Are You in an Anti-Free Speech State? We Now Have The Definitive List

For years, we have discussed the alarming shift in the Democratic party on free speech with candidates running on pledges to censor opposing views and politicians supporting blacklisting and censorship on social media. Many citizens oppose such efforts to restrict their rights under the First Amendment, but are unaware of the work of their representatives to limit free speech. Now, a filing in the Supreme Court supporting censorship efforts by the Biden Administration has supplied a handy list of the anti-free speech states for citizens.

The 5th Circuit previously ruled in Missouri v. Biden that administration officials “likely violated” the First Amendment and issued a preliminary injunction banning the government from communicating with social media companies to limit speech.

Not surprisingly, the state of California is leading the effort to get the Supreme Court to reverse a decision enjoining the government from censorship efforts. California has long sought to impose speech limits on doctors, businesses, and citizens to silence opposing viewpoints.

However,  23 Democrat-led states joined this ignoble effort in signing on to the brief of California Attorney General Rob Bonta.  The brief lauds past efforts of these states to combat “harmful content” on the Internet and to protect the public from “misleading information” through partnerships with social media companies.

So here is the list to see if you are residing in an anti-free speech state:

Arizona

Colorado

Connecticut

Delaware

Hawaii

Illinois

Maine

Maryland

Massachusetts

Michigan

Minnesota

Nevada

New Jersey

New Mexico,

New York

Oregon

Pennsylvania

Rhode Island

Vermont

Washington

Wisconsin

District of Columbia

  1. VT joined, which is led by a Republican and my quick inspection shows that only 4 states with Democratic governors refrained from joining: LA, NC, KY and KS.

  2. This is really bad news. 23 states. I could believe six or even ten, but 23 is horrible.

Let’s be completely honest–there is no common ground anymore between patriots and the American Left. The Left has become intolerant and absurd (the next bus stop is tyrannical), and right now, they control immigration.

I hate to say it, but if the above is true, the chances of major civil conflict within the next ten years would have to be above 50%.

And that would deepen the disaster because America would likely split into chunks. Nobody is going to fight and die for the greater glory of Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi, and our military can’t conquer 2,000 miles of hostile territory without controlling all the nukes. Russia controls the nukes, and even she is struggling with little Ukraine.

And no, the West Coast would not align with the East Coast. California’s oligarchy depends on Beijing, not Washington. America was always reluctant to station troops in Taiwan. Beijing would have no such reluctance about California in a weakened North America.

Think I’m crazy? Two California girls already competed on behalf of China in the last Olympics. Their subtext: “f*** you, America.”

I hope the “Center” will finally show up at the polls and stop acting like dumb asses.

    1. Let’s be completely honest–there is no common ground anymore between patriots and the American Left.

They are two sides of the same coin. Marxism exists in America because Americans failed to raise families that abided by the values espoused by the Founding Fathers: virtue, morality, religion. The list is too long to provide exhaustive list, but here are a few examples: sanctity of the nuclear family and the extended family, sanctity of marriage vs divorce, honoring one’s parents especially in their latter years, honoring one’s body vs obesity / sloth / licentiousness, self-restraint / temperance, fathers mentoring their sons, parents educating their children particularly in shaping their conscience, etc, etc, etc. Our nation has collapsed because Americans became complacent

There has been these past few days a war taking place amongst so called “conservatives” about a calendar featuring women. The insults, bromides and vilifying lobbed by both sides are at histrionic levels, all this by “conservatives”.

Lets assume Democrats ceased to exist, the Left all fled to Cuba, and all that were left in America would be so called “conservatives” and Republicans. The insults and toxic behavior would remain, e.g. George on here habitually goes on rants about Rinos, Tom (as anonymous, coward that he is) insulted me earlier for expressing my opinion on Trump and his behavior on here these last few weeks has been disgusting (violating every prior sense of decency Americans once held), the insults Trump tossed at Republican candidates in 2014-2015 were greeted with applause, its just a sick sick culture in America.

The answer? Ive stated it many times. Start with yourself, then spread outwardly. Conversion begins with oneself, then show others a better way by one’s example

I have little hope for America as a nation. But I am the eternal optimist when it comes to the individual, to reach their fullest potential. Start there.

      1. Estovir, I’m not convinced that everybody who claims to be conservative or claims to be so-and-so is actually who they claim they are. I’m not kidding. The backbiting doesn’t seem authentic.

I think the trolls might be using assumed identities and half-truths to create confusion and resentment. From this point forward, I’m not responding to attacks from the right because I don’t really know it’s from the right. I would recommend the same response for everyone else.

