In Montana, people are upset over a recent tort filing. Justine Winter is suing, among others, the family of Erin Thompson and her 13-year-old son who died in a crash with her car. That might not seem too uncommon in a torts case. However, Winter was allegedly trying to commit suicide at the time by driving into opposing traffic before she hit Thompson and her son. In Florida, Charlotte County Sheriff Bill Cameron arrested a man after he took a picture of girls exposing their breasts to motorists during the local “National Night Out.” The girls turned out to be 15 so the sheriff arrested Robert Lee Blevins, 33, and charged him with felony possession of photographs of sexual performance by a child and the misdemeanor for contribution to the delinquency of a minor.

This happy fellow is Matthew Foote, 25, who has been arrested on a bizarre alleged crime. Police say that the Florida man because convinced that the family dog (a 7-year-old Dachshund Chihuahua mix) was possessed by the devil and proceeded to stab and skin the animal.

There is a call to ban tasers in Pensacola after a series of injuries and fatalities linked to the use of the weapons. In one of the most controversial cases, Victor Steen, 17, died after being first tasered by an officer and then run over by his cruiser. For the video, click here. A judge has ruled, however, that the officer responsible committed no crime in the death of Steen.

Pedro Valladares Martinez, 27, is an alleged child molester who was the subject of a rare arrest. City officials in Lake Placid reported to police that Martinez was seeking a marriage license for himself and a 13-year-old girl.

For our criminal defense attorneys, most of us would like to secure a deal like the one given to James Burden, 55, in Falkirk, England. Burden was found bouncing naked on a woman’s trampoline while masturbating. He then got down and walked naked toward the terrified woman. Giving him only probation, the Court warned Burden that the “[b]reach the probation in any way and you may be removed from the community.” It appears that bouncing naked on trampolines while masturbating is not enough to remove you from the community.
A couple of guests at the FairBridge Inn & Suites returned to their hotel room to find everything in order except one small detail: the live goat.
