I recently wrote a column about how “American politics has become a matter of simple amplification.” This week, Lia McGeever vividly made this point at the San Francisco Board of Advisers by choosing to simply scream into a mike as her statement on a recent case. The Board has nothing to do with the case, but McGeever wanted the cathartic moment. Nothing says the age of rage as much as a primal scream session in a public board meeting.
The Board is one of the most liberal in the country and is currently working on a massive reparations proposal to pay black residents up to $5 million each for past racism (California was a free state).
McGeever, however, begins by heaping insults on the Board as reactionary and craven:
“I live in [District 6]. I hate a lot of people on this board⦠for the reasons that led up to Banko Brown’s death. So, often I prepare something ā maybe it’s a little historical, may even be a little poetic, whatever. There’s a lot of performative people on this board who will say one thing and support Black people, homeless people, trans people, and then immediately stab you in the face ā being racist, transphobic, anti-homeless.
So I don’t have any words prepared today. I just want you to feel our pain. I don’t know if you can at this point, based off your policy choices, but I have to pretend you have some form of empathy left. So, I am going to spend the next minute screaming cause that is what is going on in here.”
She then give a prolonged, blood-curdling scream and added “That is what the trans genocide in this country, in this city, has brought me to.”
No, that is what an age of rage has brought all of us to.Ā This entire scream session was due to San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins announcing that her office would not prosecute Michael-Earl Wayne Anthony, a Walgreens security guard responsible for the shooting death of Banko Brown, a Black member of the transgender community. Jenkins declared that “the evidence clearly shows that the suspect believed he was in mortal danger and acted in self-defense.”
Our politics is now reduced to a collective scream session with zero content beyond pure unadulterated rage.
As I noted earlier, this trend was previously captured by Rep.Ā Jamaal BowmanĀ (D-N.Y.) who is shown on videotape screaming about gun control in the Capitol as his colleagues left the floor following a vote. When Rep.Ā Thomas MassieĀ (R-Ky.) asked Bowman to stop yelling, Bowman shouted back: āI was screaming before you interrupted meā ā which could go down as the epitaph for our age.

Apparently, now the U.S. Navy has employed a transsexual for televised RECRUITMENT initiatives. Let that sink in.
Just search-engine the key words, -it’ll pop up for you.
I’ve both racked and wracked my brain trying to wrap around the reason for the sudden popularity of trans and the LGBQT over the last 12-18 months or so. It’s not about anti-discrimination; it’s about promotive/pro-normalcy.
I can come up with no other explanation but that it is political: a progressive/left effort to gather up all the marginal, STATISTICALLY-insignificant number of persons who cling to some sort of label/identification/classification for the purpose of connectivity/existential relevance,—then exaggerate their presence/importance/normalcy in society— and use that classification/identification to bring them under the Big Tent as VOTING BLOCs.
I am quite neutral on their conditions/proclivities, such as, if they are/were my neighbors, etc., but I have a real problem with the promotion to SIGNIFICANCE and NORMALCY in order to win their votes.
Small correction–visually digitized, not televised. (e.g., as “Digital Ambassador” on social media sites such as TikTok, Instagram, etc,

Lin,
I think you are on to something.
I myself, dont care. It is none of my business. It is none of the governments business, none of the church’s business. What two consenting adults do in the privacy of their own home is no one business but their own.
Trying to normalize pornography in elementary, middle or high schools, drag queen shows for underage teens or children, I have no idea what to make of that.
The Navy trying to recruit using a trans ambassador?
Our enemies must be laughing at us.
Upstate Farmer: I think we both agree that we welcome persuasive, reasoned discussion, over IN-YOUR-FACE confrontation, — especially when used to gain political party strength.
I respect your comments, because you handle your comments in a manner that I am sure the good professor appreciates, and if you disagree with me that we agree, I invite and would consider/think about your challenge.
Lin, I think it is political. A short-sighted attempt to destroy the moral fabric of our nation and provide an anything goes attitude while the elitists garner more power for themselves.
Maybe it is a bit like the colosseum. Let the lions provide entertainment while the leaders threaten their people.
S. Meyer: Yup. If we ask ourselves, “But why (are they doing this?),” it is hard to come up with other rationale than political.
Well said. Continuing with the problems of the trans agenda, I have a problem with the introduction/indoctrination of this stuff into our schools systems, especially at the elementary school level.
“College professor wanted to rape 7-year-old girl, promised to bring her āfavorite chocolate barā and āThe Little Mermaidā doll: FBI”
According to a criminal complaint filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California, Githens on March 25 reached out to the undercover agent via the Grindr dating app by searching for the tag āparent.ā The undercoverās ātaboo-friendlyā profile was also tagged with the words ādirty,ā ādiscreet,ā and ācurious.ā
The undercover told Githens that he had a 7-year-old niece with whom heās been sexually active and the conversation quickly moves onto the encrypted messaging app Telegram.

