The media blackout on Hunter Biden’s laptop remains in force this week despite a major new development with the release of a videotape that purportedly shows Biden claiming that one of his laptops was stolen by Russians for blackmail purposes. He allegedly recorded the statement after filming having sex with an alleged prostitute in a Las Vegas hotel. This is major news from any standpoint. Either the President’s son admitted that Russians have blackmail material on him or the media (or others) have created a fake videotape and falsely framed Biden. One would expect, if it is the latter, that the Biden team will be announcing a lawsuit today. However, like the coverage in most major news outlets, there are only the familiar sound of crickets.
On the videotape, Biden is reportedly shown having sex with a woman identified as a prostitute in the coverage. In the midst of this sordid scene, Biden describes how he went on a Vegas bender with Russians — “going round from penthouse suite to penthouse suite.” He stresses that the penthouses cost $10,000 a night.
The videotape has Biden describing how he passed out in a hot tub “hangs over the edge of the f***ing top floor, with glass, it’s ridiculous.” He then says
“I wake up and the only people that are there are Miguel, the guy frantically running round gathering things up, ok – and Miguel, and Pierce, this guy, his friend.
They had kicked everybody out. And they had cleaned up the entire place, everything ok? And they were getting ready to leave, and I woke up. And there was this Russian 35-year-old, really nice, pure brunette.
She refused to leave and they wouldn’t call an ambulance. And they didn’t know whether I was dead or not, at first.”
He then states that the Russian took the laptop filled with compromising photos and material:
“I think he’s the one that stole my computer. I think the three of them, the three guys that were like a little group. The dealer and his two guys, I took them everywhere. F***ing everywhere, crazy out of your mind sh**…
They have videos of me doing this,’ he said, referring to the filmed sex he just finished. ‘They have videos of me doing crazy f***ing sex f***ing, you know…
They have videos of me doing this. . .They have videos of me doing crazy f***ing sex f***ing, you know.
My computer, I had taken tons of like, just left like that cam on. And he would always put in a passcode and all that, you know what I mean? It was f***ing crazy sh**. And somebody stole it during that period of time. He did all this kind of like pretend search and sh**.”
When the woman asks if Hunter Biden was worried the Russian alleged thieves would try to “blackmail” him, Hunter replies “Yeah in some way yeah.”
As usual, most Americans have not seen the story which is running largely on foreign media. This is likely to result in yet another run of President Biden to the nearest ice cream store.
Before the election, the national media and social media companies imposed a virtual blackout on the Hunter Biden story. Even when Biden’s laptop emerged with highly embarrassing and incriminating emails, Democratic politicians and the media pushed a conspiracy theory that the emails might be Russian misinformation, even though the recipients of the emails confirmed their authenticity and American intelligence dismissed the theory. Worse yet, a key business associate of the Bidens, Anthony Bobulinski, confirmed the authenticity of the emails and accused Joe Biden of lying about his involvement. Bobulinski detailed meeting with Joe Biden in a hotel to go over the dealings.
Social media companies like Twitter responded by barring the original New York Post story before the election. The media (which exhaustively investigated any story involving the Trump children) simply ignored the growing evidence that Joe Biden lied repeatedly for months in claiming to have had no knowledge of his son’s business dealings. The media refused to investigate the story even after Hunter himself contradicted his father’s repeated denial.
Soon after Biden was safely elected, the media began to reluctantly acknowledge that the laptop might be authentic while avoiding the obvious questions about millions acquired from influence peddling or Joe Biden’s apparent lying to these reporters.
The laptop revealed that, while receiving millions from the Chinese and other foreign sources, Hunter was an utter mess. He admits that during this period he was a crack addict and alcoholic: “[d]rinking a quart of vodka a day by yourself in a room is absolutely, completely debilitating” as well as “smoking crack around the clock.”
The new emails contain additional information directly contradicting Joe Biden. In addition to earlier pictures from golf trips and references to his involvement or knowledge, the new material refers to an actual dinner arranged in Washington, D.C.
It would be easy to dismiss these stories as the record of a hopeless addict. However, Biden was receiving massive payments from dubious foreign figures from China to the Ukraine to Russia during these years. The claim was that they needed his guidance on issues like energy development and financial dealings. Yet, Hunter Biden says that he was a wreck dealing with drug and alcohol abuse. Biden admits that he was still a crack addict running into his father’s last presidential campaign and the photos from China show him passed out and doing drugs as well as sexual trysts with various women, including possible prostitutes. In this book, Hunter admitted that he was still a crack addict and alcoholic: “[d]rinking a quart of vodka a day by yourself in a room is absolutely, completely debilitating” as well as “smoking crack around the clock.” Why would these sources be forking over millions to a self-admitted hopeless addict other than buying access and influence with his father?
The irony is considerable in this latest disclosure since Hunter Biden is referring to losing a series of laptops on the laptop that he would later abandon at a computer repair shop.
Now you have the son of the president saying that he believes the Russians have blackmail material on him but the media continues to struggle to avoid the story. Imagine if a laptop contained videos of Donald Trump Jr. having sex with an alleged prostitute while talking about how Russians likely have blackmail material on him. The media would reach critical mass with wall-to-wall coverage. Yet, most major media outfits continue to minimize or ignore such stories.
If this videotape is real, it is a breathtaking admission that directly impacts the President of the United States in relations with a major hostile power. If it is fake, it is proof of a concerted conspiracy to frame Hunter Biden and spread misinformation. It is a major story either way, right? Not in the age of advocacy journalism.
Here is the transcript published on foreign news sites.
Unfortunately, those who follow only the mainstream media and big tech, have far too low an IQ to understand what is happening in this country.
