Top 100: ABA Top Blog Competition Begins

It is that time of the year for our annual blawgletting — the ABA top blog competition. We have once again been selected as one of the top 100 legal blogs (of over 3000) and nominated for the IMHO (opinion) category and it is time to release our minions upon the field of blog battle. Vote here to defend our way of life and the future of the planet.

This year, the editors put us up against pretty tough competition: the conservative legal site The Volokh Conspiracy. VC is one of the top most visited sites with an extremely loyal following.

Remember no high school friend is too distant or any relationship too casual to be coerced into voting. What better way to reestablish a long dormant relationship than a call to discuss this blog and its insatiable need for attention and approval?

Good luck to all of the competitors (even those in the IMHO category)!

Only three weeks of voting left, peoples of the blogosphere. The Prof works hard so we can play hard.

Keep wrangling in those votes! It’s a small price to pay for victory!

  2. I have contacted “Anonymous” of “Operation Payback” Wikileaks fame … they love to hit “enter”

    A record spread to date!
    Keep it up, Team Turley!

  4. Professor Turley,

I voted for you (I was number n where n is an integer between 1 and, say, 40,000,000,000 – I’m sure your total will get this high once you can figure out how to turn out the protozoan vote). I was wondering when I could expect delivery of my fantastic wealth and endless happiness…

  5. As if the name “Right Wing News” wasn’t hysterical enough (given that ‘news’ is supposed to be factual and without political or any other kind of bias), I thought it was really funny that a group calling themselves “Right Wing News” has a pistol on their PayPal button.

    How very appropriate.

To celebrate (and because I couldn’t choose even if I wanted too) we’ve got a twofer…

  7. Couple of Texas votes were sent your way. Daughter taking first Con Law exam today.

  8. Also, I recently saw a trailer for the Coen Brothers upcoming version of “True Grit” and the song featured prominently in it. What a great song for a movie about a bounty hunter.

  9. Blouise,

The first time I heard that I was driving late at night out in the country. Although it was 80 degrees out (a brutally hot summer night), that song sent a chill down my spine. The man certainly had gravitas in his voice.

  10. Buddha,

I listened to the Cash number after I posted Presley … I’d never heard Cash’s version of that piece … powerful!
