For over two years, Weiss has been investigating tax and financial issues connected to Hunter Biden’s foreign dealings. Biden has engaged in some of the most open and raw influence peddling schemes in history. That itself is “wrong,” to use his father’s standard, but not necessarily criminal. The Biden family has long been accused of such influence peddling generating millions in windfall payments. Even diplomats complained that his actions during the Obama/Biden Administration were setting back anti-corruption efforts in Ukraine.
The problem is not that Hunter Biden allegedly shook down foreign countries and companies for millions. The problem is that he may not have reported or paid taxes on all of that largess.
Weiss is calling witnesses to testify on Hunter’s lavish lifestyle and spending habits, including a former stripper who Hunter impregnated. Lunden Roberts spent years fighting to get child support, even as Joe Biden was running for president. A court finally forced Hunter to support his child.
Also called was ex-girlfriend, lingerie entrepreneur Zoe Kestan. She testified for five hours on Tuesday, the New York Post reported. Kestan reportedly detailed how Hunter would withdraw thousands of dollars and spend wildly during their relationship.
What is striking about these witnesses is that they are the type of witnesses that poison both grand juries and trial juries against a defendant. Such lavish spending details were used by the Justice Department against figures like Paul Manafort. More importantly, the testimony appears directed at showing that Hunter had far greater income than reported. That is a curious effort if Biden has “come clean” on simple reporting errors for taxes.
None of this means that Biden will clearly be indicted. Moreover, Attorney General Merrick Garland has thus far refused to appoint a Special Counsel despite the clear basis for such an appointment.
Weiss clearly has Hunter’s laptop, which details millions in foreign payments as well as lavish gifts and expense accounts. What is not known is whether Weiss has pursued other possible crimes, including potentially criminal financial transactions or being an unregistered foreign agent. Much depends on the scope of the investigation. The uncertainty is precisely why some of us have called for a special counsel. President Biden’s family is not only implicated in these dealings but shared accounts with President Biden are discussed in emails.
In the meantime, the Weiss investigation chugs along. It is a curious approach if, as suggested by some supportive legal experts, this is a relatively minor tax reporting investigation.

Yadda yadda. Children of political figures sell influence. Some even from actually in the White House. See Vanks and Jared. Hell, Jared supplied the intell to the Saudis they used to assassinate a journalist. I’m amused no one has brought up Bush Jr. In the influence peddling realm since previous to the Trump offspring he was the king. It was his job in his father’s white house. Couldn’t even see the father without going through the son. Despite being corrupt practice It’s sort of practical actually. Thing is, D’s children are often too young when their parent is in office.
The idea of a Special Counsel for Hunter is hilarious. It can only be promoted by someone who is a partisan hack. He’s not even in the White House inner circle. Turley has to live with selling ou so hard after this.
Elvis
Just like prison time is worth committing a crime to criminals, no amount of sanctions will stop Putin. Having a military to run rough-shod over everyone is worth it to him, sanctions be damned. It’s not the kill, its the thrill of the chase.
“What’s past is prologue” = Nutin’s gonna happen.
Turley sure loves flogging dead horses. It’s interesting that Turley is deeply concerned about influence peddling, but only focuses on Hunter Biden. He never focused on influence peddling by Trump’s kids. After all they DID benefit from their daddy’s position. Kushner certainly did.
Turley only has allegations and innuendo to string along a plausible argument when it comes to Hunter Biden. Even he tacitly admits no crimes have been committed. Getting money from foreign companies is perfectly legal. Trump’s kids did it all the time. Ivanka’s products are all made in China.
Trump has had tax problems since forever and far more serious than Hunter Biden. But Turley hasn’t made a peep about it.
It’s funny that Turley’s column on Trump’s freedom of speech issues are put in an “uncategorized” section instead of the free speech section of his blog. It looks like he didn’t want to make it an obvious discussion.
Trump is irrelevant to whether Hunter or Joe are guilty. Are you asking Professor Turley to do their time for them?