I’ll take that challenge.
Show us how smart you are.
You go first.
I am an educated Democrat, undrafted Vietnam Vet, and loyal patriot.
I did not vote for our National Grope, Liar, Cheat, Braggart, Serial Adulterer, Sexual Predator and Poor Loser.
227….educated? your grammar and punctuation is worse than a first grader. You need to demand a refund on your education!
I noticed you did not refute my assertion of the National Grope, Liar, Cheat, Braggart, Serial Adulterer, Sexual Predator and Poor Loser.
You didn’t vote for Cuomo the Luv Gov?
@Anonymous. Your comment corrected: “Your grammar and punctuation are worse than a first grader.”
Are you talking about Biden, or the entire Democrat Party?
Silly adolescent comebacks do not change the issue.
What adolescent comeback are you talking about? Did you note your “adolescent” reply with capitalizations for emphasis? All those things you mentioned apply to Biden and the Democrat Party.
You say you are educated. Based on that particular comment you made, one has to wonder if it is true. You say you are a Vietnam Vet. If true, thank you for your service, but not your adolescent replies. I don’t care who you voted for as long as you voted only once per election.
I enlisted in ’65 and volunteered for the war in ’67, going over that year.
Having been in it, I turned against it loudly in mid-1968, and went into the hospital twice from vandalism by cowards.
Did you think killing folk who did nothing to us in their own country was a good idea?
“Did you think killing folk who did nothing to us in their own country was a good idea?”
Why would I want to send people to their graves? The LEFT was terrible during the Vietnam War. One could hate the war, but there was no need to spit on soldiers and start riots. The left even caused injury to their own if it looked good in the newspapers.
Once again, we had a policy decision, war vs. no war, where both sides had reasonable arguments. The problem in my mind is that the argument for the war made at the time wasn’t convincing. Additionally, if we send our children into battle, they should have the full support and do whatever is necessary to win the war quickly.
Since you have a military history, you probably know ofAir Force General Curtis LeMay in the Pacific theater, WW2. He was considered brutal, but his response was that there was a direct relationship between the number of American deaths and how long the war lasted. Therefore do whatever you have to do to end the war. (paraphrased, he used a lot fewer words.)
Even some of those who worked with him then, Robert McNamara for one, say they were War Criminals for burning so many Japanese civilians alive.
I agree.
No one wants to burn people alive, but one doesn’t want war either. There are good people on both sides of the argument, but the number of lives lost invading Japan on both sides IMO would have been horrendous. People slammed Truman for dropping the atomic bombs. Those bombs probably saved a huge number of Japanese (and American) lives.
The longer the war is fought, the greater the body count.
The decision is a mathematical one. Each side can present its own thoughts. The General of the Air Force before LeMay was Hanson (?sp). He was concerned with lives lost but our fighters were flying over Japan getting shot down, lost and running out of fuel, but not doing that much damage to the Japanese. The Japanese produced war materials from those cities burned. That is why Hanson was replaced by Le May.
The idea behind our armed forces is to win wars. The Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor (fortunately 2 of our Pacific carriers weren’t there and the ships destroyed were WW1 vintage.)
FYI I first responded to you as Anonymous (“Are you talking about Biden…”) Before that was another Anonymous. When the discussion had value I used my name. I thank you for your take on the issues under discussion along with your service.
I heartily agree with your take on the bomb. It saved millions of lives. An invasion would have cost immense casualties on both sides.
Thank you for the discussion.
I was a communications tech with Igloo White, the bugging of the trail and Khe Sanh. One day I heterodyned an aircraft VHF-101 and a signal generator to pick up the base station. Long story short, I listened to us, in real time, lose a nuclear submarine playing cat and mouse with the Russians. We then lied about it for years. I sent my experience to the Naval Historical Whatever at their request maybe 20 years ago.
Then, I got a half-hour of unlogged time in an Air America single-engine Otter used to run drugs. I came home to an America coming apart, watched as the government baited the students when I went back. I no longer take BS.
George, I Agree with not taking BS, which seems to fly everywhere. Differences of opinion are fine when reliable data backs up the opinion. However, we have to be careful to vet the information intelligently and adequately. Too many people do not understand the difference between fact and opinion. That makes things worse, especially when opinions suddenly convert into facts.
Thanks for your observations that occurred while flying. They are interesting.
S. Meyer “He [LeMay] was considered brutal, but his response was that there was a direct relationship between the number of American deaths and how long the war lasted.
***
Napoleon [correctly] said something similar about using cannon [a whiff of grapeshot] to stop a mob coming to attack the government. Sometimes fast and hard saved more lives.
Seldom mentioned is that when Commander Tibbetts visited Japan after the war an older Japanese man approached, shook his hand and said, “Thank you for saving my life.”
“Commander Tibbetts visited Japan after the war an older Japanese man approached, shook his hand and said, “Thank you for saving my life.”
Young, I think Le May’s first (or perhaps near the first) attack with napalm killed around 100,000+ which was more than either of the two atomic bombs. Considering LeMay was sending his forces out frequently those two bombs killed a lot less than Le May. Estimates of American deaths from an invasion of Japan entered the million mark and Japanese deaths, many millions.
S. Meyer– True. The burning of cities killed more than the atomic bombs and the Japanese didn’t blink. Even after the atomic bombings the military tried to grab the emperor and his surrender recording so they could fight on. Two atomic bombs and many were not ready to quit. Craig, “The Fall of Japan.”
In Nanking the Japanese murdered about as many civilians as were killed by atomic bombings though they did it with beheading contests, bayonets, burying alive and teams of soldiers raping women to death in rape chairs. Chang, “The Rape of Nanking”.