Better to be paranoid than wrong in a dark alley.

        1. “Estovir, I’m not convinced that everybody who claims to be conservative or claims to be so-and-so is actually who they claim they are. I’m not kidding. The backbiting doesn’t seem authentic.”

I agree, Diogenes. If we look at the number of postings by conservatives carrying a name, we note very little backbiting. However, when hypocrisy shows its ugly head, we rightfully see responses that are direct and to the point.

      2. The answer? I’ve stated it many times. Start with yourself, then spread outwardly. Conversion begins with oneself, then show others a better way by one’s example.

Brother Estovir, that is about as pure of a personal philosophy as one should aspire to. At it’s root is the virtue of humility. Right about now, millions if not billions of people around the world are considering New Year’s resolutions. Some will be looking outwardly at things that will make a positive difference in their lives and perhaps others. Some will be looking inwardly at physical things they perceive will bring them the best health and happiness. Most, will fail to keep them. Not because they are unachievable. But because the effort is unsustainable without being spiritually grounded in the virtue of humility.

I follow JT’s blog because his legal philosophy remains grounded in the root virtues that inspired our founding fathers to create this system of government. #1 of them is humility. Reading through his posts, I can feel when he makes that connection. However, when I reach the comment section, it’s as though I’m walking in the streets of San Francisco trying to avoid the human waste. It’s you and very few others that make the trip worthwhile. Thank you sir!

        1. It’s you and very few others that make the trip worthwhile. Thank you sir!

Thank you, OLLY. I am a sinner. The things that I wish to do, I do not do. The things I should not do, I do. St Paul stated as such more elegantly in the Book of Romans

OLLY, I too have my fears and preoccupations about the US and its trajectory. Richmond is a hell hole. However I refuse to cave, succumb, give my soul to a political ideology, use language that is approved by one “in” group but anathema to my walk with Christ. Allan / S Meyers once threw a pejorative my way as to my “religiosity”. He meant it as an insult. I took it as a compliment. Recall what our Lord said about being luke warm. Do people know in our midst who we are? Since day one on this blog my Catholicism has been assailed, not just by the Leftist trolls but by “conservatives” as well like, e.g. Iowan2, OldmanfromKansas, etc. Our nation has been populated with luke warm residents for decades. They caved on the most sacred institutions of our nation when it mattered: marriage, nuclear family, extended family, forming the conscience of their children, our bodily temple, being a good Samaritan which is a uniquely Christian teaching, not Jewish nor Muslim.
Now we see the consequences of those luke warm Americans. These luke warm Americans (right wing and left wing) are the reason our culture has collapsed. We were created as a nation under God. Look where we are now.

There is only one way to fix it. Such are my thoughts

          Pax

          Romans 7:19-25, Revised Standard Version
19 For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I do. 20 Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I that do it, but sin which dwells within me.

21 So I find it to be a law that when I want to do right, evil lies close at hand. 22 For I delight in the law of God, in my inmost self, 23 but I see in my members another law at war with the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin which dwells in my members. 24 Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? 25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I of myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.

          1. Not sure why you singled me out. I have no opinion on other peoples faith. judge not, and all that. Dont have any beef with the Holy Roman Catholic Church.

            1. Dont have any beef with the Holy Roman Catholic Church or their propensity for cornholing little boys.

          2. “Allan / S Meyers once threw a pejorative my way as to my “religiosity.” He meant it as an insult. I took it as a compliment.”

Estovir, I already told you that was not an insult, and I may have used the word in the wrong fashion, but I cannot be sure one way or the other without the quote. If you took it as a compliment, then that is good because it wasn’t meant as a pejorative. I meant it oppositely that you expect a person’s religious beliefs to be imprinted on their head, whereas I believe it to be a private issue. That is a personal choice, but one should not accuse another of immorality just because they don’t shout it out to the world.

“Since day one on this blog my Catholicism has been assailed, not just by the Leftist trolls but by “conservatives” as well.”

I can’t talk about others, but if you use your Catholicism as a weapon or accuse others of not being as moral (where you equate morality to religion), then faith is drawn into a discussion in both positive and negative ways. Don’t complain when you are the cause.

“being a good Samaritan which is a uniquely Christian teaching, not Jewish nor Muslim.”

Maybe I don’t understand what you mean by Good Samaritan, but if you read the Old Testament, you will note there are 613 commandments, many involving the act of being a Good Samaritan. This desire to do good to friends and enemies alike extends into the Talmud.

