The voting continues with the ABA. Some would say that we are outmatched in second place with 66 votes to The Legal Satyricon with 106. But every great movie from Rocky to Star Wars has the underdog struggling before a thrilling victory. Yea, that’s us. Part Rocky, Part Jedi. Worse yet, that means a planet will be destroyed (who needs to threaten kittens) if we lose. By the way, the low numbers over all are the result of a weirdly rigid and awkward voting system. The result is that it suppresses the votes overall and requires people to go through a couple of steps. Below is your weekly inspiration to get the vote out.

I assure you, when I aim my slingshot at legal academia, professors like Turley are NOT who I am aiming at. I happen to be a Turley fan.

No disgrace in being busted. I note with interest that our friend over at Satyricon, Marco, has penned a stinging diatribe against legal education and law professors today. Pure coincidence I am sure given his nonchalant dismissal of any conceit associated with the ABA contest. In our competition, a poster named John gives us another cause and another way to express ourselves. A petition to support MoH winner Col. Barfoot in his quest for variance. Thanks for the Kenmore story. A little happy ending makes some of the rest of the news not any less worse, but a little more tolerable. And good on Ms. Ingraham. I’m sure Kenmore will have a good life with her.
