Turley Testifies in the Senate on Domestic Terrorism

This morning I will be testifying before the Senate Judiciary Committee on the expansion of domestic terrorism investigations. The hearing is titled “Examining the ‘Metastasizing’ Domestic Terrorism Threat After the Buffalo Attack” and will begin at 10 am in the Hart Senate Office Building (Room 216). The written testimony is linked below.

The Democrats have proposed legislation that would create news offices for the investigation of domestic terrorism. It would impose reporting, training, and assessment of “the domestic terrorism threat posed by White supremacists and neo-Nazis, including White supremacist and neo-Nazi infiltration of Federal, State, and local law enforcement agencies and the uniformed services.” The legislation also directs these offices to prioritize certain domestic terrorism cases. It is that final element that runs against the grain of the Constitution and the principle of separation of powers.

As discussed in the written testimony, we all have ample reason to oppose these violent elements on both the left and the right. The Constitution imposes limits on the range of action for Congress in addressing such issues from the First Amendment to the doctrine of the separation of powers. The “Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act” is an example of how such means can be well-intended but still contravene constitutional principles. I encourage the Senate to reconsider this approach to address those concerns.

Here are the witnesses who will appear at the hearing:

Professor Of Political Science And Director Of The Chicago Project On Security And Threats

Internal Capitol Police review found sweeping intelligence, security failures on Pelosi’s watch
Secret after-action report cited widespread ineptitude and inadequate riot squads, found closing of open-source intelligence unit may have contributed to tragedy.

…showed no interest in investigating the security failures he saw that day. He said the real lessons to be learned won’t be complete until Congress has new leadership, possibly after the November elections.

“You know, somebody’s got to look at this, and it’s gonna be up to the next administration,” he said. “The next House is going to have to do that.”

A variety of reasons was cited for the slow and uneven deployment of the CDU units, including: …

Remarkably, five months after the Capitol riot the CDU leadership had not revised its strategy and plans to address a future event as severe. “Since this event, no CDU officers from other shifts have received plans for future similar events,” according to the report. “The Department has continued to staff the same 8-12 hour day shifts without further discussion or training.”

  2. Is it in America’s interest to keep other nations as Americanized as Virginia, especially when that is what other nations, such as Ukraine, want?

    1. Is it in America’s interest to keep other nations as Americanized as Virginia, especially when that is what other nations, such as Ukraine, want?
Usually not especially if its Northam’s Virginia. And btw who says so? You? Worked great in ‘Nam, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Cambodia, Afghanistan and through countless other foreign wars designed to implant US-style democracy in places where the population isn’t emotionally or intellectually inclined to be free. Democracy might be a gift from the Creator but a gift has to be wanted and accepted.

  3. If New Zealanders can think that Ukraine is their business, then it is possible for Americans to do so, too. Just because many Americans do not, this does not mean it is the right position to take.

    1. “If New Zealanders can think that Ukraine is their business, then it is possible for Americans to do so, too. Just because many Americans do not, this does not mean it is the right position to take.”
Right it’s just the smart position to take. Ukraine doesn’t have the combat capability or the manpower to dislodge the Russians – ever. You wanna play Don Quixote? Do it on your own dime. And if you wanna martyr yourself over there, feel free to do so. We’ll tie a yellow ribbon for you.

Oh and the New Zealand leader is a hopeless, tyranical moonbat.

  4. If Mespo loves Putin so much, then why doesn’t he marry Putin? Mespo is a useful idiot for Putin, joining the club with Macron and Scholz. Mespo, Putin, Macron, and Sholtz sitting in a hot tub together. There’s a visual for you.

    1. I just love geopolitical manuevering not Putin. I do admire someone who has a plan, executes it and sticks it right up the backsides of the Leftist knownothing mob. Putin is no hero but he’s a Russian nationalist fighting the globalist movement that is even now circling the drain. So while Putin is a ruthless tyrant, he’s infinitely more preferable to the ignorant, tradition-loathing, wrong-on-every-issue Leftist horde who say they run things.

      1. “Putin is a ruthless tyrant”

Without question and so was Gaddafi. We got rid of Gaddafi, but haven’t learned anything.

When all is said and done will anyone be better off? No. America needs to learn how to interfere without interfering.

        1. The simple fact, as borne out by history, is the ruler of such a large, fractionalized country as Russia amust be an authoritarian or he’ll get run slam over by the warring tribes in the country.