They had a nuclear program of their own but spent a lot of effort on biological warfare, experimenting on Chinese civilians, sometimes doing ‘autopsies’ on live people without anesthesia. They also distributed candy infected with diseases to Chinese children. Harris, “Factories of Death”.
But to some America is bad.
‘The same media who thought it newsworthy that Trump received a briefing on a fake dossier b/c of national security interests, has no curiousity whether Biden received a briefing on 2 real laptops containing compromising info on “the Big Guy” & blackmailable info on son.’ @ProfMJCleveland
So far there were 3 laptops.
Hunter took TWO laptops in for repair to the Delaware computer shop, and Hunter is now alleging that a 3rd laptop was stolen possibly by Russians.
For the clueless on the left – the story is NOT about Hunter.
It is about Joe. It is increasingly evident that Hunter Biden was not capable of even arranging the activities that produced the income that fueled his bachanal.
Russian oligarchs did not pay for Hunter Biden to have 24×7 drag addled drunken orgies. Nor is it likely that Hunter managed to get himself these “gigs”.
These oligarchs and plutocrats were buying Joe Biden not Hunter.
No one would buy Hunter.
I think political prejudice has warped the reality of those on the Hateful Right.
They are wrong about Climate Change.
They are wrong about Covid.
They are wrong about Democracy versus Predatory Capitalism.
Since Covid is on everyone’s mind why don’t you provide the important comparisons between the left and the right?
I’ll start. Trump said he will unleash the private sector to produce the vaccine in less than one year.
The left laughed.
Trump produced the vaccine in less than a year.
Trump wanted to close the border with China
The left called him xenophobic and racist
Trump was right.
Biden wants masking, governors consider school closures, social distancing and vaccine passports.
The right wants the border closed to keep Covid out.
The left packs Covid illegals with other illegals in close contact.
The right wants to end that
The left flies and buses Covid illegals all over the country while wanting citizens to carry vaccine passports.
The left wants forced vaccinations.
The left says vaccines stop the transmission of the virus and therefore stops mutations.
The right says masks should be voluntary since vaccinated persons are safe with the leftist logic.
The left doesn’t know what it is doing. The right does.
Now you can follow suit and we can debate the individual points.
By the way, george 227 is a remake of another identity.
SM
Like son, like Father.
The MSM and Big Tech acquiesce to and facilitate the Biden gang corruption of the United States government.
Trump upset the tables of the revolving door bureaucratic industrial complex. They fabricated crimes for the Trump team and cover up crimes of the Biden, Clinton, Obama, etc., teams.
I know that those who voted for Biden (there were a few, right?) didn’t vote for stuff like this.
But they are surely beginning to find out that, in fact, they actually DID vote for this – lots and lots and lots of this.
God help us.
Fox is NOT a news program it is an opinion show
What part of the MSM is actual news today ? None!
Aside from the Biden family greed, crimes and corruption, we have President Biden’s utter incompetence on every major issue: Afghanistan, Covid, the border, the economy, inflation.
Biden admin is begging OPEC for more oil and begging the Taliban to not attack our diplomats as we flee the country. What a mess.
The media are protecting Biden, his disastrous policies, his incompetent administration, and his corrupt family like they are running his PR shop. It’s insane how corrupt the media have become.
Not only that, but Pres. Biden left DC yesterday for yet another long weekend in Delaware and Camp David without taking any questions on Afghanistan. And the media is just ‘ho hum, enjoy your long weekend, sir.’
We don’t have to imagine what the media would be doing if this were happening under Trump.
We don’t have to imagine what the media would be doing if Don Jr. was the naked drug addict son of a sitting US president was on video, in a hotel room doing drugs with a hooker. The media would be going insane about now. Congress would be investigating!
Instead from the media we get silence, embarrassment, and circling the wagons of protection.
Fake News Propaganda Press *is* the enemy of the people.
Really? Let’s take a wager on who will be indicted first, Trump or Biden.
If we had a true justice system that prosecuted actual crimes and corruption, there would be indictments for Hunter Biden, James Biden and Joe Biden would be impeached.
Yeah, . . sure, . .
Yes and, James Comey would be in prison, Andrew McCabe would be in prison. That FBI lawyer who FABRICATED EVIDENCE would be in jail and lose his law license. ETC.
Great comeback, way to elevate the conversation.
How many times did you scream “BENGHAZI!!”?
But but but…Fox News!!! Blaahhhh!
Of course Biden will not be indicted – Merritt Garland is too busy siccing the FBI on anyone who wants limited government as a domestic terrorist to give a damn about actual criminal corruption.
It is self evident that with political power Democrats abuse it.
H311 you idiots actually impeached Trump for asking to have this investigated ?
Talk about incredible hypocracy and corruption ?
Who is going to actually investigate and prosecute the Bidens when the president of the united states was impeached for asking for an investigation into clear corruption ?
ASIA FOR THE ASIANS, AFRICA FOR THE AFRICANS, WHITE COUNTRIES FOR EVERYONE!
Everybody says there is this RACE problem. Everybody says this RACE problem will be solved when the third world floods into EVERY white country and ONLY into white countries.
The Netherlands and Belgium are just as crowded as Japan or Taiwan, but nobody says Japan or Taiwan will solve this RACE problem by bringing in millions of third worlders and quote assimilating unquote with them.
Everybody says the ultimate solution to this RACE problem is for EVERY white country and ONLY white countries to “assimilate,” i.e., intermarry, with all those non-whites.
What if I said there was this RACE problem and this RACE problem would be solved only if hundreds of millions of non-blacks were brought into EVERY black country and ONLY into black countries?