I think she heard Trump just got reelected. She just couldn’t handle the good news.
it appears Disney is facing another financial loss with its most recent film. Disney is losing money on many fronts and this does not help their woke legal battle against Floridians. Perhaps the trans folks should tell their allies to support Disney’s new film and take a few kegs of Bud Light with them to offset the financial ruin they have caused these companies. Throw in a primal screen just for kicks

James Gunnās Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 topped the Friday box office chart with $48.2 million for a projected domestic opening of $110 million, on the very low end of expectations and well behind the last film in the standalone Marvel Studios franchise. The movieās initial performance isnāt welcome news for Marvel or Gunn, who now runs rival DC Studios, and is sparking further concern that superhero fatigue has settled in at the box office.

Estovir,
Been reading Disney’s Peter Pan and Wendy is a fail too.
Critics reviews speak well to the film, but audience reviews tell a different tale.
Ever since wokeism has hit the box offices I tend to believe the audience reviews more so then the paid critics.
Good thing Disney did a direct to streaming rather than face another box office bomb.
Next up, the live action Little Mermaid.

The government gives out cash based on race. How does that not violate the Equal Protection Clause?
“Rishi Sunak refuses to apologise for UK slave trade or to pledge reparations”
PM says ātrying to unpick our history is not the right way forwardā in response to Labourās Bell Ribeiro-Addy.
Rishi Sunak has refused to apologise for the UKās role in the slave trade or to commit to paying reparations.
– The Guardian, 26 Apr 2023
Old,an, does it matter?
Yeah I would think so.
Old man, to you and me it does. They could care less.
Bob – perhaps, but isn’t a court challenge inevitable? And what are the chances a race-based governmental cash giveaway will survive a challenge based on the Equal Protection Clause?
āA man may take to drink because he feels himself to be a failure, and then fail all the more completely because he drinks. It is rather the same thing that is happening to the English language. It becomes ugly and inaccurate because our thoughts are foolish, but the slovenliness of our language makes it easier for us to have foolish thoughts.ā
Politics of the English Language, George Orwell, 1946
I suppose one has to scream if they lack the ability to express themselves clearly through language.
Go be crazy somewhere else.
In an effort to try to elevate the discussion of transgender issues around here today and in the future, let me quote and cite to two widely respected conservatives around here. Professor Turley about a year ago on this blog said: āI happen to believe that teachers can and should teach gender identities in relevant coursesā. Justice Gorsuch in the majority 2020 Bostock decision said that the prohibition of āsexā discrimination in employment in title 7 of the Civil Right Act of 1964 includes gender identity and sexual orientation.
With respect both are wrong.
The education of our chilren is the duty of their parents – not the state.
To the small extent that we improperly allow the state into education – Gender issues are not their business.
That is as stupid as claiming that Schools should educate students to be democrats.
With respect to Bostock Gorsuch’s error is obvious in the recent victories in various events that are excelusive to women, by men who are only claiming to be women – for the duration of the event.
Gender – according to the LEFT is entirely subjective.
Once you accept that as true. either you are FORCED to distinguish between men and women solely on Sex,
or you can not longer have any distinctions at all.
Increasingly biological males who openly claim to be women solely for the purpose of competing in womens events are doing so and winning them.
https://slaynews.com/news/bearded-man-wins-womens-poker-event-identifying-female/
All you have succeeded at is demonstrating that you can not have a functioning reality where constraints are subjective.
It does not matter whether we are talking about Trans or any other purely subjective measures – you can not make them work.
Subjective arrangements are trivial to game.
The universe follows rules – not whim.
In an effort to try to elevate the discussion of transgender issues around here today and in the future…
Maybe you were born in the wrong millenium. Ancient Greece used children for sex as their objects of pleasure and practiced infanticide. Clearly they elevated the discussion of that topic back then. Alas, Christianity pushed back such barbaric practices and, well, the rest is history.
Do you wear a greek toga and a wreath of olive leaves?
No. Just hoping for a respectful and civil discussion on gender identity issues and thought that Professor Turley and Justice Gorsuch could help.
I question the exactitude of Turleyās quote or the context of the remark. Can you provide a link for your quote providing more of Turley’s discussion?
Relevance and the maturity of the group is the issue. In general, there is no need to provide gender study training. If there are unusual circumstances, it is imperative to inform parents ahead of time so that they can provide their consent.
See JTās post NSTA Guide (etc) from 5/22/22 for context of quote.
Maybe my search missed it. Since you have the date and quote, why not provide the link and the paragraph containing the sentence.
TIA
That would be hard to find without a link, but for the record, Turley is not a conservative. He might believe that, and I have no strong disagreement with the statement since there are situations where such teaching would be appropriate with parent notification.
My question is, what hours do we forgo to teach that subject? Math or reading?
“Christianity pushed back such barbaric practices and, well, the rest is history.”
That history, which religionists keep trying to evade and whitewash, is the Dark Ages. And for children:
Infant mortality of at least 30%. Rampant child abandonment and slavery. Widespread ignorance and starvation.
Not an ideal time to be a child.
Sam,
Then?
Or now?
Sam is not interested in facts nor defending his anti-grand narratives shtick. He gets a hard on when he sees my Christocentric comments, and sees an opportunity to sling his anti-grand narratives tropes (vis a vis Christian thought from St Augustine to today). It matters not to Sam that infanticide was celebrated in Ancient Greece, nor that more than 60 million lives have been murdered in utero since Roe v Wade. No, for Sam, the anti-grand narrative is the one and only thing that matters, e.g. children during the Middle Ages, because Sam “knows” what happened during those times.
Postmodernists like Sam have 3 dogmas:
1. relativism
2. self-referential
3. condescension
Research “postmodernism” and you will understand. Argue with Sam about abortion and he follows the above 3 predictably. Alas, Sam thinks he is Michel Foucault or Jean-FranƧois Lyotard. He is just another boring moral relativist who adheres to self-deification while being condescending. Nothing new under the sun
“. . . children during the [Dark and] Middle Ages . . .”
If you stomp your feet hard enough, maybe those pesky facts about the brutality of life under your ideology will simply vanish.
“Postmodernists like Sam . . .”
If you knew what you were talking about, and were intellectually honest, you’d realize that my comments to the Leftists on this blog prove the exact opposite.
Well actually no Professor, that’s not what “our” politics have come to, since Republicans aren’t screaming, throwing poop, burning down cities, etc. That’s why the left clings so desperately to the j6 narrative despite the mounting evidence that the whole thing was a staged FBI setup. It’s all they have.
George asks: How low can America go?
We have not gone as low as we can go. Consider: we know what the T stands for in LGBTQ+, but what lurks behind that enigmatic plus sign?
Hint, like the word “plus” it starts with a ‘p’. For the time being, it is concealed behind a bland mathematical operator. But I predict it will be the next thing to become normalized.
Does “p” stand for NAMBLA – North American Man Boy Love Association?
If Americans don’t stop it, it will be an infinite low, by definition.
George – that is one example. Another hint is that it also goes by the initials MAP.
LGBTQ+ is an alias of the transgender spectrum, where gender refers to sex-correlated attributes (e.g. sexual orientation) and trans- refers to a state or process of divergence. Pedophilia is trans/social, and we live in a state of social progress. Forward!
Screaming Transhee
LOL!
What? No demon tearing out of her body in the end?? What a let down.
At least when you promise the audience a horror-show level performance, you come through in the end with Steven King–gates of hell– type of ending.
Young people these days, they have all the rage but none of the evil spirit.
“What fresh hell can this be?”
– Dorothy Parker
______________
Whatever will be the next “fresh hell,” NAMBLA?
How low can America go?
The communists (liberals, progressives, socialists, democrats, RINOs, AINOs) have destroyed the Constitution as an act of treason and led America into the sump.
Welcome to the battle front.