“I may be kindly, I am ordinarily gentle, but in my line of business I am obliged to will terribly what I will at all.”
          ~ Catherine The Great.

          1. Thank you. That is the way the world is. The United States Constitutional Republic was an aberration, and gifted far better geography.

            1. S. Meyer:

They don’t call it REALpolitik for nothing. And you’re spot on right about America. It’s why it’s exceptional to everyone but Dimocrats.

  5. The Russian weapons must be destroyed at their source, before they can even be used against Ukraine. Otherwise, it’s like using a bucket to keep water out of a sinking ship.

  6. “The Democrats have proposed legislation that would create news offices for the investigation of domestic terrorism. It would impose reporting, training, and assessment of “the domestic terrorism threat posed by White supremacists and neo-Nazis, including White supremacist and neo-Nazi infiltration of Federal, State, and local law enforcement”

Surely they jest. They turned a blind eye to the Azov battalion. Why?

“During the Battle for Mariupol, the group came to attention for its neo-Nazi iconography on the battlefield including the battalion patch, which featured a Wolfsangel symbol.[13] The Wolsfangel is a historical symbol of independence that was later co-opted by the German Nazi Party. Originally, Biletsky’s PU claimed the symbol was actually an amalgamation of the letters “I” and “N” (the Idea of the Nation), representing the organization’s nationalist beliefs. However, the symbol is widely associated with the modern far-right.[14]

Azov leaders publicly downplay or deny the group as a white supremacist or Neo-Nazi organization. The Azov Battalion denies the symbol’s far-right associations and invokes the reasoning as the PU.[15] However, the Woflsangel is far from Azov’s only allusion to Nazi ideology. Biletsky once stated in 2010 that it was Ukraine’s national mission to “lead the white races of the world in a final crusade…against semite-led untermenschen (subhumans)”[16] Furthermore, interviews with members of the Battalion openly espouse neo-Nazi and white supremacist views.”

      1. I have said repeatedly that the only good guys, as far as I can tell, in this fight, are the regular Ukrainian people. The rest is squirrelly and filled with propaganda and psyops. I’m not really sure what, exactly, is going on in Ukraine, to be honest. It is a mess.

        1. Rose,

One of the most under-reported issues in the Ukraine conflict concerns the Eastern Orthodox Church.

In recent years, Ukraine’s branch of that church has gone its own way; to the alarm of Moscow. Moscow is home to the eastern pope, a man named Krill, who is oddly tight with Putin.

Krill wants to bring Ukraine’s church under control and that’s a motivating factor behind Putin’s invasion. It’s also the the underlying pretext for Putin’s insistence that ‘Nazis’ are running Ukraine.

          1. The Biden/Maidan/Slavic Spring, eight years in progress in the catastrophic Obama World War Spring series. Now, people care about Ukrainians, peculiarly. That said, rabid diversity [dogma] (e.g. racism, sexism, ageism, class-based bigotry) is a problem in the Kiev, military, paramilitary axis.

          2. For better or worse, Russia stands with Ukranians who were disenfranchised during the Slavic Spring, denied essential services (e.g. Crimea), and under assault by a military and paramilitary Kiev-aligned axis over eight years, two under Zelensky.

          3. “It’s also the the underlying pretext for Putin’s insistence that ‘Nazis’ are running Ukraine.”

How? Can you elaborate or provide a source? I have not heard this?

      2. Really….now that is interesting….and you know this how?

If there are as many White Supreamcists as the Left tells us of….we would be inundated by them and see all sorts of riot, mayhem, arson, and murder would we not?

Are they somehow disguised as black wearing ANTIFA Thugs?

        1. People who land on the moon and create wealth for global redistribution, while others are refining their machete skills.

        2. Define “Mespo727272”

It reads like something written by an Enigma machine- 3 rotors not 4.

“We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.”

    – Barack Obama

    “We will stop him.”

    – Peter Strzok to FBI paramour Lisa Page

“[Obama] wants to know everything we’re doing.”

    – Lisa Page to FBI paramour Peter Strzok

“I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy’s office — that there’s no way he gets elected — but I’m afraid we can’t take that risk It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before 40.”

    – Peter Strzok to FBI parmour Lisa Page

This clown should have been arrested for subversion, sedition and insurrection before his election, impeached for his unconstitutional promotion of wholly unconstitutional Obamacare, and prosecuted for insurrection, subversion, treason et al. for his conduct of the Obama Coup D’etat in America?