How long would it take anyone to realize I’m not talking about a RACE problem. I am talking about the ultimate solution to the BLACK problem?
And how long would it take any sane black man to notice this and what kind of psycho black man wouldn’t object to this?
But if I tell that obvious truth about the ongoing program of genocide against my race, the white race, Liberals and respectable conservatives agree that I am a naziwhowantstokillsixmillionjews.
They say they are anti-racist. What they are is anti-white.
Anti-racist is a code word for anti-white.
Everything is a code word for antiwhite to you, who are probably a Putin bot.
Years back, whites migrated down into Sub-Saharan Africa. Africa begin to export Commodities, Produce, etc. Then recent years, whites (particularly farmers) who did not leave were murdered. Now Sub-Saharan is experiencing, famines, rioting, burnings, lootings, killings, and devastations. So what have they produced? America elected a black as POTUS 2 times, had two black DOJ AGs, most of the large cities in America have black mayors, mostly females, black chief of police, most counties are lead by black boards of commissioners, and America is racists? If Lebron James were in Africa, he would be running errands for the village chief, or maybe the village chief, but he darn sure would not be grossing over $ 1 billion over a career. America has now subsequent to 1964-1965 Acts, lowered standards, morals, etc., and the gene pool. Selah
The real crime is the coordinated effort of the corporate media to kill this or any related stories. Beven Cooney, one of Hunter’s partners is presently serving a 30 month sentence. He turned over his email account that contained 26,000+ files, a large portion of them connecting more dots on the Hunter story. Deven Archer, another partner faces a steep battle in court regarding his financial dealings.
The second biggest crime is how rich people, especially politicians can buy their way out of jail with fancy lawyers and “plausible deniability.”
Tony Bobulinsky, a seemingly credible individual, ex-naval officer outlined his dealings with Hunter, Joe Biden, and the Biden family. Where is the news about the evidence he turned over to the FBI? Crickets.
There is THE laptop with thousands and thousands more emails and videos.
There is much more, yet the press covers for this man and his father. Damned the truth. Any legal team who sides against these powerful forces better have thick skin, deep pockets and nerves of steel.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to do the math. What do we hear from the “press” in this matter? Virtually nothing. This should outrage all Americans! What have we become?
And if you link a story such as this to Facebook, Twitter or youtube does it get taken down?
Makes Assange a hero for publishing whatever he got his hands upon.
Seems to me that Hunter cannot be blackmailed. He seems to not care what he does or what comes out. He isn’t an office holder. He doesn’t have a job he needs to pay the bills. He has no reputation to care about. What is to blackmail?
Personally Hunter cannot be blackmailed, but his actions past and present can very well lead to Biden being blackmailed.
For what it is worth, I want to go on the record to state that I agree that the MSM is ignoring the Hunter story. The question is why. First, I don’t care to watch the Hunter tapes. I would not watch the claimed Trump prostitute tapes if they existed. I don’t get my news from the low brow National Enquirer because it is salacious.
If Joe made obsequious comments about Putin and Russia as did Trump, then Hunter would be a story that the MSM I believe would cover, for it would then appear that Putin had some blackmail material on Joe. But Joe does not fawn over Putin and take his side against our own. Moreover, how could Putin blackmail Joe by exposing Hunter for what he is? It is well known! Joe ought to be questioned absolutely about Hunter’s disgraceful conduct especially his being paid obscene amounts of money for his “art.” That does look like influence peddling. And if there are any kickbacks to Joe, impeach!
Until there is some evidence of corrupt influence on, or financial gain to, Joe from Hunter, exposing Hunter as a bad person is simply guilt by association which is not responsible journalism. The MSM took issue with Trump Jr’s public statements. Did the MSM expose his private life in order to shame Trump personally?
To me, the main blind spot of the MSM is its failure to investigate and demand answers about Joe’s mental health. That is a story that effects his presidency and our national security. It is inexcusable not to cover this major story.
Finally, let me add that pointing out the bias in the MSM does not excuse the bias at Turley’s Fox News. Neither Turley nor Fox has said word one about the recent release of the DOJ documents showing that Trump wanted the DOJ to merely announce an investigation into voter fraud in order to give him more ammunition to spread his Big Lie- a lie about which Turley remains silent to this very day. So, you’ll forgive me that I don’t take Turley seriously, for his own hypocrisy undermines his bona fides.
Predictably, both the MSM and Fox feed their preferred narratives to their respective audiences. Can we not at least acknowledge that unsurprising fact?
Jeff:
The main question, to me, was if it can proven that Joe Biden was “the Big Guy” referred to on Hunter’s emails on his laptop, as Toni Bobulinksi says. If so, then a case can build that Joe Biden was being paid in an influence peddling scheme while he served as VP. We also need to investigate the alleged influence peddling that led to Hunter receiving millions of dollars to work with Burisma, when he knew zero about oil and gas. Joe Biden bragged about a quid pro quo, on camera, in which he got the prosecutor fired who, coincidentally, was investigating Burisma. Getting the prosecutor removed helped Burisma, which in turn employed the totally unqualified drug addicted Hunter for millions of dollars. This is why Trump had inquired about it.
Most of Hunter Biden’s behavior is a very sad story of a man destroying himself. Some of it might directly implicate Joe Biden in serious wrongdoing. It is possible that none of it can be proven. Toni can say that Joe Biden is the “Big Guy”, but if he hid the money overseas, or in some other way, it might not be proven.
We need a thorough investigation. With the shocking politicization of the FBI and the alphabet soup in general, I don’t have much faith that the Bidens will be investigated with unbiased diligence. I don’t want the frothing fervor of the out-to-get-Trump-at-all costs, to pin something, anything on him. I just want a fair investigation of these dealings.
