Protesting Mom Called “More Disgusting Than Any Of These Filths Down On Wall Street”

I saw this amazing clip this weekend from FOX where the anchors attacked a women because she left her kids with family and friends to participate in the Occupy Wall Street protests.

The mother, Stacey Hessler of Florida, was saying that she felt this was a historic moment for citizens to take to the streets. It is funny how such commitment is inspiring in those who share your views, but disgusting for those who do not.

The New York Post has a decidedly negative profile of her, though it seems short on independent sources. What is striking about the Fox report is the view that any mother who leaves her children to join such a protest is “filth.”

  8. There is some history behind the church’s decision to support the protesters, bdaman. In 1891, Pope Leo XIII issued an encyclical on capital and labor, Rerum Novarum, which supports the workers. Although I am an “idiot”, I remember what I learned in catholic grade school.

    Good Job SWM don’t take the personal attacks personal. You’ve seen it before. I was trying to make the point that most here are anti catholic. Will you embrace the Vatican now that they support the OWS is the question.

    Oh yea, vagina-boy strikes again. That is a lie- flat out. Go back to the postings and you offered a statement that the protester had no family support etc. SM posted a link (that I had also bookmarked to post) that indicated otherwise. You responded by quoting from that link, stating that it was not direct testimony from a family member and went on to call SM an idiot.

You have been trying to with your increasing demands that someone, anyone stated that they would condemn a man for going off somewhere for a couple of weeks because he wanted to but nobody would play your game. You think you can use Hugh to get to your personal agenda into play.

    Your previous statement regarding SM and this one is of a kind. It is obvious that you dislike her intensely and frankly, when you just can’t restrain yourself from attacking her, your use of the word vagina in sentences specific to her is creepy.