I used to despise Stephen Colbert, but this made me like him:
https://youtube.com/watch?v=9wcSFoOPn3U
I usually watch Fox, but I must give credit where credit is due: In a short span of time, Colbert delivered more substance about Ukraine than what you get from Foxnews in a longer span of time. And at least he’s not an atheist. That’s a redeeming quality.
Late at night when it’s very very quiet and my mind has a chance to wind down and become undistracted by the ‘news o’ the day,’ I wonder what would happen if Hunter Biden were somehow made available for interrogation of the enhanced variety – like they used at Guantanamo on the radical Muslims to get to the unvarnished truth……I don’t think it would take much to crack Hunter open and get the whole story. He is not a strong man.
I don’t like of how cruel and unfair people can be, so I don’t care if they are ever destroyed in a nuclear war. It would serve them right.
What people think of you might matter if you’re a member of a clique, but Putin is not a member of any clique,
and you can’t manipulate him with your thoughts. He plays by his own set of rules.
All we need is one big domino to fall. Where will it come from? Durham, Weiss, Republican Congress? If it falls, a lot will come down with it and will make falling skyscrapers look almost simple. If we get these investigations in congress, then Nancy Pelosi may indeed regret how she stacked the January 6 committee. There are good and honest democrats out there and they have the good of the county in their heart also. They must worry about what will happen to their party if this all fails. A similar event occurred in 1932 and resulted in almost total Democratic control of Congress, Presidency, and Supreme Court for 20 years.
If a tree falls in the forest and no one hears it, does it make a sound? Regardless of facts known and forthcoming, if the press ignores it, no sound will be heard.
There are too many dirty hands involved on both sides for any dominos to fall. Until we purge the swamp things will proceed as usual because all of their lives depend on the lie continuing. The corruption has passed the point of being healed by traditional legal means.
Alma says:
“The corruption has passed the point of being healed by traditional legal means.”
I don’t know about that: Trump is being investigated by traditional means for his potential corruption. I don’t know whether he is corrupt, but we will soon find out if he is indicted in New York and Georgia and thereupon convicted. If he is not, I will say that he is an innocent man. But I got a feeling that you will say he is innocent even if he is found guilty!
“investigated by traditional means for his potential corruption.”
Jeff has provided us with a new charge against Trump, potential corruption. Only an empty head can come up with something like that and then add, “I don’t know whether he is corrupt.”
Does anyone doubt Jeff’s affliction with tertiary TDS? At least when we are done reading this reply, we can all have a big laugh at Jeff’s expense.
Hunter. Hunt Her. Hunt Him.
When the R’s take over the House soon, priority one should be hauling all of these miscreants before a congressional committee and making them answer very simple questions like, “Hey Frank or Hunter, who was the Big Guy you alluded to in all of those emails?” And what is the 10% that he is getting? I assume they will all take the 5th. Should be interesting.
Should be, but without Trump, they won’t. They will cave, and go along to get along, like always. And the beat goes on. Nothing will ever change.
The unseemly details of the life of Hunter Biden is good fodder for print and for regular folk to be outraged.
Possible criminal or illegal acts are another matter.
But all this begs the question – when will congress act to prevent influence peddling by family, friends , business associates , particularly when it involves foreign governments and the people’s money ( government contacts).
I’m not holding my breath .
Please, there is more than the letter D involved in the cover up of all this and that would be the letter R.
January 3, 2023 will offer considerable relief, but much damage will accrue through the very distant January 20, 2025. Just look to our “liberal” neighbors to the north as an example of the great “progress” that can be achieved in just a few short weeks if corrupt authoritarians really apply themselves. Of course they’re going to require another “emergency” to suspend or curtail your rights as covid hysteria loses its motivational force, but there are some primed candidates in the queue. America has been in peril before, but not since its founding has its population been so utterly void of the common purpose of individual liberty.
“[T]here are some primed candidates in the queue.”
Number 1 in that queue is: “Threat to democracy” (which has now replaced the Covid ticking clock). And the essence of that “threat?” — “white supremacists,” “domestic terrorists,” and “insurrectionists.” In other words, anyone who disagrees with the current establishment.
Wow.