    Presidential Oath:

“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

Justices of the Supreme Court swear an oath to support the Constitution, its literal “manifest tenor.”

What? America didn’t notice when Alger Hiss was convicted, that Roosevelt had taken America communist (violating Article 1, Section 8, the 5th Amendment right to private property, etc.)?

What? Joe McCarthy was not canonized when he revealed that communism, the diametric inverse of Constitutional America, had infested and pervaded America?

What? America couldn’t grasp that no authority exists in the Constitution for LBJ’s wholly unconstitutional War on Poverty – and still can’t, some $30 trillion later?

These communists (liberals, progressives, socialists, democrats, RINOs) are tearing down, nullifying and abrogating the Constitution piece by piece, word by word (people throughout the world can understand the clear words of the English language, “general Welfare,” and “shall not be infringed,” for example).

These communists (liberals, progressives, socialists, democrats, RINOs) are the very essence and definition of “Domestic Terrorism.”

  8. Benjamin Franklin’s quote, “Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety”, has become an alien concept to today’s batch of conservatives, who would rather pay tribute money to barbarians rather than resist the extortion. Ukraine can be in America’s interest if I think that it is, and I am part of America. I await your hackneyed, debunked, wrong counter-arguments.

  9. Since Democrats could not debate policy on its merits, it simply calls the entire GOP racist.

There have been calls for “reeducation camps” or “getting rid” of all Republicans. There is also a concerted effort to disarm Americans in violation of the 2nd Amendment. Ignorant rhetoric abounds, such as that the civilian semi-automatic rifle, the AR-15, is somehow a “weapon of war” or an “assault rifle”. It’s just a semi-automatic with lesser recoil and a pistol grip. It might look “militaryish” but it is not a military weapon at all. Facts don’t matter. They make the false accusation that it’s a weapon of war, spread misinformation, such as that it’s fully automatic or no background check required, and then they say that the Republican Party wants kids to die if they want to preserve Constitutional rights.

That’s all it takes. An emotional false narrative gets repeated, gains steam, and bulldozes reason.

They ignore actual domestic terrorism of BLM and Antifa, and instead pretend that the KKK and Nazis are running around terrorizing everyone. While there are indeed racist individuals, the only racism that’s normalized today is black racism against whites, Latinos, and Jewish people. Those racist acts of violence are ignored.

After calling the GOP domestic terrorist racist baby killers, ironically, now they want to make investigative offices for white racists and domestic terrorists. But it’s racist to call BLM or Antifa domestic terrorists.

Folks, we’ve already seen how this pans out in North Korea, Communist China, Russia… Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

    1. Please cite the Constitution wherein citizens are prohibited from forming and holding opinions on any subject, including race, or wherein bias and favor are provided to any individual or group of individuals over any or all other individuals, understanding that Americans are prohibited by constitutional statute from inflicting bodily harm, etc.

If Americans enjoy the freedom of speech, they must enjoy the freedom of thought, choice, distinction, differentiation, discernment, discrimination, etc.

If Americans enjoy the freedom of assembly, they must also enjoy the freedom of dispersal and separation.

What exactly is a “racist?” How exactly does the Constitution prohibit “racism?”

If the Constitution prohibits racism and racists, how did those who wrote the Constitution not disobey it?

      1. George, if I’m interpreting your questions right, you want to know whether under the current Constitution (as amended 27 times) you have the freedom to think and act with racial prejudice. Is that what you’re asking?

There are many layers to the answer. If you are a government worker, you may privately think, but not act with racial prejudice in any official capacity. And, since the way you think can affect your work, you’d be better not serving the public.

From the psychology research I’ve been studying on newborns, every human is born with an innate preference for self-similar social company. So yes, at least one component of racism is inborn — it is a legacy of 200,000 years of survival in tribes. That component of racism is not taught or learned, although with self-awareness learning, it can be made so dormant that individuals can effectively work with, and even intermarry with someone from a different race/ethnicity.

For those who see no reason to want to get along with good-natured, responsible, trustworthy people other other ethnicities, OK, they can remain scared and small-minded. It’s not becoming. It’s the opposite of inspirational. I don’t know anybody like that, and I wouldn’t want to.