It always bothered me that Joe Biden bragged about a quid pro quo that coincidentally helped his son in the job for which he was unqualified, but Trump got impeachment proceedings for inquiring about it.
The Bidens seem very protected. It’s like there is a ruling elite class.
I agree with you that there is a collusion among most of the major media to dampen questions about Joe Biden’s mental health and stability. Remember when activists claimed that Trump was mentally ill or had dementia and shouldn’t have the nuclear codes? Trump immediately took a cognitive function test, and directed his doctor to share the results with the public. Biden won’t do the same.
Karen,
Anyone and everyone should be investigated because, unlike Trumpists, I believe NO ONE is above the law. Neither Turley nor I would ever call ANY investigation a “hoax” or ANY prosecution a “witch-hunt.” So don’t you dare preach to me about upholding the law when you Trumpists spit on it to suit your own.
I know that you were not trained in the law, but I would have thought that you would have the requisite common sense to distinguish between Trump’s quid pro quo and Biden’s quid pro quo. Quid pro quo’s are NOT intrinsically evil. When America grants financial support to another county, there should be strings attached, a quid pro quo! The difference between Biden’s transaction and Trump’s is who benefitted from the transaction. With the support of our European partners, Biden was attempting to remove a corrupt Ukrainian prosecutor for everyone’s benefit. Trump’s quid pro quo served his own selfish political interest: he wanted just a statement- not an investigation- just the words that Ukraine was conducting an investigation into the Bidens. This corrupt request is textbook Trump as was revealed recently by the notes taken by the DOJ official where Trump requested *just* a DOJ *statement* that it was investigating voter fraud in order to bolster his Big Lie. Trump is fond of saying “people are saying” to back-up his lies. He doesn’t need real investigations; he only needs them to say the words.
There is a ruling elite, and they are not all liberal Democrats! You don’t think Trump and his cronies are not among the 0.1%? Are you that naive?
Don’t waste your breath by coming back at me to dispute my interpretations of the facts of Trump’s first Impeachment. I watched every minute of the Senate trial, and my verdict on the evidence and law will not be swayed by you.
It is not easy being among a handful of contributors facing the pushback from what has become a Trumpist blog. I am often tempted to throw up my hands and depart, but I presume you would like a few of us anti-Trumpists to remain on this site if for no other reason than to serve as a convenient whipping boy. I earnestly asked whether anyone on this blog would agree with the unexceptional statement that both the MSM and Fox News feed their respective audiences their preferred narratives. Instead of forthrightly and honestly facing that query, you ignored it.
It’s bad enough that Turley won’t answer tough questions, but I don’t have to take that from you.
“With the support of our European partners, Biden was attempting to remove a corrupt Ukrainian prosecutor for everyone’s benefit. Trump’s quid pro quo served his own selfish political interest: he wanted just a statement- not an investigation- just the words that Ukraine was conducting an investigation into the Bidens.”
*********************
It was mere coincidence that the “corrupt” Ukranian prosecutor was investigating Hunter Biden’s corrupt appointment to the Ukranain energy company. Not even worthy of mention as JS so amply demonstrates.
Psssst , Karen, I’m only saying this because I want JS to buy some waterfront property of mine in Florida.
Mespo,
I agree that Hunter’s appointment to Burisma seemed very suspicious. Was part of the quid for Biden’s quo an assurance that Burisma would NOT be investigated by the newly appointed prosecutor?
If you can indulge in doubting coincidences, so can I. Was it just a coincidence that Trump’s stated intention too investigate corruption in Ukraine just happen to involve his chief political rival’s son?
BTW, I am familiar with waterfront property in Palm Beach. Got anything there on the cheap?
JS:
Being within smelling distance of DC, I can tell you in all seriousness the tried and true method of public bribery is to get the official’s kid/wife/brother/sister into a job, university, board position or charity. It’s happened for eons but not on this scale. The kid then “kicks back” a portion of the current or future booty to the public official. I think we can agree this is payola in the worst form.
Actually, have a part of a condo there!
Mespo,
Not surprisingly, you ignored the 2 questions I posed to you. I will presume, therefore, that you don’t have good answers.
I have already stated that I believe no one is above the law and that everyone including Democrats should be investigated for corruption. When investigations of Democrats happen, you will not hear me call them “witch-hunts” as Trumpists do when one of theirs is investigated.
Here is another question you will ignore:
Will you accept a jury’s verdict if Trump or Weisselberg or any other Trump agent is found guilty?
My parents owned a condo in the peasant section of Palm Beach when I was a kid. Very familiar with Worth Ave. Was joking about getting anything cheap around Mar a Lago!
“So don’t you dare preach to me about upholding the law when you Trumpists spit on it to suit your own.”
Jeff, that was rude, and the rest of your post degraded from there. If you want to talk, I’d love to discuss your ideas. If all you want to do is ad hominem then go bang your head against a wall until you feel better.
Karen,
Please don’t pretend to take the moral high road with me. You defend an inveterate liar and proclaim him an honest man. You avoid my questions because you are intellectually dishonest. You should be grateful that I humor you by engaging with your warped Trumpist mindset. It is my fervent hope that all the dreams and wishes you have for this country go unfulfilled. I suggest you move to Hungary which Tucker Carlson advises is a country more receptive to your worldview.
“You defend an inveterate liar”, but I can’t tell you what he lied about. How dare anyone question me. I’m Jeff, my parents had a peasant condo in Palm Beach.’
Yep, as said before, a spoiled brat who never grew up.
IMHO, Hunter was not suppose to be head/representative of the family business.
