Dr. Christopher Duntsch is facing both civil and criminal charges over his injuring four patients and killing one patient, Floella Brown. He is also under investigation for at least 10 other botched surgeries. What is even more chilling however is the evidence in the case, including an email where Duntsch writes one of his employees that “I am ready to leave the love and kindness and goodness and patience that I mix with everything else that I am and become a cold blooded killer.”

Philadelphia police officer Matthew Zagursky, 32, appears to believe there is no better time to close a sale than a traffic stop. Zagursky was selling tickets to the “Police and Fire Hero Thrill Show fundraiser” and decided to make a rather curious pitch: buy these tickets or I take your car.
We have another academic who has found himself in an embarrassing criminal case involving prostitutes. Keiser University’s President Matt McEnany, 60, was mugged and carjacked by two women on what the police say was a “sexual rendezvous.” McEnany was reportedly meeting with two women identified only as “Luscious” and “Brittany” and was struck from behind when he got out of his 2011 Toyota Venza Sunday night.
Judge Michael Coll of Delaware, Pennsylvania has vacated a child support order and apologized after a bizarre exchange with a party and his lawyer. Coll seemed intent on commenting on the Greek heritage of Kostas “Gus” Hartas despite repeated objections by his lawyer. To the credit of his lawyer, he continued to object as Coll demanded to be able to establish that “Greeks never pay taxes.” No doubt he will now warn his colleagues to beware of Greeks bearing lawyers.

While the attention nationally has been on the server of Hillary Clinton and the ongoing investigation, there is a new development in the effort to acquire another set of emails that should cause public outcry. Two years ago, the State Department officially stated that there were no emails responsive to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request about a close Hillary Clinton adviser’s contact with the media. Now, after the intervention of a federal judge, the Department has admitted that it has located 17,855 emails that appear to match the criteria. From 0 to 17,855 and no one seems particularly bothered by the false statement of the State Department in its early response to the lawful request under FOIA. No one is under review at the State Department for possible termination or even discipline. No one is being transferred or retrained. The government first says that there were no emails and then is forced to admit that there are potentially thousands. It is being treated as just another day in the life of our government.

There is a bizarre tragedy in Honolulu where a man sought to keep a 19-year-old man from committing suicide at the University of Hawaii. The man on the ledge of the campus housing ended up taking both himself and the older man, aged 24, down with him. As fate would have it, the older man died and the suicidal man survived with serious injuries.
Lambert’s Cafe in Missouri calls itself the “Home of the Throwed Rolls” after its signature practice of lobbing dinner rolls by servers to guests. It is now accused of serving up an unrequested tort after Troy Tucker was hit in the eye and has sued the restaurant for medical bills and legal fees.

Finally, Abraham Maslow and Satan can agree on something—the conspiracy theorist who made this movie achieved self-actualization. Clearly this was the highest achievement in the CT world and for me one of the funniest and most unbelievable I had the pleasure of witnessing. And most astoundingly, I did not need to be a card carrying member of the illuminati to experience it.

King County Deputy Sheriff Deputy Amy Shoblom has been fired after after an internal investigation determined she falsely accused a bus driver of using a profanity during an argument with her sergeant. It is an interesting case where the question turned on whether a bus driver used profanity. The case is one of honesty and integrity as the basis for termination of one and possibly two officers.
Ohio magistrate judge Stephen Edwin Weithman has been suspended from not just the bench but any legal practice in a bizarre case where he was accused of such things as ogling a female witness in a case involving the alleged distribution of nude photos of the woman by her ex-husband. Weithman was found to have failed to comply an earlier order.
April R. King, 35, is facing a particularly bad criminal case after a police body cam video by Apopka police allegedly showed her using her 4-year-old son to blow into an in-vehicle Breathalyzer so it would start. She is accused of leaving her kids in the car to drink at a bar.

Pennsylvania beauty queen Brandi Lee Weaver-Gates, 23, has been charged with fraud after police concluded that she lied about have having leukemia to garner donations and benefits. She has been ordered to “return her sash and crown.” That however will be the least of the problems for the former Miss Pennsylvania U.S. International pageant winner. Police now say that fundraisers like “Bingo for Brandi” were frauds. Unlike beauty, cancer is not something that is left to the eye of the beholder.
For centuries, anthropologists will debate what caused the world to give the Kardashians millions for just being the Kardashians. No observable talent. No particular skill set. Just being wildly materialistic and superficial people. One person who does not appear particularly interested in exploring such anthropological questions is Good Day Orlando anchor John Brown who walked off his live program rather than participate in another Kardashian story. China remains one of the world’s most repressive regimes in the denial of free speech, association, and other basic rights in the “People’s Paradise.” The latest target of the government is music. The regime has posted a list of 120 tunes that can no longer be played in the country as harmful to “public morality.” Obviously, even the censors manning “Great Firewall of China” may have a hard time keeping music from the masses.