As an example, as a result of brazen urban crime mostly committed by young black men (hold-ups, carjackings, drive-by shootings), I’m seeing many Americans throwing shade on all black Americans. Yet, the reality is that a tiny % are involved in these crimes. And so I ask: What about the 99% of African-Americans who are not involved in criminal lifestyles?….what do they deserve for being law-abiding? Do they deserve to be above your suspicion? Any fair-minded person would say “Yes, law-abiding black Americans deserve to go about their lives free of suspicion.” That reflects the 4th Amendment to the Constitution, which says you cannot be tagged as suspicious absent solid evidence linking you to a specific crime. Sharing skin tone with a criminal does not qualify as reason for suspicion under our system of law.

Yet, we know that the human brain comes wired up to detect statistical patterns, and combined with the inborn favortism for the race of our birth, and with the fear response which can be quite broad and non-specific, it’s a challenge to live up to the high ideals expressed in the Constitution.

One the worst mental shortcuts anyone can make is to harbor suspicion of a fellow human where none is warranted or justified.
Think how it feels when you have been unjustly accused of something bad. Then, step into the shoes of someone who is receiving your false accusation or errant suspicion. Anyone with reasonable empathy, following the Christian Golden Rule, will therefore try to extend trust and goodwill where there is no evidence to not do so.

I hope I answered your question. In short, the law is blind to race-ethnicity, and as free-thinking individuals, we each decide to what degree we want to act with that same fairness toward others. Those who reject the idea of acting with fairness stand out as a-holes.

        1. Great answer: The Constitution provides “government” the power of mind control. Are you out of your ——- mind? Sorry.

Do you expect Americans to be held at gunpoint and killed by the millions to amend their Constitution, per directives by Karl Marx, toward “…the RECONSTRUCTION of a social world…” through Marx’s RECONSTRUCTION Amendments?

I don’t see that in the constitutional procedures for amending the Constitution. Incidentally, if it’s virtually and typically impossible to ratify ONE amendment, how the —- did the communist successors of Lincoln get THREE amendments through in no time at all without glaringly improper ratifications? I suppose you expect Americans to buy that too. The answer is that they started a unconstitutional war, imposed martial law and seized power.

Do you believe that immigration law must have been enforced in 1863? The law required the compassionate repatriation of freed slaves – the Naturalization Act of 1802.

Do you believe America was established by its Founders and Framers to be stolen and “fundamentally transformed” by criminals, such as Lincoln who engendered his entire “Reign of Terror” by unconstitutionally, illicitly and illegally denying to southern states the fully constitutional right to and freedom of secession, which is not prohibited by the Constitution, and was availed of by the American Founders themselves against Great Britain.

America is actually a grand Constitutional Lie, isn’t it?

        2. Abraham Lincoln had the cojones to declare martial law, seize power and subjugate America with military force, then eliminate classes from society at the behest of his mentor Karl Marx, who congratulated and commended him for his efforts toward “the RECONSTRUCTION of a social world,” ultimately, through the “RECONSTRUCTION Amendments” of Lincoln’s communist successors, all to Save the Union.

President Trump didn’t have the cojones to declare martial law, seize power and free America by repealing America back to the freedom of the Constitution and Bill of Rights, to Save the Republic.

    2. Karen S says:

“That’s all it takes. An emotional false narrative gets repeated, gains steam, and bulldozes reason.”

You mean like, um, the emotional false narrative of massive voter fraud which Trumpists repeated incessantly, gained steam and now bulldozes reason?

Has Turley claimed that the election was stolen?

      Not once, not ever. Why?

      He is a NeverTrumper.

      1. NO the factual false nartrative that the election was the most secure ever when it was OBVIOUSLY Not and OBVIOUSLY lawless.

There was excellent reason to suspect fraud, and we know know of large scale fraud.

The substitution of emotion for fact is again yours.

Much of what has been uncovered since the election might have been uncovered had courts done their job and allow meaningful inquiry.

          1. Bzzt, wrong and irrelevant.

Turley himself asked Biden to accept a thorough examination of the 2020 vote. Turley quasi correctly noted that thorough examination of the election results rarely changes outcomes and always re-assures voters.

BTW, in the news today a Philadelphia Democrat plead guilty to ballet stuffing in several past elections, in this instance ending in 2018

Fraud is common place in Philadelphia – everyone knows it.

In TX a democratic primary is down ot 0.6% of the vote – that is more than twice what separate Trump and Biden in several states,
and the democrats is vowing to fight to the bitter end.