Correction: Biden have Putin exactly what Putin wanted. The oil pipeline to the EU.
Joesilberman doesn’t pay attention to salacious National Inquirer media but he lapped up the salacious story called RussiGate coming from CNN and MSNBC. Joesilberman walks around with his nose in the air. You wouldn’t catch him anywhere near the riff raff. Except when he is. He won’t watch the Hunter video because he just doesn’t think about what he just doesn’t think about. Reality aside.
TiT,
I watched enough of the video but was turned off by Fox’s blurring the good parts of the prostitute.
Talk about censorship!
I don’t deny that Hunter and Trump screw prostitutes! Do you?
Jeffsilberman, you said that Fox News didn’t report on Trump pushing for finding votes. I provided a link to a story on Fox News.com. You responded that they didn’t air the story on Fox television. You may be correct but FoxNews.com has had 300,000,000 log ons in the last six months. https://www.similarweb.com/website/foxnews.com/#overview. Your original statement said that right wing news did not cover the story. Simply put, it’s just one more of the cuff statements that you can’t support.
TiT,
You have mistaken me with an anonymous contributor. Now, I could say something cutting about your blunder, but I’ll take the high road, and say nothing. I hope you appreciate my gesture of goodwill.
Jeffsilberman? Are you now telling us that you believe the Hunter laptop story is true? First you tell us that you didn’t view the laptop video because it came from a right wing rag and now you tell us that you have indeed viewed the video. Your porn curiosity must have gotten the better of you. It’s okay, we are used to it.
TiT,
You’re getting to be like Karen- cherry picking what questions you wish to address. I asked you:
“I don’t deny that Hunter and Trump screw prostitutes! Do you?”
Answer my question, and I’ll dutifully answer yours.
You drank the Koolaid
I don’t agree with your assessment of the Hunter material and I do think MSM did all it could to shame Trump personally. But I very much appreciate your post – a straightforward assessment from your point of view with no name calling. How refreshing!
Bayou,
Thanks. The MSM should have shamed Trump for his unpresidential conduct and his chronic lying.
“Trump for his … chronic lying.”
That is the mainstay of Jeff’s argument, but no one on the blog remembers Jeff providing the most significant lies as President that Trump made.
That is because Jeff’s mind has been warped by TDS. He calls him a liar because he hears it all the time from his deranged friends. They can’t name the lies either. Trump so happened to be quite a transparent President and kept a lot of his promises. I can think of a few lies as President, but none of substance that were against the nation.
The second problem Jeff has is when one accuses someone of something, one requires a comparison to provide a standard. Biden has lied his way politically and has even done things that are impeachable offenses. Jeff is recently admitting that Biden isn’t perfect, but I wait for the step where he says Biden lied in office a lot more than Trump.
“But Joe does not fawn over Putin and take his side against our own. ”
Joe talks tough, paraphrasing, don’t cyber attack our most essential things A, B and C. What will he do? Nothing. Joe: stop the Keystone Pipeline, but it is OK for Russia to build the NordStream 2, which hurts our easter allies and puts a wedge in for Russia to use at a later time against NATO.
Joe talks big, but he does nothing for America. On the other side, Joe helps Russia’s military-industrial complex.
Trump talks nice trying to keep Russia away from China and to decrease the heat but helped limit Russia’s military-industrial complex and more.
We have big talkers, Joe and Jeff S., who hurt American interests and world stability. Trump is different. He recognized world powers talking nice to the Russians but controlled them even with American troops.
Expect more wars under Biden and look at how fast Afghanistan is falling apart. The world knows they have a blind mouse in the White House.
SM
Name a story that Fox has ignored because it made Conservatives/Republicans look bad. Bret Baier and Chris Wallace are the best straight news guys in the business. They don’t carry water for anybody. If you want to see a tough interview watch Chris Wallace interview a Republican politician. I’m tired of the moral equivalence between Fox and MSM. The MSM and social media giants did a great disservice to the country when they made sure most people were ignorant about the Hunter laptop before the election. There was an email indicating Joe Biden(the Big Guy) was getting a 10% cut from the Chinese venture. Their business associate Tony Bobulinski confirmed that the whole Chinese deal was set up to funnel money to the Biden family.
Ha! Chris Wallace doesn’t “carry water for anybody”? Please.
Did you not watch his shamefully embarrassing performance as debate moderator?
His wife is a card carrrying Hillary lover. They socialize with some of the biggest Dem operatives there are.
Larry,
Fox News will no longer report on or mention Trump’s Big Lie because even they now accept the fact it was a lie for which they are being sued for defamation. Turley has never discussed it. Fox won’t allow on their programs the lawyers who were purveyors of that lie because it makes Republicans look bad. For this reason, the PillowGuy is no longer advertising on Fox, and Newsmax and OAN are casting Fox as part of the MSM for ignoring Trump’s claim that the election was stolen.
Fox is not reporting the recent disclosures from the DOJ that Trump attempted to get the DOJ to do his bidding by issuing a letter indicating that the DOJ is investigating election fraud, but 2 higher-ups refused to sign and issue the bogus letter. Those 2 stood-up to Trump. They recently gave sworn testimony to the 1/6 commission.
You would expect that Turley would have some comment about this bombshell of a story, but as a dutiful Fox employee, he has been as silent as a grave.
“But Joe does not fawn over Putin and take his side against our own. Moreover, how could Putin blackmail Joe by exposing Hunter for what he is? ”
Joe doesn’t fawn over Putin. He gives Putin what Putin wants. NordStream 2 provides Russia a crowbar to push its weight around in Western Europe and makes it more likely that the Russians enter Ukraine. The eastern Europeans recognize the problems. Jeff doesn’t know much about power politics. On the other hand, Trump talked nice, but Putin wasn’t going to push too far. He saw Trump as a serious President whose actions caused the deaths of the Russian military.