If I am reading things correctly, you owe your Muslim and Jewish friends an apology.

      3. “Our nation has collapsed because Americans became complacent”

        Trump is not complacent.

      4. I saw your post “I did not and never would vote for Trump.” Somehow you don’t consider that an insult. I’m not certain in what world that isn’t the highest insult right now to the very party you claim to be admonishing. The USA has always or near always had a secret ballot for more than one reason.

I know your type. In your own mind your pretty words are saintly. As they fall on others, the hatred is multiplied.

There have been many articles written about the much worse state of politics at times in the USA’s past. A simple thing that comes to mind is the death duels from politicians.

Once again you openly attacked Trump, the crowd’s response, and America’s culture. It’s a good thing you wear a halo so happily and tell everyone work on themselves, while you also state you believe America is finished.

Virtue signaling while filled with vice is no good.

        1. Once again you openly attacked told the truth about Trump, the crowd’s response, and America’s culture.

Shakdi, your comment reminded me of joke about an overweight wife asking her husband if her dress made her look fat. After much consideration, he responded: no, your fat makes you look fat. She of course felt insulted (attacked) and he of course cared about her so much, he owed her the truth.

I can tell by your comment that you know what Estovir said was true. How? Because instead of proving him wrong, you deflected by saying There have been many articles written about the much worse state of politics at times in the USA’s past. It’s also apparent his so called virtue signaling triggered your instinct to defend yourself. Everyone, including myself, you and Estovir, needs to be able to accept the truth, harsh as it is, if we can ever hope to make the necessary changes.

My only objection to what Estovir has said is to never say never. We’re human after all.

  3. A shorter and more interesting list would be US states led by a Democratic governor who are not on the wrong side of this.

  4. Dear Prof Truley,

The ‘blue states’ have got their work cut out for them. Much of everything I read is ‘harmful and misleading’ to say the least. .. in every state.

They could, and should imo, start with Biden’s 51 top national security officials, including the past five CIA directors, [unclassified] assessment that Hunter’s laptop has all the hallmarks of Russian disinformation two weeks before the election past. Fact Check: That was ‘harmful and misleading’ in the extreme. .. and still is.

It seems to me, with every new insurrection ‘amicus brief’ and/or ‘indictment’ the 2024 election noose tightens. The choice, the only choice, will be Biden v Trump 2024. Once Again. Chiseled in stone.

How is that not a ‘rigged election’?

*”There are no blue states. There are no red states. There is only the United States.”

  5. As a subject living in The People’s Republic of Maryland, I can say that this Democrat controlled schiff hole is a totalitarian state. Will be leaving one day soon. I will not put my name because, like China, this state monitors every word said, every opinion shared and is working toward monitoring every citizen 100% of the time.

    1. As another proud citizen of the “Free State,” I am duty-bound to report your harmful expression. Did you notice that 8 of the original 13 states are on the list? What a disgrace!

  6. We are witnessing a revolution underway, slowly, carefully, subversively. The pace is accelerating and intensifying. This war is not being fought with guns and swords, not with soldiers but by activists and activist organizations who identify and control strategic targets, one of which is information. Their goal is to destroy the individual, families m, institutions and ultimately the United States and western civilization.

The remedy for this is truth; true truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

“One lawyer with a briefcase can steal more than a hundred men with guns.” —Mario Puzo

    1. E.M.
      Well said.
As we have seen, all the leftists narratives have fallen when exposed to the truth. And even then, their attempts to spin become more and more obvious and even fail more so.

  7. I suspect that this will be handy campaign fodder for the Republican Party and it will cost no research, just to simply run off the copier. The height of hypocrisy. Screams of preserving democracy when they are doing everything in their power to make the USA a 1 party state and remove our ability to even protest about it.. This will not end well for any of us.

  8. The the left/media tries to claim that pulling a porno book out of a kids library is book banning. They claim that making it impossible for a 1st grade teacher to discuss gender with a 7 year old is censorship and that it means “don’t say gay”.

My wife just started reading 1984, a book that I have read a few times, and as a good conservative it is eye opening for her. Everything I wrote in the first paragraph is Orwellian.

    1. HullBobby,
      Well said.
They keep repeating those lies over and over again when anyone with a degree of common sense, reason, and morality can see the truth.

  9. Might as well be a list of the bluest governorships and most dubious election practices. Not the least bit surprising. How much corroborating evidence do we need to wake up, particularly after all that happened in 2020, across the board?