“white supremacists,” “domestic terrorists,” and “insurrectionists” =/= “anyone who disagrees with the current establishment”
The Big Guy may come to regret beefing up the IRS. Somehow ironic
whig98: Accountability for nearly all people related to the government seems to be over. They have had all this information for a long time. Swoosh! Under the rug it goes!
Tax evasion was all they could get with Al Capone. With the Bidens they are literally sitting on a mountain of evidence authorities would have killed for with Capone and claiming tax evasion. Yes, modern Democrats are somehow more pernicious than the *actual* mafia.
James says:
“Yes, modern Democrats are somehow more pernicious than the *actual* mafia.”
Am I to take it that you will claim that the conviction was somehow rigged if Trump happens to be found guilty of tax evasion?
The DNC and Democrats who are a part of it, in collusion with the Media and Big Tech, have allowed the Biden family to participate in a corrupt enterprise, using the American people for the Biden’s personal gain.
Our FBI stood by idly (possibly even destroying evidence) while Hunter’s laptop revealed the extent of his debauchery, all off of graft from foreign entities. Then some lying “50 former intelligence officials”, led by now proven liars like Jim Clapper and John Brennan, propagated misinformation and called the laptop and the associated graft the Biden family took off of foreign entities “Russian disinformation”.
The DNC and Democrat politicians have spent 5 years (as well as decades prior) as disinformation machines. They have consistently lied to the American public and the Media has trumpeted their lies. The history of Democrat lies and the Media’s collusion is almost endless – starting with Ronald Reagan right through to the Trump administration and all of the lies in-between (far too many to list here but the biggest travesties were the Covington Catholic and Kavanaugh lies).
The Biden family, of course Hunter, and now the USA by proxy, are a laughing stock on the international stage. Stop voting for Democrats who have ruined our civil discourse and have enriched themselves in the process.
Whoever you are, you are not “highly educated” except in the alt-right slop you’ve been indoctrinated to believe. The “Hunter Biden Scandal” is based on a laptop allegedly left at a computer repair shop in Delaware that Giuliani claims was provided to him. Here’s the key to all of this: Giuliani had his law license suspended for lying to multiple courts about nonexistent voter fraud. Giuliani is therefore a proven liar. According to multiple books about Trump’s disastrous “presidency”, after Trump flopped badly in the first debate with Joe Biden, Giuliani came up with the idea of derailing Biden by Trump making salacious allegations against Hunter having this laptop with all sorts of incriminating things that they thought would throw Biden off his game. See, Trump won’t listen to anyone, and because he’s a bully, he won’t let his opponent speak in debates, so he comes across as the arrogant jerk that he is. The plan backfired, so we go to stage 2: get Fox and other pro-Trump media to claim that the laptop was Hunter’s and that the stuff allegedly on the hard drive is true, thus creating a fake “scandal”, which the “media” are refusing to report on because they’re not trustworthy. And, you fell for it.
As to Kavanaugh, there were 25 witnesses begging to be heard about Kavanaugh’s true character, but who were denied by the Republicans in charge of the committee because that would water down their attacks on Dr. Ford. Dr. Christine Blasey Ford paid a steep price for telling the truth about him. Last I heard, she and her family still couldn’t return home and she couldn’t return to her job. As to “Covington Catholic”, I saw how that smirking little turd was mocking the Native American. That a-hole was not trying to be friendly.
And, your alt-right media are lying to you when they claim that the US is a “laughingstock” to the rest of the world. That was true when the fat one you worship was in office, but no more. Biden has gotten Germany to agree not to proceed with the gas pipeline, and he is pulling together all of the NATO allies to avert WWIII, Biden is admired as a world leader. Trump is a fat fop who actually praised Putin for invading Ukraine, calling him “smart” and “savvy”. Mike Pompeo’s speech about how much he “admired” Putin is being shown on Russian television as propaganda. And, you are criticizing Democrats as “disinformation machines” who “lie to the American people’?
Christine Blasey Ford was paid off at a nice price for telling lies about him. And given awards for her lies-telling.