As far as Hunter being a problem, Jeff doesn’t see that Hunter is the weak link to Biden. Jeff’s mom used to close Jeff’s eyes when bad things were seen. To this day, Jeff still keeps his eyes shut.
Hunter says he paid $10,000 dollars a night for the hotel rooms. Once again he is lying. The hotel rooms were actually paid for by the Chinese. Hunter received at least thousands of dollars from the Chinese for doing nothing and he used that money to pay $10,000 dollars per night for the hotel rooms. The Chinese paid for the hotel rooms just because they think Hunter and Joe are such sweet fellows. Another ocean front property in Arizona moment. Where is the video of Trump watching prostitutes peeing on the bed that Obama slept in? Don’t hold your breath to see it.
Major Story Blacked-Out By Rightwing Media
With regards to Hunter Biden, Professor Turley routinely claims that mainstream media has imposed a ‘blackout’ on this story. Yet rightwing media routinely withholds major news stories from conservatives.
Just yesterday, the former U.S. Attorney for Atlanta was interviewed by a Senate Select Committee. Here is the opening paragraph from The New York Times coverage of said development:
“Byung J. Pak, a former U.S. attorney in Atlanta, told congressional investigators on Wednesday that his abrupt resignation in January had been prompted by Justice Department officials’ warning that President Donald J. Trump intended to fire him for refusing to say that widespread voter fraud had been found in Georgia, according to a person familiar with his testimony”.
…………………………………………………….
After the Georgia Secretary of State refused to find the 11,000 votes that Trump was seeking, Trump hoped Mr. Pak would be more helpful. Unfortunately for Trump, Mr. Pak had no interest in playing lacky for the defeated president.
The Select Committee’s hearings have been under-reported by even mainstream media. However last week, Former Acting Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen, dropped a bombshell when he testified that a Trump ally in the Justice Department had drafted a letter to the Georgia State Senate inviting them to recall their official election tallies due to ‘fraud’.
More and more it emerges that Donald Trump himself largely orchestrated the effort to declare last year’s election a fraud. But again, rightwing media is not about to report these developments. Yet according to Professor Turley, we should be boiling mad that mainstream media won’t come clean on Hunter Biden.

Anonymous at 5:28, I found a link that you will be interested in. You tell us that Fox News did not report on Byung Pak being pressured by Trump to find votes. Just so you can clarify your thinking on the matter please note the following. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/white-house-georgia-u-s-attorney-resign. This evidence negates your claim that right wing media didn’t report the story. Since this is the main premise of your comment the natural conclusion must be that your comment is without merit. To put it as politely as one can, your comment is a study in bovine scatology and should be recognized as such by the readers here.
Thinkthrough, perhaps only Turley has blacked-out this story.
These 2 paragraphs are from the Fox piece:
“The pressure on Mr. Pak was part of Mr. Trump’s weekslong push to try to alter presidential election results favoring President-elect Joe Biden, which included his win in Georgia. Mr. Trump this week, following the U.S. Capitol riot, said he would leave office on Jan. 20 when Mr. Biden is inaugurated.
Recently departed Attorney General William Barr has said the Justice Department hadn’t found evidence of widespread voter fraud that could reverse Mr. Biden’s victory, including claims of voter fraud, ballot destruction and voting-machine manipulation”.
…………………………………………………..
There’s a lot here to consider. It supports the NYT story. But was this broadcast on Fox News? Or does it appear on website only?
That man is a hot mess, and I hope he gets some serious professional help.
Concerning the laptop, hard to blackmail someone when the whole sordid thing is out in the open, fully on display.
I think the only problem is did he forget in his drunken, drug binge haze something that may be on the laptop that could be truly a security issue?
Hunter Biden is on a quest to destroy himself. He’s been very diligent at it. So many have tried to help him while he busily digs himself deeper and deeper in his own personal hell.
It’s distressing to see anyone causing his much pain to himself, his family, and everyone else. His behavior is so reckless that he’s in danger of getting HIV, committing suicide, or having a major mental breakdown.
How do you help someone who refuses all help?
I think that the art show should have been canceled. Hunter Biden should spend the next 5 years in a steady progression from rehab, to a residential care facility the next step down, and so on until he’s gotten himself together.
We’re watching a man slowly dying on international news. He’s also a major security threat. People get into drinking, drugs, and sleeping around to have fun. I don’t think Hunter is having fun anymore.
No one can blackmail Hunter for what the world already knows. If there is some damning information out there, held over his head, then he should just release it himself.
Hunter has a choice. We can either read the obituary of the ruin of the President’s son, or we can read about his amazing comeback to health, sobriety, and wiser decisions.
There are people in this world who thought they’d ruined everything. Thrown away all their chances with both hands. Yet they recovered, dug themselves out, and went on to have fulfilling lives. They often help others.
Hunter’s story is really sad. May he turn his ship around and make his life meaningful.
Maybe the most relevant non-fiction film to watch is “Boogie Man The Lee Atwater Story” that came out around 2009. It covers the history back to the 1970’s. Democrats keep falling for this stuff. It’s a must-see film for any honest people on this site and it’s bi-partisan showing both sides.
Ashcroft,
I recommend the classic film “A Face in the Crowd” which resonates today.
