line, with real threats beckoning at their doors, over the covid lies and false narratives and constant ridiculous changes, the fear mongering, the banning, the government fingers in everything, directing and controlling…. some nations had it worse than we in the USA, which is saying an awful lot.
Who can have any sort of reliance in the current government condition overall after the year of mostly peaceful down town city sackings by the demoncrat cults ?
“Everyone stay home except our demoncrat brownshirts sacking the city the centers or you might catch covid, but demoncrat mobs, go for it – the government officials screamed….”
I saw very small cities boarded up, every store in their down town areas covered with plywood… it really was amazing.
We’ve had so many marionette performances in the past few years, one thing I know is the strings reach right down to the street level, while the money shoots upwards.

        1. A recent poll has 47% of independents saying they would have voted differently but for the claim that the Hunter Biden laptop was russian disinformation.

And the poll of democrats indicates that 17% would have voted differently.

While I beleive those numbers are artificially high.

Even a 0.5% shift would have resulted in a Trump landslide.

  16. Since the Andrew Jackson administration, the US government has added $31 trillion in debt. What exactly do we have to show for it? Are we more secure in our rights? Is our national border secure? Are we energy independent? Are our children the best educated in the world? Is our infrastructure sound and protected from foreign adversaries? Is our military ready to defend our national security interests? Are we as a nation self-reliant regarding the supply chain? If not, do we have a reliable supply chain from trusted foreign entities? Is our government held accountable to the people, to the rule of law? Is our nation united in a common identity, vision? After spending $31 trillion more than we had, with 3/4 of that since 2004, we are left arguing day in and day out whether the government cartel owes the American people anything. Bezmenov was absolutely right!

    1. The debt at issue has been incurred–based on legislation passed before now–not future legislation. It is for military pay, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and all of the other federal budget items that we have already committed to. We owe this money. When the fat one was stinking up our White House, Republicans extended the debt ceiling without a whimper, no posturing for budget cuts. They are playing games with our “full faith and credit” because they are a-holes who abuse power, which is why the majority of Americans will not vote Republican, and have not been voting Republican for some time now. But for gerrymandering, the Republican Party would be in the minority, which is a fair representation of where the belong..

      1. We owe this money.

The question(s) weren’t about how much we owe, why we owe it, or who authorized the spending. The questions(s) were specifically about what do we have to show for it. One would think that for $31T in debt on top of what we already spent, we’d all be living the vision of freely pursuing happiness, equal in our security of rights. That is after all the point of this grand experiment. So in the last 40 years with the national debt exploding, what do we have to show for it? Well, we bought ourselves a massive federal bureaucracy that is out of control and hostile to the very vision this country was founded on.

      2. They said Trump would start WW3.
        Biden is doing that

They said Trump would persecute his political enemies.
        Biden is doing that

They said Trump would be the laughingstock of the world.
        Biden is doing that

They said Trump wasn’t mentally fit.
        Biden is doing that

They said Trump would ruin our retirements and send inflation through the roof.
        Biden is doing that

They said we wouldn’t be able to afford gas and groceries under Trump.
        Biden is doing that

They lied. Now we’re all suffering for it.

        @Travis_in_Flint

  17. Is this a joke?

The entirety of the “dictatorship of the proletariat” must be impeached and convicted with extreme prejudice.