The instigator fraud Native American adult named Phillips was beating his drum right up in the Covington kids’ face. How many millions in defamation suits has
Sandmann settled? The kid did nothing wrong.
Hunter Biden is a newsworthy scandal the media will not touch. Joe Biden’s family corruption is a scandal the media will not touch. Joe Biden’s entire presidency is a scandal the media will not touch.
Natacha is psychologically damaged by Fake News. She probably still wears a mask as if her life depended on it.
Pray for people like her. It’s all we can do.
Who “paid off” Dr. Fort, and what “awards” was she given? I want to see proof. Where’s the proof that she lied about Kavanaugh? Why wouldn’t Republicans let the 25 or more witnesses back up Dr. Fords testimony? Sandmann is a little a-hole, which you can tell from looking at his face, even if his MAGA hat didn’t tip you off. Where’s the proof of the “Hunter Biden Scandal”? And, there’s no “us vs. Natacha” either. Part of your indoctrination is to be led to believe that most Americans agree with the lies put out on alt-right media. Most Americans are not pro-Trump, which is why he lost the popular vote in 2016 and 2020.
Here’s another thing: Karen S, are you paying attention? COVID is spread via respiratory droplets. Masks of all kinds stop droplets. Surgical masks are better than cloth, and N95 and KN95 are best. The issue isn’t the size of the virus particles: it’s the droplets. So, when your alt-right media tell you that the weave of cloth masks won’t stop a tiny virus, that’s intentionally misleading. Cloth masks do stop droplets, which is how COVID is spread. Those of you who don’t believe in masks are disciples, and you’re being lied to. The reason you’re being lied to is because the ReTrumplicans want to keep COVID going as long as possible to prevent the economy from recovering because they think this will help them seize power.
Wearing a mask is useless, said Dr. Fauci. Then he lied and told us they DO work! Then he told us to wear two masks for double protection. And now there are psychologically damaged people wandering around in double and triple masks actually believing it is protecting them. Wearing a mask is as useless as Dr. Fauci.
Fauci has done more damage than good and he will be exposed and go down in history as the evil, sociopathic, corrupt little man he is.
The big reason many of the people are still wearing masks today is so they are NOT pegged as an unmasked Trump-publican or something. They wear double masks as like a badge of virtuousness. These are psychologically damaged people.
It is the MEDIA’s JOB to investigate and look into the Hunter Biden stories and then tell us, the people, what they learned. But they will not even mention it. Nada. Zippo. Nothing to see. The Media IS THE VIRUS. Fake news IS the enemy of the people. They prove it every single day.
Not one of Blasey Ford’s so called witnesses/friends were willing to attest under penalty of perjury that she was telling the truth … because she wasn’t telling the truth. Even her family didn’t believe her. Meanwhile, all of Kavanaugh’s witnesses were willing under penalty perjury because he was telling the truth.
As for Covington Catholic student, your comments indicate you have been totally propagandized (or are the propagandizer). Either way, the student is now a multi-millionaire because the media lied, even if you bought their lies.
You literally know nothing. Everything you just posted is untrue or you don’t know. Let’s start with Sandmann: although his complaint demanded millions, it was settled. You have no idea of the amount. Just because he demanded millions doesn’t mean he got it, but you believe it because you are a disciple. I very seriously doubt he got much more than nuisance value in order to save on attorney fees and further costs of litigation, and the attorneys probably took most of that for fees and litigation expenses. But, your alt-right media want you to believe that the “lying media” made this smirking little MAGA hat-wearing turd a “multi-millionaire”. The amount of the settlement wasn’t disclosed because settlement amounts are almost never disclosed. And, the amount demanded in a complaint is almost never obtained. So, you really don’t know, and neither does the lying media you rely on. So, when you claim he is a “multi-millionaire”, you prove that YOU are the one who “buys lies”.