Turley: want to know what’s not “allegedly” or “purportedly”? Your role in the clear agenda to smear Joe Biden, to throw red meat to the disciples and to carry on the Fox News narratives– all in preparation for 2022. In addition to smearing the Bidens, one of your assignments is to attack non-Trump media. The reason there are “crickets” from most media about these alleged stories is because there’s no proof and because they are so obviously politically-motivated. The Hunter Biden laptop fable came from Rudy Giuliani, who claimed he somehow located a laptop hard drive in a Delaware computer shop that was allegedly abandoned by Hunter Biden. This was as Trump’s poll numbers continued to slide in the run-up to the election.
Attorney General Garland should appoint a Special Prosecutor to investigate the Joseph Nacchio case (former CEO of Qwest Communications). When Nacchio was released from prison he claimed that he was jailed (for years) for REFUSING to participate in felony warrantless wiretapping.
Most remarkable about this case is that the alleged felony warrantless wiretapping was about 6 months BEFORE 9/11 when no wartime emergency existed. There are at least two possible major felonies: violating FISA, warrantless wiretapping (during peace-time) and false-imprisonment.
Another case involves the deed of a Florida beach house partly owned by Louis Freeh, former FBI Director. At minimum it appears to be a massive conflict of interest.
In 20 years, it’s clear that the U.S. Department of Justice won’t fully investigate these cases without Garland appointing a Special Prosecutor. These cases even make Trump look better.
I agree with your basic point here, but I must take exception to the word “admitted” in this context. Hunter Biden can “admit” that there are missing sex tapes with blackmail potential, and he can *speculate* that it’s “Russians” who have them, but he can’t “admit” something even he doesn’t know to be true, namely that “Russians” — or, as many would interpret that, Putin and the Kremlin — have dirt on him that they intend to use as blackmail. Let’s not feed the Cold War hysteria that the DEMs and MSM snowballed into an international nightmare based on weak-to-nonexistent evidence by assuming the “Russia Bad!” premise is already proven, and the only thing remaining to decide is which American political figures or party should get thrown under the bus with it.
Split hairs much?
Yes, a politically congruent construct, a plausible cause, accompanied by witch hunts and warlock trials, conducted over more than 16 trimesters. Democracy and demos-cracy are aborted at the Twilight fringe.
My last response had to do with morality and then I read this.
The news involving Hunter, blackmail, Joe Biden’s meetings that he lied about, pictures, etc. were withheld by the press and social media. The Biden family is corrupt and has a lot of issues that moral families don’t have.
This information was withheld, yet there are those people on the blog that wish other information be withheld as well, They swore none of the prior materials released by the right-wing were true, but pictures keep coming in. Today they lie about studies vaccines and masks. It is never ending with amoral people. They will always lie, cheat and steal if they can get away with it.
Hunter should act like Trump. When Trump gets caught doing things (frowned upon by the so-called Moral Majority), Trump doesn’t apologize but essentially says “So What”.
Except for the drug use, what was illegal? Two consenting adults not breaking the laws of Nevada. Contrast that to premeditated felonies for perpetrating torture, violating the FISA Act, violating the Privacy Act, violating Reagan’s Torture Treaty and violating the Geneva Conventions by the Bush Administration. Hunter seems no worse than Trump.
The best way to counter a blackmail attempt is to preempt the blackmailers – release it so it’s already out there. Hunter did exactly the right thing. Compared to Bush, Cheney and Trump maybe Hunter should run for president!
There are other film clips out there that have been seen by some and won’t be showing up in the UK Daily Mail. Sorry to say but Hunter is seen breaking a very serious law. And that comes from the MacPro hard drive Hunter left way too long in that Delaware repair shop. There are apparently several copies of that hard drive and the DM has one.
Sorry Ashcroft, prostitution is illegal in Clark County, and by all measure Hunter did indeed break the law, or should his name be John aka hunter. Maybe the D.A. should investigate and prosecute a self admitted scallywag.
Hunter Biden is a fine decent man. I wish people would stop dragging him through the mud.
Ha! There’s probably a video on one of his laptops where Hunter paid some hookers to do that to him. Debauchery is Hunter’s jam.
‘The son of the President of the United States lost three laptops to foreign governments, all of which contained damning intel on his dad, and the US corporate media can’t find a story angle.’
Ha! There’s no story for the media to investigate and report on? Why not? Because Hunter Biden is a private citizen they shout! This is a right-wing conspiracy they shout! Stop attacking a sad family story of a recovering addict they shout! Leave Hunter Biden alone they shout in his defense! But Fox News! But but but Fox News!!
Truth is that Joe Biden deserves every bit the deluge of negative reporting on his corrupt screwed up family. Joe and Hunter deserve AT LEAST as much scrutiny and smearing as the cable news freaks gave to Trump and Don Jr for YEARS over NOTHING.
Why won’t Congress investigate and issue a subpoena and have Hunter testify for hours under oath before Congress like they did to Don Jr.?
Because Joe Biden is part of their ‘club’ and they protect their own. They are all corrupt.
Trump was not part of ‘the club’ and his kind was to be destroyed never to rise again. GOP establishment is in on it too.
The protective wagons will continue circling around demented Joey B. until they are ready to elevate Cackilin’ Kamala. Then the hammer will come swinging down on Joe, real hard.
Sadly one sounds like a broken record in declaring how corrupt the MSM are. It would not matter if Hunter Biden was merely a very messed up human being. But he has profited in untold ways with the assistance of his father and has been entangled with Russian and Chinese agents of their respective government. How this could not be a national security issue? Only to a totally corrupt MSM and a corrupt administration.
“Only to a totally corrupt MSM and a corrupt administration.”
The corruption predates this administration. Most Americans have no idea. Hunter Biden is the least of our worries.
Two wrongs don’t make a right.
Also Ukraine.