Last days of the Roman Empire all over again
What a waste of a human life!
I think she gave the San Francisco Board of Advisers her manifesto, or at least part of it.
People sometimes ask, how did we get here? I’m reading a book about that, which seems pretty informative: Carl R. Trueman, Strange New World.
https://www.crossway.org/books/strange-new-world-tpb/
From what I’ve read so far, it goes back to enlightenment thinkers such as Jean-Jacques Rousseau and Rene Descartes, and then on through the Romantic period in literature and art, all of which redefined the concept of the self. (Trueman’s longer, treatise-type work on the same subject is called The Rise and Triumph of the Modern Self.)
The self was previously understood as a combination of thoughts, actions, responsibilities, and human nature. It included the mind, body, and conduct of an individual. With the new thinking it is reduced solely to a person’s inner thoughts, as influenced by nature. The self was previously understood as having a dark side, which explains morally evil behavior. In the new thinking it was understood as starting out pure and good, but corrupted by society’s rules of manners and conduct (hence the concept of the “noble savage” untainted by society).
So . . . while a statement like “I’m a woman trapped in a man’s body” would have been nonsensical to my grandfather, today it’s accepted as truth. Two generations ago, a person who expressed that would have received treatment for his mind, to bring it into alignment with physical reality. Today, the preferred treatment is to alter the body to bring it into alignment with the mind.
Judged by the philosophy which has developed over several hundred years and brought us to this moment in time, this screaming person at the meeting is to be commended for being “authentic” – that is, she is acting consistent with the concept of expressive individualism. She is expressing her inner feelings without subjecting them to any filter imposed by polite society.
We are seeing an experiment play out in real time, and the result of that experiment is: expressive individualism taken to its logical conclusion leads to chaos.
Trans/gender (e.g. homosexual), trans/social (e.g. cross-dresser), or confused, unhappy, etc?
The first condition is generally stable, the second has a minority entertaining appeal, while the latter can progress to self-abortive or mass abortive intent.
A confused woman encouraged by mainstream media and professional projects that warn of diverse, equitable, and inclusive treatment, aborts six people including three children. Trans/homosexual socially distance from others in the transgender spectrum. An insane homeless man threatens passengers on a subway in NYC. Levine dreams of Herr Mengele decades after John Hopkins concluded that so-called “gender-affirming care” is divorced from reality, where therapy fails unpredictably in the majority of subjects to mitigate psychiatric dysphoria and abortive intent, which may be stable why certain classes in the spectrum (e.g. trans/homosexuals) are considered separately from unstable alternatives.
It encapsulates the deep thinking of the modern American progressive