In one Jersey community almost 10,000 invalid voter registrations have been found – including dead people, non existant people and the same person registered multiple times.

      2. There is far more than enough evidence at this point to REQUIRE a broad criminal investigation.

No one requires you to expect a specific outcome of that investigation. But the prima fasci case needed to conduct an investigation to question witnesses and suspects, to gather financial records, is all present.

How much you want to bet no consequential investigation occurs ?

          1. Still wrong.

You seem to think you can read Turley’s mind.

I do not presume to know What Turley thinks on matters he has not written about.

I do not presume to know what he thinks on matters he HAS written about – only what he has said.

Regardless an appeal to turley is a fallacy. Especially so when you put words in his mouth.

If you are going to pretend that you are a mirror for Turley – you could atleast accurately portray his positions.
Rather then pretending you can read his mind.

          2. Jeff:

Really? You stand with Turley? Because you troll him incessantly.

        1. There is no evidence of mass voter fraud. There never was. You are clinging to old conspiracy theories.

          1. The truth is in the hundreds of thousands of illegal votes being reported on a regular basis. The proof is also in 2000 Mules.

You talk but know nothing of the data reported or in the documentary. That makes you ignorant.

          2. 354,000 ballots in GA that no election official and witness have signed off on – so there is no chain of custody.

2000+ people in 6 locations caught in the act of ballot harvesting.

            17,000 voters who cast 48,000 ballots. ‘

Another PA election official convicted of running the same packs of ballots through scanners over and over – I beleive that is the 4th one so far.
These did this over a decade. Admitted not in 2020 – because they had been caught already.

But this clearly happened – Philadelphia many times – why do you disbeleive video, afadavits and duplicate ballot scans from GA showing this.

Regardless, I am less concerned about the fraud than the lawlessness.
The election was not conducted according to the laws in these states.
There is no conspiracy theory to that.

Though I would separately note that all conspiracy theories are not wrong.

There was a conspiracy to peritrate a HOAX on the country with the Steele Dossier and Alpha Bank fraud.

          3. Again can you read.
            There is MASSIVE evidence.

You can personaly conclude that evidence is not proof beyond a reasonable doubt – though I think Juries outside of DC would be persuaded.

It is already evident the needle has moved. the majority of americans now beleive there was massive cheating – 52%, with only 40% beleiving there was not.

Polls do not constitute proof, but they do reflect popular judgement of the EVIDENCE.

Pretending Evidence does not exist – just makes you look stupid.

            Again READ CARFULLY.

I beleive at this point that large scale fraud has been proven.

But there is ZERO doubt there is EVIDENCE of large scale fraud. \
16Trillion cellphone locations, and 4M minutes of video are EVIDENCE.

What i damning of the left is almost no one is investigating the EVIDENCE.

    3. Karen S,
      As always, well said.
But you did forget to mention Asian hate crimes that seems to get little attention from MSM.
And I do believe you are correct, the progressive, woke Dems are trying to paint anyone non-woke as a racist or anti-whatever. If you do not display whatever progressive wokeness, then you are a racist!

      1. Anonymous:

You are absolutely right. Not only hate crimes against Asians, but discrimination against Asians in university admissions and hiring practices has been swept under the rug.

    4. “An emotional false narrative gets repeated, gains steam, and bulldozes reason.”

      Well said.

And notice how the emotionalist type simply ignores any opposing facts, evidence, arguments. “Those who do not use reason are not open to its persuasion.” (Victor Hugo)

  10. Hmmm, when’s the last time the KKK or Nazis had any power in the US?

Compare and contrast to the BLM and Antifa mobs looting, committing arson, robbing and assaulting people. They burned and destroyed Democrat-run cities across the country. They engaged in antisemitic attacks on Jewish businesses, and attacked white people based on race.

But, we’re supposed to ignore that and be on the lookout for Klan-type thugs?

Clearly, 3 letter agencies have become politicized and weaponized by the Left.

The Left calls everyone who disagrees with them as racist or transphobic. Disagree with the debunked 1619 Project or the violence of BLM? You’re a white supremacist. Coincidentally, white supremacists have been deemed a major threat in the US, with special investigative units to be allocated.

    The stuff of Brown Shirts.

  11. Speaking of domestic terrorists, here is a video of the moment when a driver, 16 year old at the time, high, in a stolen car, deliberately run over a mother and her 8 month old son.