I have a family member in CO (not a young one, either) who will say they are the most independent thinker alive and then proceed to parrot an entire litany of unfounded leftist propaganda without batting an eye, also without realizing that is what they are doing. The people leaving these places are taking that mentality with them, stay on your toes if you live elsewhere, because yes: this could easily happen to your free place, even Texas.

To whit: my wife and I left a blue hellhole over the summer and if we told the progressive people there where we were actually going, they’d say, ‘Good grief, why?’. As an experiment we started saying Texas instead. These progressives looooved the idea of Texas. 😐

  10. Wonder why the ‘defenders of democracy’ don’t simply put this kind of thing up for a referendum…

  11. and sadly the republican party only accomplishment is to FUND the reign of terror of Democrats

    TAKE AWAY THEIR MONEY!

  12. so it is TIME to end all federal aid to cities, states, college, non-profits where anyone gets $100k of benefit.
TAKE AWAY Democrat Power….shrink federal spending by 50%
Jail every democrat and RINO involved in the many conspiracies…Russian Hoax, Protecting Bidens and others, persecution of Trump, Voter fraud, etc

  13. Matt Taibbi went further than Professor Turley. Taibbi posted yesterday a breathtaking article on his substack, written magnificently, that is both a fast read and provides a long list of censorial acts by Democrats and the Leftist MSM. I never voted for Trump, never will, and nor did Taibbi. However it is impossible to disagree with Taibbi in his latest piece where he shows further proof that the Deep State exists, they are the biggest threat to US democracy, and that Americans distrust both political parties equally at 28%.

    Behind a paywall, excerpts follow:

    Democracy Dies in Daylight
Eight years ago the Washington Post pledged to save democracy, but now argues we need to be saved from it
    MATT TAIBBI
    DEC 28, 2023

A month ago in the Washington Post, not long before the Colorado mess, neoconservative icon Robert Kagan wrote, “A Trump dictatorship is increasingly inevitable. We should stop pretending.” …The graphic was a bust of Caesar, perfect for a six thousand word opus on stopping Donald Trump at all costs, whose sniper-scope subtext was as subtle as the Bullwinkle float at the Thanksgiving Day parade. It could have been headlined, “Where’s Hinckley When You Need Him?”

We learned from Jeff Gerth’s epic Columbia Journalism Review story on Trump-Russia coverage that Woodward tried to warn Post reporters away from the “garbage” Steele Dossier, only to discover a “lack of curiosity” on the subject from staff. It’s therefore an eyebrow-raiser that Woodward took this early moment to note that “Trump is right” that “some of these stories have been out of bounds,” but “the key is to get the big things right.” It was a muted plea, but at a time when it was heresy to suggest Trump could be right about anything, even partially, Woodward was showing a measure of the courage the Post was bragging about. No one caught it.

Trump opponents argue, at times persuasively, that J6 and Stop the Steal prove Trump can’t be trusted to respect “norms,” but the Post and its sources were throwing “norms” out the window at the very moment the paper was paying millions to advertise devotion to them.

From mid-2016 on, the paper was a factory of anonymous intelligence leaks, often false. Not long after the Woodward appearance, it wrote that a Russian named Sergei Millian was the source of the Steele Dossier’s “most salacious claim,” the “well-developed conspiracy” of five years with Russia. It later had to pull the allegation and change its headline after reports emerged that Steele source Igor Danchenko, hilariously no Kremlin insider but a Brookings Institution analyst, was at the zoo when supposedly meeting Millian. Worse, the paper had to concede the infamous story of Trump cavorting at the Moscow Ritz with peeing prostitutes may have come not from Millian, but “a Democratic Party operative with long-standing ties to Hillary Clinton,” as the Post put it in a tail-between-legs explainer from 2021.

The Post racked up lots of these oopsies. It ran the damaging April 2017 leak about the FISA court surveillance of former Trump aide Carter Page, wrongly dubbed an “agent of a foreign power.” It botched the “Nunes memo” story, ran at least eight different wrong scare pieces about Russian bots, bit on “Bountygate,” and helped build the oppo-crafted story of Trump as a Manchurian Candidate whose “warm views” of Russia “began in the 1980s, when the country was still part of the Soviet Union,” who appeared to change the Republican Party platform to help Russia, and “tried to conspire” with Putin. It’s hard to see anything but willful cooperation in a goofball intelligence-led caper to paralyze the Trump administration through a campaign of leaks and manufactured rumors that began before Trump’s inauguration, before he even had a chance to do the bad thing.

