I have previously written about my dismay over verbal and even physical attacks on politicians, particularly conservatives, in restaurants. Liberal couples and activists believe that they have license to scream and disrupt meals of those with whom they disagree politically. The latest such abuse occurred when Sen. Rand Paul was trying to have lunch at a California restaurant with his staff when a couple began to shout profanities at them.
The woman is shown screaming “You just ran into two people from New York, kiddo, and we’re not putting up with your Republican bullshit.” Of course, Paul was simply have a meal but the couple believed that they had the right to verbally abuse him because they do not share his politics.
I have written for years about the declining recognition of basic values like civility in dealing with people with whom we disagree. This is another such example. These people believe that they have the right to scream at people in public because they hold opposing views. So this is the society that we want as adults? Conservatives will now yell at liberal politicians at restaurants and we can live in a society where everyone believes that they have a right to stalk and abuse others during meals or shows or any public activities.
Many have rightfully asked if Trump’s abusive rhetoric is a good example for children and society. The same is true with this video. I teach my kids to respect others and not to spew profanities at people because you disagree with their political views — whether inside or outside New York City.
It keeps happening because these crazies are not arrested or face penalties. They will get a surprise if trying this crap on my family and I. If police fail to arrest them for assults like they spit into Eric Trumps food then the only other solution is physical confrontation

This is a failure of the restaurant management for not taking out the garbage when it presents itself. I’m this case, New York trash. I consider this kind of conduct to be always boorish and sometimes assaultive if loud enough. At that latter point, the water in my glass is in defensive mode and likely to take flight. If that doesn’t foil the fool, it might “get physical” as Olivia Newton John might say. It wouldn’t be my first time.

People like these “two people from New York kiddo” are cowards. They rant because they know they will not suffer any consequences. Add an element of uncertainty to the scenario and the conduct will abate. Here is the solution: Paul needs to start traveling with a bodyguard, but not just any bodyguard. The bodyguard should be a petite female trained in martial arts, someone that nobody will think is capable of physical combat. Her presence, alone, will not deter any obnoxious behavior. The bully will not be deterred by the presence of a small woman. That is the best part. So, the bully starts his or her act, verbally at first. The bodyguard will respond in kind. Eventually, the bully will go over the line (they always do) and make physical contact. The bodyguard will respond appropriately, by crippling the finger thrust in her face, by breaking the bully’s nose, by taking out a knee etc. All of this will go viral. The bully is not only injured but is embarrassed because he is taken out by a woman, and a small one at that. The embarrassment is worldwide. Paul can then further embarrass the bully by showing the video at rallies, on his website, etc. The next bully will not be so confident that his bullying will escape punishment.
If I sit at a table in a restaurant, take a pistol out of my jacket and place it next to the salad fork, would that be considered brandishing? (I live in a constitutional carry state.)

Though this has never happened to me personally, I believe my strategy would be to simply ignore them as if they did not exist. If and when they touched me, though, watch out. The fur will fly then.

Actually, you are right for once! It is a mindset, and one that has been here forever and will continue to exist. It is instructive to see if there are any common elements between earlier historical examples, and the two Democrats above.
I submit that a good precursor is indoctrination to the idea that one’s belief system is morally and intellectually superior to the others, and that the others are a threat. For example, the Catholics taught that the Cathars were wrong and needed to be wiped out. The Cathars believed that the God of the Old Testament was Satan, and that the God of the New Testament was the “Good God.” In short, two god principles against the alleged monotheism of the Catholic Church. Of course, the Cathars were pretty much wiped out, since you could not just allow heretics to run loose. Those on the Catholic side had been indoctrinated in those beliefs, and taught that they were smart and right and the other side was a threat to peace and good order.
Same with about half of the Democratic base today. They have been subjected to 60 years or so of indoctrination by the Main Stream Media that they are right, and good, and moral, and smarterer, and Republicans are a threat to peace and good order, and have simply placed their FAITH in all that stuff. Which, for an example, is why they will tell you in public that someone with a beard and a penis can be a woman. And, which is why so many Democrats are unable to articulate intelligent responses in debates with Republican/Conservatives. They did not choose to be Democrats, they just were because their parents were, or that is what they identify as what everybody else says is the smart and good and moral side.
I would wager that the two loony toons above would be incapable of participating in a reasonable discussion with people who did not believe like them. They are Democrats for the same reason some people are Christians, or some people support their local pro football team. What they are doing is no different than spontaneously standing up and cheering when your side scores a touchdown, or booing when the other side walks by your seat in the bleachers.