Los Angeles, CA DA Gascon refused to charge him with attempted murder, as that would have given him one strike. Instead, he charged him with lesser crimes, diverted him to a reformatory camp, and his record will be expunged next year when he turns 18.

This guy was already on probation for poisoning a girl 2 years prior, at 14 years old, for spiking her drink. I don’t know what he spiked it with, or why – date rape drug, poison to make her sick, attempted murder, or what?

Criminals, Gascon has your back. Victims, not so much.

  12. All is solved now, President Biden is gotten serious and is adressing the serious issues before the Nation.

Mathew McConaughey is speaking from the White House at this moment.

Democrats always go to the heavy hitters when times are tough. Call in HOLLYWOOD! People that spend their life living in fantasy is exactly the expertise this White House seeks.

    1. “Mathew McConaughey is speaking from the White House at this moment.

Democrats always go to the heavy hitters when times are tough. Call in HOLLYWOOD! People that spend their life living in fantasy is exactly the expertise this White House seeks.”
Who doesn’t want an erudite, enlightening and effervescent opinion on a complex legal, medical, ethical and liberty question from a guy whose dedication, smarts and determination catapulted him all the way to a bachelor’s degree and then on to LALA land! Carry on , Matt. I’m taking great notes.

Every American can read and comprehend the fundamental law of the United States. His Eminence, Mathew McConaughey, appearing not being given to simply obeying the law, would do well to advocate an amendment to the Constitution, callous publicity stunts not being an integral part of that process.

Alternatively, he may advocate a general shift of the legal age, or the age of majority from, 18 to 21, understanding that a citizen may keep and bear arms upon achieving legal age or adult status.

Interestingly, the Founders determined the appropriate age for voting to be 21.

        2nd Amendment

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

      2. Mespo, go back a few days to the NLRB, Congress is not enumerated power to regulate private enterprise or labor, Article 1, Section 8, Congress has the power to create tribunals, but it has no power to regulate private property enterprises and labor through tribunals. The NLRB is unconstitutional regulation, no?

        1. “It’s a slippery slope but Article I, Sec. 8 courts are established by Congress as inferior tribunals to Art. III courts and their judges don’t have lifetime tenure or salary protections. They handle administrative cases based on federal legislation rather than the Article III courts which sit nisi prius (or as triers of general issues of fact with a jury).”

          – Mespo

  13. Jonathan: I read your statement submitted at today’s Senate hearing on domestic terrorism. It’s basically a repetition of previous testimony you have previously given to Congress. You claim Jan. 6 was just a “riot”–not an act of “domestic terrorism”. And: “The use of terrorism laws for such violent protests is inimical to free speech”. Really? The destruction of Capitol, the loss of 7 lives–all in an attempt overturn a legitimate election and the Constitutional order does not seem to fall into the category of your run of the mill “riot” or the exercise of “free speech”. But Chuck Grassley will love your testimony.

You spent a lot of time in your statement trying to divert attention away from white nationalist terrorist groups into your claim that Antifa is the real domestic terrorism threat: “The Antifa movement is arguably one of the most organized and most successful anti-free speech movements in our history”. After Jan. 6 some GOP politicians picked up on this theme by falsely claiming Jan. 6 was a “false flag” op carried out by Antifa and the FBI. I was bent over in laughter when I heard that one. It’s ludicrous to think Trump would enlist Antifa to carry out his seditious plan. That conspiracy theory soon fell apart after the shock troop leaders of the insurrection were identified and arrested. The leader and members of the white nationalist Proud Boys have just been indicted and charged with “seditious conspiracy”. In the Buffalo mass shooting the shooter was not inspired by Mark Bray’s “Antifa. The Anti-Fascist Handbook”. As he states in his manifesto he was inspired by white racist ideology and the “Great Replacement Theory” peddled by white nationalist groups and, believe it or not, Tucker Carlson.

By the way Fox is throwing in the towel when it comes to covering actual “news”. Fox says it won’t cover the Jan. 6 public hearings starting Thursday. It calls the hearings “grotesque”. No big surprise. Fox is in the “opinion” business. Rupert Murdock admitted this when he successfully defended Carlson after he was sued for libel. Fox said Carlson does not deal in “actual facts” because “any reasonable viewer arrives with an appropriate amount of skepticism about the statements he makes”. This probably comes as a shock to many in this chatroom!