Americans clearly hate this drift in the direction of a third-world-style continuous power contest. An incredible 28% dislike both parties now, a record high and four times the percentage from 2002, with the public distrusting both parties equally.

    1. “it is impossible to disagree with Taibbi in his latest piece where he shows further proof that the Deep State exists, they are the biggest threat to US democracy”…”I never voted for Trump, never will”

      Idiot.

    2. So what’s your plan, Estovir? Mr Turley? Who do you think is capable of stopping the “Deep State?” No sure I understand how you can see the truly awful trajectory we’re in, and still not understand that it is only in electing Trump that we might, MIGHT vanquish this monster once and for all.

Any candidate who claims to take up this torch, but do it in a less controversial, drama filled way, is deluding themselves and their supporters.

Ramaswamy? He never says how he can succeed where Trump failed. DeSantis? He won’t even acknowledge all the harms Trump has suffered since before winning 2016. Kennedy? The DNC establishment hates, HATES him. The RNC establishment doesn’t trust him. WHO will he have tI wento helo him vanquish the monster?

Anything short of a Trump win will mean the Deep State won. Period. That’s really all that matters.

Trump’s negatives are huge – for me it’s his VAX debacle – trading our safety for speed, and his utter inability to choose trusted agents as his aides. In normal times, I would choose someone else. But I’m rapidly coming to the conclusion that this may be our last chance to kick the devil back to hell where he belongs. These globalist people and those who follow them are evil, psychopathic lunatics who don’t give two sh*#s about you and I. It ain’t about party, and it ain’t about Conservative v Liberal.

This is an existential battle between liberty and slavery. Never mind abortion rights or protection of life, environmental protection or cheap energy , gay rights or religious liberty, low taxes or income redistribution. These are just distractions being used to divide us and blind us to the much bigger picture.

We’re all going to have to choose sides here. And we will all have to own up to our choices. Be very careful, folks. Don’t waste ink on trying to justify yourself to past associates because you are seeing things more clearly now, but don’t want to be seen as some MAGA person, God forbid.

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times, “MAGA” doesn’t mean you love everything about Trump now or that you ever did. It isn’t now and never was about Trump, the man. It’s about him being the ONLY guy who was articulating and running on what a huge number of Americans already believed.
MAGA means you believe the American Experiment is an idea worth saving and continuing.

If you believe that we are endowed by OUR CREATOR with inalienable rights, and among those are LIFE, LIBERTY, and PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS, YOU are MAGA!

If you believe the government has NO RIGHT to deprive us of that which they didn’t give, NOR DOES ITS PRIVATE PARTNERS- YOU are MAGA!

The only question we should be asking ourselves about every single candidate is who is clearly dedicated to and most likely to fight for these principles?

      1. >”No sure I understand how you can see the truly awful trajectory we’re in, and still not understand that it is only in electing Trump that we might, MIGHT vanquish this monster once and for all.”

Mad cow bull sh!t. Trump had his 4 years and all we got is genocide Joe Biden. Six ways from Sunday.

[I am pleasantly surprized ‘Estivor’ reads Matt Taibbi.]

*[Ed] Snowden for President 2024 ‘It’s the only way to be sure’

        1. “Mad cow bull sh!t. Trump had his 4 years and all we got is genocide Joe Biden. ”

Dgsnowden: That is because we have people who believed idiotic stories from the Washington Post and NYTimes that were proven false. We also have those who are ignorant of facts and can write such trash as what is written above.

          1. S. Meyer

Don’t look at me. I refuse to uncritically believe anything, by anyone, anymore.

*21,965 .. . that’s how many people in Gaza (aka Palestinians) that have been killed, most of them women and children, in 75 days by the Bibi/Biden dynamic genocide duo.

            1. “Don’t look at me. I refuse to uncritically believe anything, by anyone, anymore.”

              Trust but verify.

“*21,965 .. . that’s how many people in Gaza (aka Palestinians) that have been killed, most of them women and children, in 75 days by the Bibi/Biden dynamic genocide duo.”

If you wish to believe Hamas terrorists, you can, but that makes you a fool. I don’t know how many were killed, and I won’t guess, but Israel’s numbers are reasonable for the present, considering the fog of war.

It is terrible when any person is killed, but one must always consider who did the killing. Hamas is killing their own people, and some people counted in their dead were filmed with sheets over their bodies. Later, those dead people removed the sheets and walked away.

How many Gazans willfully assisted Hamas and also helped slaughter and rape Jews?
How many Gazans died because they were used as human shields?
How many more Gazans would have died if the Israelis had used the tactics used by the British and Americans in WW2? My guess is it would be around 100,000 dead.
Who elected Hamas? Who kept Hamas in power? The people of Gaza.

