Adrian Acevedo-Hernandez, 36, Jose Luis Montufar-Canales, 31, Jose Manuel Ortega-Torres, 30, and J. Nemias Reyes Marin, 31, are in need of some “friends” after their Facebook postings led to their arrest. The men were shown on pictures with an assortment of dead animals. One picture from Hiko, Nevada below shows Ortega-Torres carrying off a mule deer in Nevada but game officials were struck by the background of the picture that was clearly not in the hunting season. That prompted a 16-month state and federal probe that finally led to the arrest of the men who are described as carrying out “a systematic killing, illegal killing, of wildlife.” Authorities believe that Acevedo-Hernandez, Montufar-Canales and Marin are illegal immigrants.
This picture was the tip that started the investigation, though the officials did not know the names of the hunters. When they finally identified Ortega-Torres and searched his home, they found illegally killed deer and migratory birds as well as butchering tools and weapons. The evidence incriminated other men in Las Vegas: Acevedo-Hernandez, Montufar-Canales, and J. Nemias Reyes Marin, 31 as part of the ring. They also found evidence of fraudulently obtained hunting licenses and tags.
The migratory birds exposes the men to federal charges. In addition, if the three men are illegal immigrants, they also violated federal laws prohibiting illegal immigrants from possessing firearms.

If one breaks the law one should be arrested and prosecuted whether you are an “illegal” immigrant or a banker. It is time for equality under the law for all.

As a forcibly retired airline captain, I can say yes the Bus is that bad. I had a chance to go to JetBlue when it first started up, but I refused since they were flying the Airbus only and they did not pay much more than I was getting at my airline. The Air France crew was also very deficient and the captain did not take command as his aircraft was plummeting into the South Atlantic. He just stood by and let it crash. I hate any aircraft that thinks it is smarter than the captain and prohibits certain things for the crew to do. Cross controlling the ailerons and rudder is verboten, so X wind landings are unique too. You cannot exceed certain angle of banks, pitch, etc..
As Capt. Sullenberger pointed out, having fly by wire on side stick controllers contributed to the Air France crash, because the captain and other crew members could not SEE by the control stick position on the other non-flying side that the F/O was holding the plane in a full stall. If its Boeing, I’m going.

BUT….he also was educated at Harvard. Both are true. Why try to hide one?

There are three ways to deport humans who do not belong here. One is by land, two is by sea and third is by Air France. Fly them over their home country at 20,000 feet and kick them out of the plane with their dead animals.
BD If you fly them on Air France and an Airbus, you will not need to kick them out. The plane will simply be too much for the crew to handle, and it will fall out of the sky on its own.

Dusty, I saw that he went to MIT for his undergrad work, and now works there after getting his PhD at Harvard. I think most folks would consider him to be an MIT guy and I’m sure he will be attending his MIT class reunion rather than his grad school reunion.
Of course, his underestimation of the US electorate is what the GOP counted on and won on. They only underestimated a whole war of choice by 3 TRILLION dollars and hundreds of thousands deaths. Which do you think is worse? Using the standard political ploys to get health care for more people, including my family, or a whole war which cost a contributor to this site his son’s life? I think I can guess the GOP priority which considers others lives expendable, and money not so much.

Gradually, and not so gradually, Americans are coming to the realization that there is no equal treatment under the laws. Overreaching of selective enforcement and suppression of groups for political purposes by misuse of the laws by our own government. We can only come to the conclusion that laws are only to be obeyed IF you feel like it. Everyone should get away with whatever they can. Self interest instead of community interest. Be PREPARED. Survival of the fittest.

Anyone that legally hunts in this country pays fees, taxes and often times land access lease/own costs that have increased exponentially over time. This is exactly why the push back on “illegals” is so great across this country. As our Haaaavaaaad friend Jonathan Gruber has been so kind to express…we are treated like we are stupid. We are not. We are trusting…and that trust has been broken. Those that conduct themselves with so little regard for “trust” are the stupid ones.