You must be disappointed Fox will not be covering the Jan. 6 public hearings. Looks like you will have to tune into ABC, CBS, NBC CNN or MSNBC–you know, the “liberal media” you are always complaining about.

    1. “The destruction of Capitol, the loss of 7 lives–all in an attempt overturn a legitimate election and the Constitutional order does not seem to fall into the category of your run of the mill “riot” or the exercise of “free speech”. But Chuck Grassley will love your testimony.”
Repeating the lie “loss of 7 lives” doesn’t help its or your credibility. The only death was a protestor at the hands of an overzealous cop and a few other folks who died from natural causes later. Typical Dim hyperbole shot all to Hell by the facts. Don’t ever wonder why we don’t believe you.

      1. If the victim had been black and the cop white, he’d have gotten life.

It’s OK for black cops to kill white citizens.

It’s no OK for white cops to kill black citizens, even inadvertently by innocuous restraint procedure.

          1. brave son of one of the victims asks the assembled senators “what are you doing?

            I feel the boys grief.

But, if you seek pesonal protection at the direction of the Federal Govt, you are ignorant of lots of life lessons.

That’s the reason legislation passed in the shadow of a tragedy, is always worse than the problem

    2. Turley exposed himself for what he is, a employee of FOXNEWS. And since Tucker has used Turley’s words before, it wouldn’t surprise anyone if Turley showed up on the show.

  14. First a new Department of Disinformation was proposed. Now a new Department of Domestic Terrorism is the latest attempt to control the people. Don’t you understand that domestic terrorist have infiltrated every branch of government including the House and the Senate. As proper defenders of the state we Democrats will make it our solemn duty to root out the enemies of the state who sit in the most hollowed halls of the Administrate, Legislative and Judicial branches of our government. The flames of your deepest fears must be fanned before the election. Make no mistake, these new agencies are just the formation of two new police forces. Where oh where has the leftist idea of defunding the police gone to. The FBI employs 35,000 cops. How many more national cops with mal intent be budgeted for in the glorious new Fatherland.

  15. Wonder if the Panel will get to discuss The Waukesha Christmas Parade Attack?
Probably not since that “Domestic Terrorist” attack doesn’t fit the Democrats NARRATIVE!

  16. And here we thought that the ministry of truth was behind us but like a thousand headed snake it coils on day after day. Some would say that the snake has good intentions but a snake is and always will be a snake. We have already seen that two of the heads of this snake that will not be prosecuted are BLM and ANTIFA while parents who want to have a say in what their children are taught are declared to be domestic terrorist and must be rooted out by the keepers of the snake. Each head of this snake is as dangerous as all the others. All of the thousand heads of the snake say in unison, “Surely your nation will not die.”

  17. Rabid diversity [dogma] (i.e. color judgment, class-based bigotry), including color supremacists who deny individual dignity, individual conscience, and normalize color blocs (e.g. “people of color”), color quotas, and affirmative discrimination. National (Nazis) and transnational socialists and other left-wing fascists (e.g. Stalin, Mao). Feminists and masculinists and other chauvinistic ideologues. Planned parent/hood. Transgender (e.g. homosexual) conversion therapy. Political congruence (“=”). Social progress: one step forward, two steps backward. Cargo cult science and Mengele mandates. Guilty when plausible, until proven innocent beyond sociopolitical leverage. Pro-Choice “ethical” cultists that advocate for the wicked solution: abortion of human life for social, redistributive, clinical, and fair weather causes. Cancel culture.

  18. “the expansion of domestic terrorism investigations” — together with the Jan. 6 kangaroo court:

The one-party-rule authoritarians have already picked the low-hanging fruit — the Jan. 6 “insurrectionists.”

Now it’s time to go after the high-hanging dissenters: Allies of Trump and Trump, school board protestors, those online and in the media. And to the rank-and-file of that “terrorist” party, the message is this: “See what we can do to your prominent spokesmen. You sure you want to vote republican?”

  19. “the domestic terrorism threat posed by White supremacists and neo-Nazis, including White supremacist and neo-Nazi infiltration of Federal, State, and local law enforcement agencies and the uniformed services.”

You know the goal is to create political “criminals,” when the designation “domestic terrorism” does not mention BLM, Antifa, Black nationalists.

    1. They want to create an office of “McCarthyism”
And no, it’s not well intentioned, far from it.