              1. Honesty is the foundation of every human affair.

If you don’t believe the 21,000+ killed in Gaza, again, mostly women and children, what are your/’Israel’s reasonable figures’?

‘Hamas’ is not killing all these civilians, an ‘estimated’ half of whom are children. U.S. made munitions used by Netanyahu’s IDF are.
The argument that the ‘Hamas’ attack of 10/7 somehow grants greater Israel the right to kill 2.3 million civilians trapped in Gaza (by ISREAL) is fundamentally FLAWED.

The analogy to the IDF bombing Gaza into the stone age to the allies WWII bombings in WWII Hitler Germany is ludicrous.

*don’t follow leaders and watch your parking meters

                1. “If you don’t believe the 21,000+ killed in Gaza, again, mostly women and children, what are your/’ Israel’s reasonable figures’?”

Dgsnowden, it’s not the numbers I dispute. It is the reputation of Hamas outlets. After the fact, the proof comes out that their truth was a lie. I will wait for the truth. I don’t want anyone killed, but Israel has a right to protect itself from terrorists who have attacked the nation for 75 years.

“Hamas’ is not killing all these civilians,”

If you believe that, then you believe Hamas is not using the people as human shields and preventing them from leaving the field of battle. If that is what you think, you are a fool. Arguing with a fool is nearly worthless except when spreading the truth to others.

“Israel the right to kill 2.3 million civilians.”

Only a fool makes such a statement after seeing how dense the population is and saying that after almost three months of war, admitting that only 20,000 are dead by inflated Hamas numbers. Why you want to make yourself look so foolish is beyond comprehension.

“The analogy to the IDF bombing Gaza into the stone age to the allies WWII bombings in WWII Hitler Germany is ludicrous.”

Do you wish to proceed further and make yourself not just a fool but stupid as well? Tell us what is ludicrous about the analogy. Take a look at Dresden or the Japanese cities wiped out by firebombing.

                  1. You’ve got it all backwards S. Meyer.

It is Gaza that looks like Dresden, not Israel. .. you fool.

                    1. Sometimes, you are unable to reason and comprehend.

Yes, Dgsnowden, parts of Gaza look like Dresden, but the careful IDF bombing led to fewer deaths of Gazans while causing more deaths and injuries to IDF soldiers. If Israel had done what the British and Americans did during WW2, this war would have been over in days. Israel preserved many lives in Gaza, while Hamas is responsible for many civilian deaths because they used civilians as human shields and sent missiles from hospitals and schools.

You are starting to sound like Shakdi. Try not to complete the process. Shakdi believes a lot of stupid things and says them aloud, even when video proof exists that Shakdi is a liar.

                    2. S. Meyer: “If Israel had done what the British and Americans did during WW2, this war would have been over in days.”

                      +++

That is what I wanted Israel to do: Hamburg, Dresden, Tokyo. Do it fast and get it done before the international whining could begin. They would forget it in a week.

Nothing I have heard since about the Gazan savages has done anything but reinforce my original thought. They are worse than Nazis. Something I once thought it would be impossible to say of anyone, except, perhaps, Communists; they are on a par.

A poor girl who was returned said they are all terrorists over there [in Gaza]. She was held captive in a private home by a family and treated badly by children on up.

The horrors done to young women at the outset of the attack are staggering. Where is NOW? Where are other soi disant ‘Feminists’? Silence in the face of gang rape, torture, nails hammered into living flesh, genital mutilation and murder. They are a disgrace.

Where is the Ivy League? Disgracing itself.

Israel is much more humane than I. Level Gaza then make the rubble bounce and smoke.

              2. LOL You’re so deluded it’s just terrible. The entire world has condemned israel and the USA has blocked it over and over and over again. I think the last count was 153 nations on some vote about another war crime.

I’ve seen the lifelong rah rah Israel people be turned, and are now in full condemnation of zionism and demand bibi and the lukid nightmare be purged forever, and think the zio state will not survive it’s current iteration, and frankly from their past and current predictions have a good chance of being correct. Better tone it down son, no person with any sense can believe you.
It’s not a one sided total information dominance like it has been in the past.

BTW ZERO gazans died because they were “used as human shields” like the kibbutz jews in israel were used as human shields along the border. YES THE JEWS ALL ALONG THE BORDER WERE HUMAN SHIELDS AND DIED BECAUSE THEY WERE AND DESERVED IT.
Welcome to your own mind, you silly fool.