Are you nuts or just act dumb? Republicans have been silent for years the kinder way or the 1000 points of light. Not until Trump has a republican started to fight back! Bush’s bent over backwards to work with DIMMS and got spit in face, called racist, called for impeachment! Mccain got the racist treatment and Romney tucked tail last 30 days of election and LOST! Republicans decided to take the Christian path & leave it to GOD for building a constructive life. The ones you refer to are the crazy compound loons that do NOT know living by faith or loving their country, family or themselves! Can you name one republican president in your lifetime that was not called a racist, war monger, womanizer and must be impeached? Be honest and do NOT attach the compound crazies with the consertative/republican way of life!

Barack Obama used his bully pulpit to attack Fox News, Republicans, Rush Limbaugh, conservatives, Christians, etc. He used the IRS to attack conservatives. Obama whined and complained and railed against Fox News for the slightest sting of bad press that he got. The man was not only thin-skinned, he was mendacious and vindictive. He stirred up racial violence.
Anyone notice there hasn’t been violent rioting and destruction in our streets since Obama left office? There’s a reason for that.
When I worked patrol, a restaurant in the county took an occasionally used section (I believe it was used for banquets and meetings) and closed it off for the public, making it only available to law enforcement officers. It was nice to be able to get together for lunch and not be disturbed, or at the very least not have to deal with the public for half-an-hour.
On another note, a state trooper I know who worked the WTO Riots in Seattle, told me of how out in the streets many of the protesters were shouting at the police and government all day, yet both sides ate at a particular restaurant downtown and there was no animosity or drama between the two. It was as if they were on their lunch break from their jobs. After they ate, it was back to work and the disruption continued. It was just like the old Ralph Wolf and Sam Sheepdog cartoons.
Maybe the paid protestors got an hour off for lunch???

This is what happens when we have a “resistance” to the democratic process. Is there incivility from the right? Certainly but nothing like this.
This sort of deranged thinking is probably more responsible for the mass shootings we have seen of late than anything else. Anger and hate beget hateful conduct.
Like I have also said before, many Democrats and Leftists are simply would too tightly, and are basically just mentally ill. Here, for the mentally ill woman, simply “being from New York” provides her the justification to curse in public, engage in disorderly conduct, and berate people who are simply there to have a meal. Neither she, nor her husband have a functioning sense of of time and place not even a simple respect for the rights of other. Some of this is based in a supposed moral superiority,or intellectual superiority. This is also religious in nature, and you can see why some Catholics thought it OK to burn people alive for doctrinal differences. That mindset did not die back centuries ago. Intermittent explosive disorder or IED is a clinical condition of experiencing recurrent aggressive episodes that are out of proportion of any given stressor. Earlier studies reported a prevalence rate between 1–2% in a clinical setting, however a study done by Coccaro and colleagues in 2004 had reported about 11.1% lifetime prevalence and 3.2% one month prevalence in a sample of a moderate number of individuals (n=253). Based on the study, Coccaro and colleagues estimated the prevalence of IED in 1.4 million individuals in the US and 10 million with lifetime IED.[4]
Dysfunction of the striatum may prove to be the link between OCD, ICD and SUD. According to research, the ‘impulsiveness’ that occurs in the later stages of OCD is caused by progressive dysfunction of the ventral striatal circuit. Cognitive Relaxation and Coping Skills Therapy (CRCST), which consists of 12 sessions starting first with the relaxation training followed by cognitive restructuring, then exposure therapy is taken. Fluoxetine has also been evaluated in treating IED and demonstrated significant improvement in reducing frequency and severity of impulsive aggression and irritability in a sample of 100 subjects who were randomized into a 14-week, double-blind study. Despite a large decrease in impulsive aggression behavior from baseline, only 44% of fluoxetine responders and 29% of all fluoxetine subjects were considered to be in full remission at the end of the study.[15]

How about there is more of this because Democratic Party leaders refuse to call it out and condemn it. For example, Antifa and the TDS mobs at Trump rallies in cities/states run by Democrats.
Notice, Anrifa and TDS mobs did not show up in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Because, the South Louisiana Cajun Rednecks would have beat the crap out of them if attacked. Same in Dallas.

It’s not simple “population growth,” the American fertility rate is in a “death spiral” (Europe, Canada, Australia, New Zealand also). American women want to become men and have abandoned their natural role of procreation sufficient to grow and defend the nation. The “population” of America is being imported consisting of foreign hyphenate invaders (human Trojan horse) as the direct and mortal enemies of Americans and America. “The Squad,” Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib and Ayanna Pressley scream “death to America.” America’s women have effected national suicide; in 100 years, there won’t be an American left in America. Thank God for Rand Paul that this time it wasn’t the physical assault, resulting in multiple lingering injuries, that he sustained a few years ago from his Democrat neighbor.