As for Dr. Ford, nothing you say about her is true, especially that her family didn’t believe her, and there’s no proof she was lying. There were over 2 dozen witnesses who begged to testify. We don’t know what they would have testified about, but it would have been adverse to Kavanaugh. You want to believe Kavanaugh, though. He obviously wasn’t the choir boy he pretended to be, either–references to anal sex, boozing and other words from his own mouth prove this. If the Republicans wanted to be fair, everyone should have been offered an opportunity to speak on the qualification of someone for a lifetime appointment to the court of last resort. Republicans knew that the additional evidence would be bad, so they cut it off.
Two prosecutors leading Manhattan criminal probe into Trump RESIGN after new DA Alvin Bragg raised ‘serious doubts’ about case: Probe grinds to halt with NO witnesses questioned for a month
The grand jury convened for the Southern District of New York’s investigation is expected to see its term expire in April, severely hampering the probe
Probe has reportedly stalled for weeks without witness testimony or evidence
It’s not immediately clear why Bragg appears to be pulling back from it
The SDNY investigation is separate from a civil tax fraud probe being run by New York Attorney General Letitia James, which Trump was deposed for
He hasn’t been accused of wrongdoing in either of the investigations
A former SDNY prosecutor said the top attorneys’ resignation means it’s ‘dead’

“and there’s no proof she was lying.”
There is NO proof she was telling the truth. About anything. She lied like an oriental rug.
Her social media was all scrubbed to remove any tell tales about HER drinking and partying habits over the years. She’s a lying fraud who was paid off for her false testimony. Even her own family and former bestie who was allegedly with her at the traumatic drunken assault — essentially called her a fraud.
Look to her GoFundMe campaigns that raised over a cool $ million for her. You know, to cover her ‘security’ costs. All of it is money laundering fraud.
“None of this means that Biden will clearly be indicted. Moreover, Attorney General Merrick Garland has thus far refused to appoint a Special Counsel despite the clear basis for such an appointment.”
I don’t know the answer, maybe some of the legal minds here can enlighten me. Has there ever been a case where an Attorney General has appointed a Special Counsel to investigate someone outside of government?
Enigma, when said “someone outside of government” shares profits with someone inside of government (THE PRESIDENT) there should be a Special Counsel investigation.
People outside the government regularly share profits with people inside the government (e.g., a wife working in the private sector shares profits with a husband working for the government).
Why are you excusing the potential criminality that exists within the leader of our country or his family?
Why are you hallucinating?
Another excuse, except this time you are lying. You deflected the discussion from potential criminality to husbands and wives sharing income.
Allan the chihuahua continues to bark his impotent barks.
Anonymous the Stupid, your Chihuahua warned you against saying what you did, but you didn’t listen.Tour Chihuahua is smarter than you.
I don’t have a chihuahua.
But there is a little chihuahua that likes to run around my ankles, barking his impotent bark: you.
Potential criminality? Mmmm…. Hey, Trump has had a LOT of issues dealing with potential criminality. He’s being “unfairly” investigated by unfair people. It seems Hunter Biden is a victim of the same unfair treatment.
This would be more of a yes or no question. Has it ever happened before or is it being made up just for Hunter Biden?
I don’t know about appointing a Special Counsel solely for that, but Special Counsels have certainly investigated private citizens in the course of their broader investigations (e.g., Mueller investigated several people who hadn’t worked for the government, including Manafort and Stone, and Durham investigated Sussman).
Changing the rules, eh? Has a Special Counsel ever been appointed to investigate someone outside of government? Yes or no?
“Has a Special Counsel . . .”
And that matters why? The clear conflict of interest is that his father is the *president*. (At least that’s his title.)
Just wondering if we are inventing new ways to attack political foes that might never be applied to say, Eric Trump? There is a whole Justice Department, state and local law enforcement, that can deal with crimes by Hunter Biden or anyone else. The call for a Special Counsel unique to a relative of a political rival seems out of the ordinary. If it has never happened before in the history of the United States. Perhaps there’s a reason?
Here comes JeffSilberman, Anonymous and Natacha to scream…TRUMP and FOX NEWS.