                1. It’s almost like S. Meyer really believes Israel is divinely inspired and ‘Jews’ are God’s ‘chosen people’!

*on the contrary, God rests in reason . .. I don’t know S/He is doing the rest of the time.

                  1. “and ‘Jews’ are God’s ‘chosen people’!”

You don’t know the meaning of God’s chosen people. Being chosen doesn’t place Jews in a higher position.

” God rests in reason . .. I don’t know S/He is doing the rest of the time.”

Anti-Semites lack reason. Terrorists lack reason.

                2. Anti-Semitism exists and has existed through the ages. The first recorded date of Anti-Semitism occurred with Hamen’s decree that all Jews be killed in one day (The defeat of Hamen by Mordecai is celebrated as the holiday Purim.) When people think like Shakdhi, one shouldn’t give them too much room and should realize that whatever they say is laced with hate and stupidity.

Anti-Semitism mutated three separate times. The first was the hate of the Jewish religion. When that wore out in the 1930s, it became the hate of the Jewish race, only to be followed by the hatred of anti-Zionism. The one thing common to all three periods of time was hate surrounded by internal conflict and ignorance.

To see that conflict, all one has to do is look at the Middle East. I won’t go through what I did earlier and explain that Israel has the right to exist based on history, international law, the use of the land theory, and the fact that Jews are indigenous to the land. Instead, I will focus on your conflict. Despite these claims, which Muslims and Arabs do not have, Israel has been peaceful towards its neighbors. I’ll skip the fact that almost all Jews were thrown out of the rest of the Middle East despite the fact that they lived in those homes for generations.

Let’s concentrate on Christians and what is happening to them while you complain about a small number of people legally and morally living in a spec of land.

Firstly, we must note that the worst catastrophes in the area were radical Islamists killing Muslims. That is number one when one is counting numbers and destruction.

But what about Christians? 1.5 million Christians in Iraq were in ~2,000 A.D., reduced to 300,000 to 400,000. I wonder how many remain today? The Afghani church was burned to the ground earlier this century. Mosul, lived in by Christians from almost the start, is empty of that religion. Syria created 800,000 refugees. 5 Million Coptic Christians fearfully live in Egypt, and the last Christian bookseller in Gaza was forced to close his bookshop and then had his throat slit by Hamas in 2007. You and many nations in the U.N. fail to concern themselves with these facts because they are cowards or Anti-Semites. Shakdhi, you are a coward who pretends to be a right-wing conservative but is 100% hate, conflict, and stupidity.

Let me finish the truth. Christians are less than 4% of the population in the Middle East. One hundred years ago, they were 20%.

I have no antipathy to people of any religion who believe in peace, whether they be Christian, Muslim, or Jew. I will stand up and affirm my loyalty to good people who do not engage in anti-Christian hate, Islamaphobia, or Anti-Semitism.

          2. p.s. S. Meyer

Notwithstanding the WaPo and the NYT, these are the facts and they are not in dispute: Trump had 4 years and he ‘lost’, by hook or by crook, to Joe Biden.

            *check it out for yourself.

            1. Dgsnowden: Yes, Trump lost through crookedness and the lack of backbone by many Republicans. At the end of the poker game, the experienced cheater who doesn’t get caught walks away with the money. I guess you didn’t realize that.

I won’t document the things Trump did to help America, the world, and American citizens. He succeeded, but we need more than a good President. We need educated citizens that realize what freedom is. Today, leftists and Democrats (including many centrists and Republicans) have forgotten the Constitution, the law, and morality. Are you one of them?

              1. S. Meyer

You miss my point. Trump had 4 years to clean-out ‘the swamp’ and LOST . .. to a demented, soulless, psychopathic imbecile.

Again, at the risk of redundancy, Trump redux is not going to clean out the swamp appointing life-long swamp creatures like Bolten, Barr, Pompeo or Weiss to U.S. attorney. not.going.to.happen.

*Trump is many things, but not the answer to Biden .. . and never has been.

                1. Dgsnowden, If you think I missed the point, your head is out with the stars and planets.

                2. Despite the inability of one man to drain the Swamp, I’ll take the USA we had recovering under Trump over the disaster we have had under Biden.

For the very first time in decades the bottom of the earnings pyramid were making more money than prior under Trump, and Trump put in place the policies that produced that. We also apparently for the first time in many more decades had an oil and gas surplus. I haven’t seen that refuted, but Biden destroyed it on day one.

