Oregon Woman Slashes Throat Of Man At Taco Bell . . . Receives Only Seven Years

Oregon seems to have a rather generous criminal code. Caley Mason, 22, tried to murder a man by slitting his throat at a Taco Bill. She then fled the scene and left 48-year-old Jason Luczkow to die with an 8-inch gash across his face and throat. He survived with the help of 100 stitches. Her boyfriend was also arrested. Mason however was given just seven years after pleading guilty to second-degree assault. I fail to see the justice in that sentence for the victim.

#IMPEACHMITTROMNEY: Trump Appears To Call For The Impeachment Of Mitt Romney In Tirade of Personal Attacks

Utah Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) recently stated what many have observed in the wake of the Ukraine call disclosures — the push by President Donald Trump for Ukraine (and now China) to investigate his political rivals is unacceptable. The response from President Trump was both personal and perplexing. He denounced Romney as a “pompous ass” and seemed to call for his impeachment — even though there is not only no impeachment provision for a sitting U.S. Senator and Utah does not even have a recall provision. Sen. Susan Collins (R, Maine) has also made measured but critical comments recently.

“So You Write Propaganda, Right?”: Journalist Files Complaint Against Customs and Border Protection

There has been a disturbing trend of complaints from journalists who allege that they were harassed entering the country by CBP officers about their coverage of President Donald Trump and related issues. The latest complaint is particularly egregious if true. Journalist Ben Wilson says that he was forced to admit that he “writes propaganda” to gain entry back into the country. The encounter, which is presumably on tape, is chilling in its lack of professionalism and abuse.

Egyptian Speaker Cites Hitler As Model For Infrastructure Leadership

Ali Abdel Aal, Egypt’s parliamentary speaker, triggered an outcry after he used Adolph Hitler as a model for infrastructure leadership. Abdel Aal explained “Hitler had his mistakes, but what allowed him to expand eastward and westward was that he created a strong infrastructure.” Well, that and a combination of war crimes, genocide, and wanton destruction. Most people do not start with the good roads on that list of notable elements of Nazi rule.

Report: Trump Allegedly Suggested Shooting Migrants In The Legs And Building A Moat

The New York Times is reporting that, based on interviews with more than a dozen White House officials involved with a meeting in March, President Trump suggested shooting migrants in the legs to slow them down. When cabinet members told him that his some of his proposals were illegal, Trump reportedly yelled “You are making me look like an idiot!. I ran on this. It’s my issue.” The paper also alleges that Trump suggest a moat filled with snakes or alligators. The sheer number of sources is illuminating in this story. There has always been a surprising number of leakers in this White House but the numbers appear to be growing.

Professor: Tom Brady’s Popularity Due To White Supremacy

Professor Kyle Kusz, who teaches a kinesiology professor at the University of Rhode Island, has declared yet another example of the culture of white supremacy in America: Tom Brady. Kusz concludes that it is white supremacy that explains the popularity of Brady in his book “Making American White Men Great Again: Tom Brady, Donald Trump, and the Allure of White Male Omnipotence in Post-Obama America.” It is a bizarre theory since, as I have patiently explained in the past, Brady’s success is only explained by the fact that he sold his soul to the Devil decades ago and he is watched over by a barely disguised Cerberus in the form of Bill Belichick.

German Court Rules Hangovers Are Legal “Illnesses”

A German court in Frankfurt was ruling on false health claims in a product advertising case when it made a notable threshold finding: a hangover is a legal “illness.” The finding was necessary to define the product as claiming to heal of human illness. The ruling explains its reasoning, but my question is whether the finding would mean that having a hangover would also then qualify as an illness to missing work and other employment protections. I ask because this month a French court ruled that the family of man who denied having sex while on a business trip could file for compensation for a work-related injury or death. Does this mean that in the European Union, the family of a worker who drinks himself to death might be able to receive compensation for a work-related death?

Biden: I “Have Never Spoken To My Son About His Overseas Business Dealings”

Joe Biden was speaking with reporters in Iowa when Fox News reporter Peter Doocy asked the relevant question about the controversy over his son’s windfall business dealings while he was Vice President. Doocy asked “How many times have you spoken to your son about his overseas business dealings?” Biden’s response was the second greatest surprise from the press scrum. Biden declared “I have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings.” The greatest surprise was what followed. Nothing. The rest of the press corps let Biden walk away without a single follow up answer of how it is possible for Biden could fly to China on Air Force II with Hunter Biden and never hear that his son was about to close an over billion dollar deal with the government’s Bank of China. Nothing. I just wrote a column noting the conspicuous lack of interest in the Biden deals by the media. Biden simply attacked Trump and barked at Doocy to “Ask the right questions!” He then continued on with his campaign.

This morning on NPR, I discussed the latest controversy triggered by President Trump’s personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani. We have previously discussed the often conflicting statements made by Rudy Giuliani in this representation of President Donald Trump and the failure to follow a type of legal Hippocratic oath to first do no harm to one’s client. Last night Giuliani triggered another firestorm of criticism on CNN after he first denied speaking to Ukraine about investigating Joe Biden and then immediately contradicted himself and said that he did.

CNN Uses McCabe To Analyze Allegations Against Trump On Whistleblower Complaint

The CNN has been criticized for its heavily anti-Trump coverage and comments over the years. It has also received widespread criticism of hiring Trump critics, including Andrew McCabe who was fired from the Justice Department and accused of an array of wrongdoing. He is also facing a recommendation for a criminal charge for false statements. This morning however CNN’s John Berman turned to McCabe to give its expert review of the serious controversy over an intelligence community complaint reportedly against Trump. CNN largely skipped over McCabe’s precarious legal position or the past complaints that he lied about past investigations.

Trump Retweets Fake Video Of Omar Dancing On 9-11

President Donald Trump has made a mantra of his “fake news” attack on journalists. However, he has repeatedly retweeted false stories and the most recent is particularly concerning. Trump shared an edited video made by a comedian that falsely portrayed Rep. Ilhan Omar dancing and partying on the 18th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. It triggered a chorus of objections. It was also entirely untrue.

Fuhgeddaboudit: De Blasio At 0 Percent Support In New York City With A 58 Percent Unfavorability Rating

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has tried everything to jump start his presidential campaign which has wallowed a 0 in national campaigns. From promising to “tax the hell out of the wealthy” to free education to free health care, de Blasio has tried everything. One of this central themes has been to herald his own performance as the mayor of New York. However, a new Siena College poll shows that de Blasio is even less popular in New York city with 58 percent of New Yorkers holding an unfavorable view of him. Even more telling is the fact that his own city shows the same 0 percent support that he has nationwide for president. Even Billy Crystal mocked de Blasio in declaring “You are going nowhere. Come back and clean up this city.

Florida Man Who Dragged A Shark To Its Death Given 10 Days In Jail
Robert Lee "Bo" Benac III was sentenced to 10 days in jail last Thursday for dragging a shark in the back of his boat and recording the encounter in July of 2017.

We have previously discussed cruel abuse of wild animals by people who then post their twisted achievements on the Internet. One such idiot is Robert Lee “Bo” Benac III who recorded the dragging of a shark to its death behind a high-speed boat. Benac was given a generous a plea deal and sentenced to only 10 days in jail. He is the third person to face charges for the disgusting videotape shoot near Egmont Key, Florida. Benac pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor charges of aggravated cruelty to animals and violation of Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission rules. This is what you get for an open and brutal case of torturing a wild animal to its death.