Well, if it hadn’t been for Trump, for all thosewho hated Trump so badly to continually investigate over 4 years and disrupt the country for 4 years, and for the “perfect phone call”, would Hunter’s laptop have “shown up”? Would it have been a big deal? Would social media have ever cared about it? If not for the Trump presidency, it would all be “safely” under the rug. And I don’t call Trump a saint. It comes to today–Pres. Biden was involved in Ukraine in some way as vice president. It is what mystery novels are written of.
Pres. Biden’s involvement with Ukraine isn’t a mystery: he was sent there by the Obama Admin. to pressure then-President Poroshenko to fire his prosecutor genera, Shokin, for Shokin’s failures in fighting corruption in Ukraine. This had the support of the EU.
For example, testimony under oath from GHW Bush Ambassador to Ukraine, John Herbst:
“By late fall of 2015, the EU and the United States joined the chorus of those seeking Mr. Shokin’s removal as the start of an overall reform of the Procurator General’s Office. U.S. Vice President Joe Biden spoke publicly about this before and during his December visit to Kyiv.”
I don’t recall any other countries where VP Biden traveled to force the leader to fire a prosecutor for corruption. Just look at Mexico, most of Central America, much of Africa. It then again, none of the above countries had a prosecutor looking into the business dealings of A company paying big bucks to Hunter (and 10% to the big guy). As far as other countries pushing for Shokin to be fired, it seems they are always unnamed sources referenced in US MSM.
Shokin wasn’t looking into Burisma.
March 2014 – Biden becomes Obama’s point man on Ukraine
April 2014 – Hunter Biden miraculously becomes a supposed “board member” of Burisma for $1 million/year.
Early 2015 – Shokin named head prosecutor and begins investigating Burisma and its chief exec.
Late 2015 or early ’16 – Joe Biden demands Shokin be fired.
March 2016 – Shortly after Biden demands Shokin’s firing, he is fired. Only after about 10 months as head prosecutor.
Predictably, the Burisma investigation ends.
Spin away.
No, Shokin was not investigating Burisma and its chief exec.
Says who?
Ha, ha, ha. This guy is a joke.
BS! If what Herbst says was true then why did the Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland personally write Shokin in an official letter dated June 9, 2015 stating “Secretary Kerry asked me to reply on his behalf….” and “We have been impressed with the ambitious reform and anti-corruption agenda of your government….” and “The United States fully supports your government’s efforts to fight corruption and other crimes in an effective, fair and transparent manner.” and “I encourage you to continue to work closely with the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv.” Four months later a U.S. multiagency task task force on Ukraine had concluded Ukraine had made good progress in fighting corruption and deserved the loan guarantee. “The IPC concluded that (1) Ukraine has made sufficient progress on its reform agenda to justify a third guarantee and (2) Ukraine has an economic need for the guarantee and it is in our strategic interest to provide one. As such, the IPC recommends moving forward with a third loan guarantee for Ukraine in the near‐term,” an October 1, 2015 email from the task force stated. Nuland’s letter and the IPC’s recommendation all took place just months before The New York Times reported in December 2015 that Hunter Biden’s role as a board member and consultant to Burisma Holdings “undermined” U.S. anti-corruption efforts in Ukraine because Shokin’s office had an ongoing corruption investigation into that Ukraine gas company. Three months after that Times report Biden personally threatened Ukraine’s President that he would withhold $1 billion in U.S. loan guarantees if Shokin wasn’t removed. During a Senate Committee interview of Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt in September 2020; the person who delivered Nuland’s letter to Skokin, said “What I will tell you is at the beginning, it was not our expectation that Shokin’s removal would be necessary to achieve our policy goals.” When Nuland was interviewed by the same Committee and asked who came up with the idea to fire Shokin and tie his termination to the loan guarantee she replied “Frankly, I don’t remember.” So the Ambassador to Ukraine didn’t think Shokin needed to be removed and the the official who oversaw Ukraine policy couldn’t remember who came up with the idea to fire Skokin.
You quote Pyatt, but you ignore everything he said in that same testimony that undermines your preferred narrative. For example:
MR. DOWNEY: “Ambassador Pyatt, when did the U.S. government decide to condition a third loan guarantee on the
dismissal of then Prosecutor General Shokin?”