If we don’t get a turnaround in everything, though we did in some or many things under Trump, it still slows down and partially reverses the disaster the demoncrat party now is.
I prefer that to flying over the precipice at breakneck speed.
Trump started no new wars we are told.
From clinton to bush to obama and now Biden – they all started a bunch LOTS OF THEM.

                  1. Can’t vote for Trump. He still owes friends of mine money from a scurrilous ‘art of the deal’. .. plus, I detest the Republican and Democrat political parties with equal enthusiasm.

I don’t view Trump’s accomplishments in office quite the way you do.

Still, if 2024 somehow, someway comes down to Biden v Trump II .. . well, I vehemently oppose ‘genocide Joe’.

*assuming we can all hold it together until 2024.

                    1. Is one of your friends elvis bug? He claims trump still owes him from his grass cutting gig

          3. This is a great discussion.
It needs to touch on the reason Republicans support the Dems on getting rid of Trump.
One is just the raw grift. All the DC denizens are Scared witless, Trump will up end the honey pot.
Another factor, Trump is results orientated. He cares ZERO for policy, instead, lazer focused on the problem, then solution. The most stark example is the huge success of the Abraham Accords. An Extremely simple peace through trade, initiative. I get a kick out of the people claiming Trump is an idiot and doesn’t know anything. But in 4 years he Exposed the US State Department as a bloated worthless posturing society. Trump said, ‘this is simple, its hard to go to war with people you share an economic interest with’.
Trump could not understand the entrenchment of both parties, unwilling to negotiate, to make progress.
There was an excellent chance Trump could have brokered an immigration bill, including amnesty. Nope Pelosi proved she will sell out the People, The Nation, Her own Party, and all the illegals in country, rather than allow the Republicans, and Trump to notch a success. Even if it is exactly what she wants.

The short answer is Trump shines the light on the DC illusion of governance.

      2. Not sure who you are but you sound like Steve Bannon. MAGA is much bigger than Trump. We must stop chasing shiny objects the media and corrupt politicians distract us with. It’s signal not noise. Our government spending and debt is so out of control there are no easy solutions but we must focus and get us back in the right direction. How we willingly allow millions to freely invade our country is beyond comprehension

      3. Voting for either The Incompetent or The Unhinged is unacceptable. Get involved with changing the way we select candidates so this debacle never happens again. There are numerous organizations working to change election procedures to take away power from the radicals and return power to the majority. I’m a member of Veterans for All Voters. Fairvote.org is probably the big dog of voting reform, but there are many other organizations trying to break through the stranglehold of radicals on our voting system. Don’t surrender!

  14. Where is the ACLU on this one? If normalization of porn and child sexualization is ok in schools, what could these 23 states be protecting us from?

    1. The ACLU is not the ACLU any more. The ADL is not the ADL any longer. Harvard is not Harvard these days. The military is not the same military. The media is no longer staffed by journalists.

I am glad I am old, but it is going faster than I ever thought it would thanks to Joe Biden and the Democrats.

      1. I think this is more because of obamma and not fjb. obamma got the money and infrastructure in place and we are seeing the results now.

SEIU, antifa, blm, adl, aclu, HR depts, government agencies (AG is a shithole since obamma, for example – not to mention the intelligence agencies)

        1. The Senior Executive Service is what Obama used to take over the government beyond his illegal installation. The 6,000 gatekeepers he put in are still there, and they sit atop every agency that coordinates with the executive branch.

“Members of the SES serve in the key positions just below the top Presidential appointees. SES members are the major link between these appointees and the rest of the Federal workforce. They operate and oversee nearly every government activity in approximately 75 Federal agencies.”

          https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/senior-executive-service/

Trump was only able to “cut” or keep empty 8% of them.

“Between calendar years 2016 and 2018, almost 8% of Senior Executive Service positions were vacated or remained empty due to a higher-than-usual level of voluntary departures and lower-than-usual number of accessions. ”

          https://www.govexec.com/management/2020/12/federal-workforce-attrition-under-trump-administration/171045/

        2. Add the Military. Obama weeded out all Flag Officers, and Generals that were Patriotic, no nonsense Military Fighters. Replaced them with Miley types. True Military pros refused to put up with Obama’s shit and use of race to sow dissension. The Military was a shinning example of how to stamp out racism and achieve excellence. The Military did not have to bring its performance down to the lowest common denominator, to treat all soldiers the same. But Obama has in fact setting back Race relations back 50 years.

  15. the FBI, and Intelligence is embedded in all the free speech platforms
so far only twitter X has been partially liberated