AMBASSADOR PYATT: “So I don’t actually recall the exact date or even the exact month. What I can tell you is that
there was a gradual evolution in the thinking of the interagency community about these issues.”
…
MR. DOWNEY: Okay. So, Ambassador Pyatt, based on public reporting, we understand that Vice President Biden conditioned the third $1 billion loan guarantee on the removal of Viktor Shokin. Do you know when this was first communicated to the government of Ukraine?”
AMBASSADOR PYATT: “So I would disagree with the premise of your question. It wasn’t Vice President Biden who conditioned the assistance. It was the — our interagency policy. It was a policy that was developed based on the data that my embassy was reporting from our contacts in Ukraine civil society, data that the intelligence community was reporting based on their sources, and particularly important, the advice and data that was provided by the U.S. Department of Justice and our experts who were inside the prosecutor general’s office. … I can’t tell you now when that was decided, but I’m quite confident that the documentary record fully reflects exactly how that unfolded. And I’m also quite confident that it was briefed to Congress at the time. …
“The anecdote that Vice President Biden told in those remarks is certainly consistent with the leading role that he played in conveying the U.S. Government interagency position that we had concluded that Mr. Shokin, despite many changes and best efforts, including support from U.S. Department of Justice technical advisors, had become an insurmountable obstacle to building a less corrupt Ukrainian political system. And, therefore, it was in the best interests of our shared agenda to build a modern European and function economy to see Mr. Shokin removed.”
So **originally** (which is what you focus on), they expected that they’d be able to work with Shokin, but **eventually** the US government determined that Shokin needed to be removed, and Biden communicated that on behalf of the US government.
There is no mystery about this.
Many corrupt people were dealing with Ukraine, and the Bidens, Joe and Hunter, were two. A lot of political games were being played. The Biden Family Crime Syndicate extracted money from Ukraine. Hunter was on the board of Burisma and paid exceptionally well, especially for a coke addict. Putin knows Biden is a crook, and Putin’s troops now occupy portions of Ukraine. I wonder what Putin knows about Biden and how he is dealing with him behind the scenes, or is Putin just dealing with Biden as the fool he is.
Isn’t it amazing that Putin grabs another chunk of Ukraine each time Biden is at the White House? That alone should warn us that we have a problem. His corruption there, in Russia and China, should also warn us. Kerry’s letter tells a story, but ATS focuses on some revised political statements that are meaningless generalizations. ATS is big on meaningless generalizations. ATS can’t see the forest through the pixels.
Allan the Chihuahua says: bark, bark, bark.
Nope.

My comment is directed to hullbobby.
Of course this is just a minor Tax Evasion investigation…..because for damn sure the DOJ and FBI are not going to get within Cannon shot of the real crimes…..a RICO Investigation of the Biden Family….Hunter, Jim, and Joe Biden.
Do recall the Hundreds of Millions of Dollars of DOD and State Department Contracts Brother Jim Biden obtained for Projects in Afghanistan, Son Hunter’s deals with China, Ukraine and other countries….all the while Daddy Joe denied knowing anything at all about the deals.
Face it folks….the Clintons got away with it….the Obamas got away it…..the Bidens are going to get away with it….and the corrupt DOJ, FBI, IRS, and every other Federal Law Enforcement Agency shall not prosecute a single one of them ever.
Let’s hope that the mid-term elections will result in some level of accountability.
Ralph says:
“Face it folks….the Clintons got away with it….the Obamas got away it…..the Bidens are going to get away with it….and the corrupt DOJ, FBI, IRS, and every other Federal Law Enforcement Agency shall not prosecute a single one of them ever.”
Well, let’s hope the DOJ, FBI, and IRS, etc., will turn over a new leaf and begin holding Presidents accountable for corruption. You’ll notice that Turley does not write any articles denouncing all the civil and criminal investigations into Trump. That’s a good sign that Turley does not object to these investigations and approves of Trump not being able “to get away with it” as you say. Personally, I hope the Bidens are fully investigated too. Makes no difference to me if they are held accountable.
